As we were unable to get enough participants, sadly this event is off for now. I will try again at a future date, so keep an eye out for it!
Ok, Several people including myself are putting together a fashion show, On the beaches of Event Risa, at 7pm EST (midnight for those UK people), on Friday the 5th of July. There are five categories. The categories are as follows, with a small description of each.
Combat Readiness - Description as is. Armor is not disqualified, just not necessarily original.
Formal Attire (Uniform) - Think like being given a promotion, or attending an event for a shipmate. Somber, Serious, and official.
Formal Attire (Off Duty) - An outfit you would wear to an embassy dinner, or to another special event not involving your governments
Casual Dress - Comfort and ease at its best, from skimpy skirt and top, to long-sleeve shirt and slacks. If it looks like what you'd wear in private it fits the category
Fleet Uniform - Think from a roleplaying standpoint, what you would wear in the Captain's Chair. Something that allows you to be ready at a moment's notice.
Locaton: The boardwalk that is opposite the transporter pad will be the vista for the evening, The path having a perfect catwalk for the situation. (Location coordinates: 2024, 17, 250) Contestants will walk from the cabin at the start of the walk, to the end, where they will perform an emote of their choice for the category.
Judging: The judges are as follows, Rukia Kuchiki@stardestroyer001, Tellis@Frostaxe, Crishia Xenaya@silentescapade, and as backup at the moment, Jennifer@waukeen25. I will only be a backup judge if one other is not able to show.
Judging will be based on a score out of 10. Rating is based on originality, accuracy to the category, and overall presentation. Being unoriginal (Using a movie/show uniform, or just showing the armor for combat readiness) will NOT dock points, but being original WILL net you bonus points. After all categories are voted, there will be one final vote with the best of all 5 categories, to see who gets the best vote of all 5 finalists.
If You would like to sign up for the fashion show, please put a post with your name of the character you'll attend on, and the category you are signing up for. As instances are limited to 50 people, we are only going to take the first 30 applicants, and a total of only 6 per category (unless a category bottoms out for attendance)
PRIZES!: Yes, yes, that word everyone loves to hear.
Third place for each category will net you a modest 300k EC
Second place prize in a category will get you a nice 700k
First place in the category of choice gets you a hefty 1.3m.
If you win the finalist's prize, You will get an ADDITIONAL 1m.
This is all payed out of player pocket, with a great thanks to the benefactor known as Tia@dobes4me. But this is all for fun anyway! (Would love to see a GM show up for the event just to show the players you do care about the game still ^_^)
As stated, this is ONLY for fun. If you are going to be an a-hole about it, don't bother posting, if you aren't going to take the competition/show seriously, don't bother showing up or signing up. Have fun everyone, and see you Friday!
Sign ups: To be fair for all silver members and other members, You may only sign up for ONE category. (This may change if attendance is substantially low)
To clarify the way to sign up: Please include your character@handle and the category you're signing up for.

Thanks magnum, I played PWI for quite a few years, (working on year 7) so, I would try to get events running from time to time.... but it's all just stagnating now >.< i blame the idiots. anyway. back on topic. SIGN UP PEOPLE!
