    I Propose we all boycott STO for 1 day and 1 night, so when the Dev's DO manage to turn on those servers, the virtual regulus, tau dewa, Alpha Leonis sectors have nary a ship in site. Just silence. I Bet that'll put the sh*t up Cryptic :D Muahahahaha

    How would they notice the boycott when the servers are down? :o

    has anyone from cryptic even said anything about this down time.. ive been looking, and i see nothing.. do they even know? its been offline a while now, nothing on fb, nothing in the forums, nothing on the cover page..

    Same thing here...

    "Retrieving list of characters..." followed by "Connection to Login Server timed out..."

    Anyone know whats happening?

    Reading through the forums, we have deduced the following possible reasons why we cannot play:

    1) Hardware Failure
    2) Software Failure
    3) Failed Coding from latest patch
    4) Cryptic's inability to pay anybody with a GED $10 to monitor game servers through the weekend; therefore, they don't know it's happening
    5) Devs are preparing for the upcoming Roller Derby and took a hiatus from work
    6) The Tal Shiar, KDF Intelligence, Section 31, or the Obama Administration have uploaded a virus into the latest patch that is slowly eating our game files.
    7) The Borg assimilated the servers into the collective (actually PWE has already done this; can't be the reason).
    8) Because Scotty is not a quality control engineer at Cryptic

    Anything I missed community?

    i think cryptic finally realised it couldn't fix the servers, so they ran off with the money they made to a non extradition country.:eek:

    Well the login error changed from:

    Login failure: Connection to the login server timed out.

    to

    Login failure: The server is unavailable at this time.

    Cryptic progress?

    The trouble is if they did have a countdown for server crashes there would be a CONSTANT countdown...lol

    If this was once in a blue moon sort of thing I could understand that, but it happens way too much,

    it's bad workman ship the programmers let this game down a lot, but it could also be because of the management giving them unreasonable time frames to complete work. I know many fans would happily wait a long longer for content if it gave us a stable product off the get go.

    I have seriously considered paying for a life time subscription... but these continual issues are a major roadblock for me.

    I found a bug in Star Trek Online that is not listed anywhere, how do I report it?

    We love a good bug report with plenty of details and good reproduction steps that help us to track down the cause and get a fix in game as soon as possible. Please be aware that we only accept Bug Reports when submitted in-game. Let's go through the submission process...

    OK, the mental retardation required to come up with this rule is astounding. The launcher, the software...need I point out the game server, and whatever custom bug reporting server they have, all have to be working in order to report a bug.

    Perhaps they feel web applications aren't a mature enough technology. That would explain their lack of a grid status page.

    yeah the possibility that it was the KDF intelligence or Section 31

    Well, just for @#! and giggles. Can we say that the crashes are really unexpected anymore? This game has more downtime and patches then any other 3 MMOs on the market.

    How the hell does STO, CO, and Neverwinter get to live when such a fine game like CoH lies in ashes. I know, I know, different dev and management team. But still. It's not fair. All this really has me thinking of quitting Cryptic altogether and going back to Rift.

    Well I don't mind if its down.....I am going to go play a different game.

    Toss up between DC Universe and Borderlands 2....actualy I think ihave some free station cash to spend in DC. I was thinking about getting some zen....but go figure....doesn't look like that will happen tonight.

    Well guess I wont be getting the last part to my prototype remen set tonight. Rather then waisting more of my life reading the forums, im gonna play dc universe or need for speed world and HOPE this is running tomorrow. Dont know bout yall but its 11:06 pm here and I wanna game befor I go to bed.

    and we are now down longer than we were for the patch the undobulty caused this.

    You forgot to mention, you don't get a response to tickets in game...its through e-mail...go figure

    Just tried to get in myself for the first time today at 8pm pacific, June 13.

    I launch the game and get the "Connecting to login server" but after a minute I get a "The login server cannot be reached at this time" or something. :mad:

    ROFL, yeah. I can picture that in my head.
    Server crash in 3....2....1.....3.....2....1.....2....1.....1.....1.....1.....1.....1....1 (repeat to infinity)

    Oh, and you have 29 days and 23 hours and 58 minutes to reply to this before you get a warning from the mods for replying to old threads, so get it while it's hot!
