Orions have standard human ears and more or less run the place don't they? Maybe human genetic material isn't to blame :P

Female Nausicaans and Letheans... if there are pakled and tellarite and saurian females, why not these?

Female gorns I think are just taller and bigger, so maybe that could be it.
Let us wear Swimsuits on Foundry maps or bridges please! I would pay zen for that.

Are Gorn not reptilllian? From my limited knowledge of reptiles, aren't the females of the species often larger, stronger, more intelligent and a lot more deadly? Especially when their young are threatened. I am honestly suprised that the Gorn are not a matriachal society.

As for Letheans, I would be intrigued as to what the females of that species would be like, similarly with Nausicaans, as I have know idea what kind of evolutionary roots they have.

Female Gorn would be *awesome*, although I doubt that the game could handle 8ft drakes x).

Talking about races/species and gender, it struck me that we have female borg and male borg. You may say they are assimilated from other species that have males and females, but since they do not reproduce themself, why not get rid of these features? They should be unisex, a one size fits all.

They are a collective with a queen. That looks like to me as the way things are going with insects, ants. Ants have workers, soldiers and a queen. The Borg have that too, drones and tactical drones, but they don't need gender.

HMMM, we can still recognize the individual behind the drone even though "The Best of Both Worlds" tells us Picard's DNA was rewritten.
So it seems whatever the Borg do to an assimilated individual does not alter them to such a degree their base species becomes impossible to determine. Which actually makes sense then you think about it.
The Borg only need to adjust the organic parts to such a degree that they work with the implanted technology as well as possible.
Doing any other alterations, like removing gender or species would probably require more extensive changes to DNA and/or lots of cosmetic surgery. Wouldn't that be a waste of time and resources without any noticeable result = increase in overall performance? And that's the big question here: if it does not benefit the collective but only drains resources, why should they do it?

Probably and I say a big probably, the game makers see no way to make a pretty character from said species.

Hey... speak for yourself. Personally, I like the Klingon females....

The Original devs at Pandemic (May the company rest in peace) created some concept art for female Nausicaans.

    Image link on TREK CORE

I can't speak for any Lethian concept art though. However, in an interview with Gates of Sto-vo-kor STO lead Writer Christine Tompson (Kestrel) mentioned the early concept for the Gorn female was a poster of the Arena Gorn but wearing lipstick and eyeliner.

Why these models are not in game is a good question but it likely has to do with the relative unpopularity of those races. Supposedly most KDF players either play as a Klingon of either sex, Gorn, or Orion Female.

the primary difference between gorn males and gorn females is that gorn males average about 2 meters tall and gorn females are about 3 meters tall.

but my source is a Star Fleet Battles rulebook, so not sure if relevant.

It'd probably be really easy to add female Gorn, too. Just add a button marked "Female", that produces absolutely no visible effect at all.

    Gorn Females are bigger...

Females of any species are neither intelligent nor more dedly than their male counterparts, unless you mean hefty divorce settlements and false r?pe accusations :D

They won't make any money off of them, so they won't allocate resources towards it. I feel we really DO need these options though. It keeps that leftover "Klingon Neglect" vibe around.

Female Nausicaans had concept art created by Perpetual. Letheans could be face'toothless with some different skin colorations & Gorn females could just be larger with more horns variations.

Although I would rather them produce different Gorn races/castes as outlined in their own lore book. That would be awesome!

False, and rather dumb to say.

The person you quoted is right- Many reptilian species in the real world have females who possess stronger characteristics than the males.
