Doff Packs Ruining Ground PVP

These riddulous doff packs are ruining Ground PVP.

Cover shield doff gives protection to players not even hiding behind shield.
Chaining attacks, electrical damage from physical strikes, chained attacks knocking out our weapons.

Players have been complaining for awhile tht PVP is too uneven, and these new Doff packs just made it worse.
I dont want to spend weeks upon weeks grinding for EC or spending Zen for Fleet Doff packs.

Answer: Take all the Ground Doffs away. Do away with them

Every Character class should have one really good one-shot ability

Sci can use thier radiation attack
Engie can use a buffed Orbital Strike or an Overpowered drone attack to make it fair.
Tac the old one shot with a Pulse or snipe

Keep the Omega HonorGuard and Jemhadar and Fleet Armor sets and let the best player win.

That is fair and even gameplay.

I can't play Ground PVP anymore while it is in the condition that it is in.

    Because of diminishing returns, anything that improves resistance in this game is not really that great. The bonus resistance provided by Cover Shield should be minor in practice, unless the bonus values are way too high. Fuse Armor damage is already a joke against most experienced players, and Weapons Malfunction is already not effective because of the immunity procs -- you should always be ready for it anyway, if you are serious about Ground PvP.

    The only thing I see terribly broken as far as new doffs are concerned is the new Security Officer one.

    ya with all the ground mark grinding ive done, i can see how those doffs can totally turn it upside down. ground is to fragile and quick for there to be doffs effecting it, in pvp at least

    new ground doffs are a joke, a waste of a good doff slot

    fuse armor doesnt do anything at all... there are a lot of ways to counter this
    weapon malfunction even more sucks because its countered by a power cell.... lol
    even the new mine doff sucks

    the only good ground doff that got launched with this new doff pack is the ambush doff, but it isnt that op

    and ground pvp isnt quick, at least for me...

    the only ground doff that is op is the medical doff.... i have 3 purple and i enter in god mode when the doctors beam down.

    It was ok when you could beam in more npc turrets or people though. :)

    The doffs are finaly getting to our ground brothers as well. lol

    remember! they sank an ENTIRE season on "fixing" ground stuff.


    nice to know they threw that all away with a couple doffs.

    I was doing an ground stf with the new security doffs and...yeah..

    About the max health you can have in ground combat is 650 on average. These new doffs managed to hit 1152 damage ticks against an elite tactical drone..and it ticks 18 times...

    Incredible how one DOff can destroy the whole mechanics of ground combat.

    seriously, it can't be that tacs are now the god-class. I mean: that DOT, caused by the new security-doff is OP. Boss-fights like Armek in Cure ground elite are now no problem anymore: Tac uses ambush, shoots, waits some seconds and Armek is down. Same for PvP: Tac uses ambush, shoots, waits some seconds, all dead, no matter if they were Engi, Sci or Tac.
    It can't be, that any Tac, no matter how much expirience he has got, can now kill every person in PvP with one shot or everything in PvE with one shot?

    Cryptic, don't you want to give us an "I-Win" button for let's say 12000 Zen? Comes out to the same result as the Tacs with the new DOT-DOff

    Those new DOffs just increase the gap between Newbies and Professionals. Furthermore they ruin the fragile balance there has been. Some of them are just overpowered/bugged.

    Make the doffs unuseable is a good way to settle this.

    Ive seen scis launch 3 nanite health monitors .. Infinite heal.

    The power cell versus the chroniton mine Engineer doff .. You are slow easy to target and the weapon may or may not work.

    On paper it looks even but in practice it dont seem to work. If its trying to even the ground between professionals and newbies its not the way to go.

    Even the entire playing field, No more fancy keybind writing . Use the only box standard. People have used the keybinds in PvP to a advantage in ways that actually have allowed them to hot swap kits and get more buffs and debuffs,, And no one can say that it aint true It happened to me when I saw a sci toon hit medical tricorder 3 times in 5 seconds.

    The playing field is unbalanced and the more they add makes it more unbalanced. Take it all away. Everyone should use the same things keybinds kits and weapons.

    PvP is a very small part of STO .. The adage of of .. we complain enough they will listen .. may not work and I wonder if they listen to us at all.

    If we all quit II dont think the small amount of what we play would even be noticed.

    They cant make everyone in the game happy cause someone wont like it. So what do they do?

    You want a even playing field and all this time its been uneven with every exploit there was.
