Very very sweet indeed.

The video the second guy in the background getting his blades mixed up.
The Falchion blade is very different from the Scimitar.
The Falction is a shorter single handed sword used primarily in Europe and Britain. It was more manageable and far more common than a full broadsword.
The Tulwar is the one a lot more like the Scimitar in style and location coming from the Indian sub continent the Scimitar from Middle East.
I know I collect swords and i have a toon ship already called Falchion I guess Ill have to change the name now.

been waiting for this one before LoR went live... BOUGHT no matter what they do with it, i got all my Zen saved up just for this and some Romulan Ships, i'm just struggling now with having time to make the 4 planned out romulan chars -.-

you can also see a new Scimitar Skin on Holodeck in the Azure Nebula PvE queue mission.
(they took the time to replace all the ships with new skins (no more Mogai and D'Deridex -.- ), sadly they did not fix the gamebreaking bug the mission has where the spawn points bug out, i'm told that happens after using Tractor Beam Repulsors?)

why did the Shield Indicator pop up when it was firing the thalaron blast?
did it go to red alert that short? or is that part of the animation for some silly reason? (it better not be)

the animated wings look friggen awesome, the green blast looks rather boring though (we've never actually seen the Scimitar fire that thing in Nemesis, i wonder how it would have looked like...).

that adds the question how powerful that blast will be, can't be as strong as the EliteSTF version of Donatra, and it has a huge loading time so players will just get out of the way... add a long cooldown to it and it may very easily be gimmicky instead of powerful. I guess it will be good enough to kill STF bosses...

hmm... what are the cooldowns on the consoles?

firing while cloaked sounds like nasty business (not even Donatra does that)
if done wrong, PvPers will be all over it ;P
i bet that has at least a 5 minute cooldown if not more.

But yepp whenever i get around to leveling up another Romulan this is going to be flown.

Pure speculation - but perhaps it has a built in Emergency power to shields when you deploy the Thalaron weapon - it looks like you have to be stopped. Perhaps when you stop and hit the thalaron botton the system gives you a free Epts - EPtS3 would be nice:):):)

Would make sense as you are a sitting duck - so an automatic EpTS3 would seriously cut down on any damage if attacked when deploying the weapon.

It popped up because the ship entered combat mode when firing, I expect.

Remember when stuff like this was just available in game and you could acquire it by just playing? now...'flip your credit card and buy it from the cash shop'.

How far we have come in MMO gaming. I remember when STO just started implementing cash shop in first year of release and all hardcore fans used to say 'Cryptic will never add P2W ships in store, it will always be just cosmetic ships'. :rolleyes:

Personally I just love all ships.. with the minor odd exception. I don't believe this ship is going to be any sort of OP "I win ship". A ship is only as good as her captain, an old statement but very good one. Currently I fly a DD and all the people who moan how bad the turn rate is and that its not a great ship.. well I'm sorry to say its an awesome ship.

Now about the scimitar I think it'll be a great ship. Maybe something like the Jem'hadar dred with obviously a few exceptions from the consoles. But I do plan on making this a very interesting ship once in my hands.

In the end some may cry, but not this guy

Probably one of the single most hideous ships in all of Trek, IMO. In general I try to forget that Nemesis ever happened, but Cryptic seems determined to drag that abomination out time and again. I noticed from the linked image of the consoles that one of the set bonuses is maneuvering thrusters. I'm going to laugh out loud if this thing turns out to have better maneuverability than the D'deridex. Hard to be enthused about that oversized hunk of serrated scrap metal, but then little about the Romulan faction really gives me reason to.
