Shields in Space drop like a Rock now ?

Recently while doing ESTF/STFs and other PvE events in general, I have noticed that now after LoRs release my shields drop very fast ? Has anyone else noticed this ?

An this is with some very beefed up ships btw which is very annoying >.<.

    My best guess is that it has something to do with Tholian reputation. I remember exactly the same thing happening when Romulan and Omega reputations were introduced; everything was buffed to the point where you were almost forced into obtaining the reputation bonuses. And now the cycle begins again....:mad:

    It's more severe then even that, my Andorian escort which I specifically tailored to solo a cube on elite gets hammered hard now when I should be able to tank nearly anything other then tac cubes on elite or other players in pvp.

    In some or most cases I get more hull dmg now then shield dmg if that makes Any sense lolz. what did they do give all the mobs a higher shield bleed through then intended ?

    Log it, parse it - and see what the numbers say. Anecdotal evidence is anecdotal.

    I've been intermittently having the same issue. Sometimes my shields act like they're made of rice paper, and other times my shields seem to be super reinforced but with so much bleed through that my shields can be almost full or full, but my hull will be like rice paper.

    There doesn't seem to be any pattern or reason for it.

    There's another thread somewhere in the forums that is about weapons intermittently having the same Super strength or super underpowered damage wise, and so far both instances seem to both be since LOR launch.

    Some thing else I noticed with todays new patch is that my fleet mogai heavy warbird retrofit use to have just under 15k shields with the Aegis set, I'm now sitting at 11,948, nothing in the patch notes says anything about a nerf or fix to shields ? I know they mentioned that they fixed the abnormally high hulls with the same ship, but did that also effect my max shields ?

    Haven't noticed any difference. I still shield-tank elite Tac cubes with no problem

    I have noticed that shields that I had equipped on my ship that had 6.4k shield strength dropped to under 2.5k shield strength the moment i took them off my ship and stayed that way even after i re-equipped them. this is a fairly bad bug that i noticed when checking on mk XI cap x2 shields in the exchange and noticed that they had a lower shield strength than my mk VIII covariant shield array capx2 by over 4k shield strength. and it was the same way on very rare mk XI and mk XII as well. this bug really needs to be fixed quickly as it is affecting ship survivability in pve as well as pvp.

    This sounds like the bug in which your be on the ground in dock etc, and looking at shields etc for your ship and at that point wont show its actual spec's till your in space, *an area where you can use skills etc etc*, this is actually an old bug that's been around even before LoRs release.

    Thank you for clarifying that for me. I just recently started playing STO again after not having internet for over 2 years, so I'm not familiar with all of the bugs inherent in the game atm.
