Edit: This thread's Main Topic is on the lack of interaction between Developers and the Player Base that is us.
The issues discussed are PvP Revamp that we are still waiting on, the offer of the Scimitar information discussed in the May Ask Cryptic, and other Items and Balance issues that Cryptic said they would fix yet we still see no results on. For common statements and answers please go to post 33...
Second Edit: If there is something you believe was offered or shown to the community that we still have not recieved or had any form of update on (Example Galaxy-X Saucer Seperation). Please do share.
Third Edit: My Desired Solution: I think I would be more than content with the Developers simply stating there is something that could be done to better open a Dialog between us and them. That is really all I would like as nothing can be done now to Speed Up the release of the Scimitar, or PvP Revamp, or Flamethrowers, or Galaxy-X Saucer Seperation. These are things that take time. But is it too much to ask to have that open Dialog? I hope not.

The issue in my thread is that the Developers have neglected many promises in the past, such as that of a PvP Revamp. Yet they make this promise in an attempt to please the consumer that way not only can they make money, but the consumer gets to enjoy thier game. The problem is that these promises are not being fulfilled, now the Legacy of Romulus almost showed a new side of Cryptic, a side that made a Timeline and and kept it. Yay for Cryptic a win that restored confidence.
Now we look at the newer history of Star Trek Online, and we see some of the same tendency of delaying and promising to fix coming back. This is not why I purchased a Legacy pack.
I purchased a Legacy Pack during the closed Beta for one reason, I saw the outrage of the D'Deridex Retrofit's Bridge Officer layout and the Developers did too. They quickly promised to do something about it and did!!! Now they promised us information on a Scimitar (The only carrier that Romulan Characters can use as Tier 5 ships are off limits to us) and it appears that we will have to deal with a possible Screen Shot on Friday at best.
This is not acceptable, as being a PvPer I have seen a great many ship tested in secret that when they hit our player base, they are either broken, very underpowered, or very overpowered. Then Dstahl promises us information on the Scimitar in the May Ask Cryptic, which has still not been delivered in favor of the Summer Event. The least we could ask for as a community is some kind of "We have been delayed, Scimitar information coming in July". But we don't even get the Respect to be offered that.
Shame on you Cryptic, you were doing well by keeping us in the loop. Now you seem to think that we Loyal Consumers that have stayed with the game for years are not important enough to write one sentence.

I have seen this, it is as much of a dissapointment as the Scimitar announcemnt coming later in June. I even commented begging them to have a PvPer test it. But it is more or less picking favorites to test in Secret. A method that negates the massive manpower they could take use of.
They really do not care what the PvP community thinks. They only wish to sell a picture, but they can not sell to people who are outraged at thier endless pile of neglected issues.
By all that is human or Romulan, please, I beg you please, take a break from the forums, and the game and Star Trek in general before you wind up having some sort of coronary or stroke or finally get tossed out the airlock by your crew as they've seen you lose it one time too many. :eek:
You're carrying on about this Scimitar issue way more than is mentally, or physically healthy for a human being...or a Romulan.
p.s. I would much rather that the PvP community NEVER get their hands on a Scimitar class ship as I don't want to play something that they've degraded in order to pursue their precious "Tactical ONLY" game balance. :P

I am sorry you did not enjoy the Legacy of Romulus, I thought it was a huge step in the right direction. However, the Romulans are missing a great deal, and the testing done on tribble exposed a lot of these bugs that were transfered over to Holodeck. Unfortunately they did not look into a lot of the bug reports, and some of them were resolved that would have made the game unplayable.
So yes Legacy of Romulus did Restore my confidence, as I saw Developers taking my opinion into consideration with others.
I think everybody will agree that a promise is broken when it is not fulfilled. And seing as they still have a great deal of things promised to us that have yet to be delivered. I think we can say it is broken. Even if they ever did deliver on the PvP Revamp, or give us information on the Scimitar it is not when they said it was. Which from a standpoint of professionalism, is very Taboo.

It is in the May Ask Cryptic, I believe it is a few pages back on the main page. Like 4 or 5 if you shuffle them.
I hate this too, but I saw a few of the Devs responding very quickly at odd hours of the day and night to fix some of the problems encountered. But you are correct that is the same issue why I am angry at this.
Now to address any players who open thier arguement with It does not Bother me. This is my voice if you do not agree then state why. Do not act to defend them by stating my voice has no meaning.
And for this reason I DEMAND several devs get named and PUBLICLY FIRED for this! This will NOT be accepted! I want the ship NOW or else....

Let me destroy your point as well as the few above you. Now for people that are here for trolling, go away. The ones who seem to take the aspect of a promise meaning the words I promise are involved... you seem to not understand the aplication of the term the world promise represents. A company such as Cryptic is not an individual, there for is not expected to have the same rights and responsabilities. When persons act under the name of a company, things they say and do are representative of that company. Thus any person with understandings of professionalism will know that if you say one thing and do another, there is a conflict that is of the upmost Taboo.
Just to touch on the "I want it now" arguement that some are using to make themselves feel as if they are Trolling. Let me make you look silly, my arguement contains no vailed threats, no inuendos, no promises of a Scimitar being released or I quit. I am simply displaying my discomfort over a series of events in a method in which we are encourage to do so. The only way one comes up with the I want it now, is if they refused to read the entire body of my arguement. Please read before you post.

You are actually one of the Few that realized the issue. But to be honest, they will most likely either put up a Screen Shot of the Scimitar (with some lame quote directed at Star Trek Nemesis) or they will put up another Ask Cryptic with the Question repeated and the same answer just this time July.

I remember that actually, but the problem is that the PvP system among other things is now very low priority. But we keep getting told that the fixes for our concerns are coming, and they never arive. This is the main point here. I truly would hate if Cryptic is just pulling our strings here without any intent on delivering.
Now as for the Scimitar issue, I have no doubt it will eventually be released. Perhaps at the end of the Summer Event or around that time. Say early to mid August, which will then show that it is more or less another broken Time Table without getting so much as a "We are behind schedule".

Well comment directly intended to annoy or irritate I am going to call a troll. Read others that do not agree with me, I ofter time thank them for thier contribution. Now when players attempt to incite a respons through agressive language and attacks on my person... they are either trolling or in desperate need of maners.
I've been posting about the flamethrower and t5 costumes missing from the game since december.
And after LoR I crash in sector space trying to load new maps so goodbye doff'ing.

They have some serious work to do and it's time for the big boy patches, the ones where they actually think about the entire community not just 1 style of ship or 1 type of captain. Janeway is a pure example of this, science captains should be every much as BA as the tactical ones.

Your are wrong its not over with June yet (I am glad that you were able to decipher that as quickly as I did, but at the current time the Summer Event seems to be this weeks update. Meaning no Scimitar information based on a past history of sharing the statistics of a ship just prior to it's release.)
You should quit and demand others be fired (Please try to take my complaint seriously, over reactions and vailed threats are not the medium for which I chose to communicate.)
Hopefully this discourages some of the more common "Trolling" attempts. But if not, I will get to them as I do.
