REGISTRATION

1.fleet/team leader opens team other post

2.You may register a fleet/team
3.You may play as FED, KDF, ROM, Mixed
4.You may have as many members as you like
5.You may join 1 team not more so no switching later
6.You may add more people to your team later on who are/were not in another team
7.You must list all members of your team ( @handle )
8.You must read rules carefully

Registration closes after 12, 16 or 20 teams are registered.

    PvP League starting most likely end of this month ( June )

    Looking for 5 more referees pls contact me ingame ( @pascalb1 ) or leave a mail
    How to open a challenge/confirm a match/add result

    - Match will be announced on the starting Friday
    - your responsibilty to get in touch with other team
    - you have time Thursday - Sunday upcoming week for getting match done ( 11 days )
    - upload result ( pic link ) [ imageshack example ]
    - I will add result here
    - done next match
    General Information

    - Soccer World Cup System
    - league system then ko system
    - win 3 point
    - loose 0 point
    - draw 1 point
    - match duration 60 min
    - winner determine after 60 min ( higher score )
    - if team doesn't show up 15 min ( 15:0 3 points )
    - score set at 15
    - inside league system 2 games against each team
    - 1 game only per round ( once you played against everyone in your group, same thing one more time )
    - winner of the group advances ( 1st )

    Team:

    - maximum 3 Captains of each type per team ( Eng, Sci, Tac )
    - maximum 3 ships of each type per team
    - maximum 4 hangar bays per team ( carrier, escort carrier, etc )
    - maximum 2 Romulan Captains per team
    - full Romulan team not allowed

    Ships:

    - maximum 1 Temporal ship per team ( sci, destroyer )
    - maximum 1 Vesta per team

    Abilities:

    - no Boarding Parties
    - maximum 1 copy of Warp Plasma per team
    - maximum 1 copy of Scramble Sensor per team
    - no Feedback Pulse 2 - 3 ( Tac )
    - no Directed Energy Modulation
    - no 2 - 3 Beam Overload chains on 1 person ( after another chain )
    - no EMP Burst ( Battle Module 3000 ) - just the ability
    - no Temporal Inversion Field ( Temporal Set ) - just the ability

    Weapons:

    - no Disruptors ( Tac )
    - maximum 3 ships with mines
    - no tric mines
    - no tractor beam mines
    - no nukara web mines
    - no breen transphasic cluster torpedo ( Tac )


    Consoles:

    - no Antimatter Spread
    - no Graviton Pulse
    - no Theta Radiation
    - no Plasmonic Leech
    - no Aceton Assimilator
    - no Isometric Charge

    Carrier Pets:

    People who are caught ( pic, video ) to disobey the rules will be punsihed. Also unfair sportsmanship will be punished. ( running the entire game, stay cloaked entire game, etc. ) Action will be player/team gets kicked from the league.

    is it allowed to open your ship's windows or turn on the aircondition if two of your crew TRIBBLE at the same time or is it considered some op hax because i dont use the tip of my nose to distribute my ships shields (which is another hax, shields ffs)?

    So I was reading the OP. Would it be simpler just to ban all ship consoles and insist everyone just use white equipment.

    I mean it seems like nearly everything is banned.

    Have you just banned everything our pugmade used to be beat your premade, and a few extras beside?

    Could you give us a whitelist of equipment, abilities and ships we are allowed to use? I think it'd be shorter than the list of verboten stuff.

    Yeah, it seems to me that the list of banned stuff isn't actually based on 'OP stuff' so much as 'things we don't like'.

    And sure, as the organizers of the league, you can totally just be completely arbitrary like that- but you can't expect to get any respect for that sort of decision making process.

    I mean the Nukara space set is quite literally the jem hadar space set, but shield power focused. There's more 'OP' stuff out there. Like the JHAS. But lolno, let's ban random **** instead.

    I for one will be ignoring this farce of a league.

    I would suggest you simply post your Teams setup... and the tell everyone they must run that exact same setup to be legal ... and then have fun.

    Those rules are pretty ridiculous. No disruptors? No DEM? No good timing on your attacks allowed either apparently with the no chained bo's. No FB Pulse 2 or 3...why, cause your team doesn't have enough hull heals or can't switch targets? Are tric mines actually OP? I could go on, but I don't see the point.

    Just seems like all the rules are to make a league where these Eryon have banned anything they don't like / anything people have used to beat them.

    I can understand the 3 Captains of each type per team, I can understand the maximum of 3 ships each type per team (I could even see you adding that you need one of each captain type per team). The hanger bay thing seems petty to me, as does the restrictions on Romulans. They're part of the game now, and either ban them all, or let them ride.
    Ships:

    - maximum 1 Temporal ship per team ( sci, destroyer )
    - maximum 1 Vesta per team

    This whole section seems like a waste. You handle the problem with temporal ships when you banned Inversion field. Vesta's are fine. Again, science ships are part of the game. Either ban them all, or let them ride.
    Abilities:

    - no Boarding Parties
    - maximum 1 copy of Warp Plasma per team
    - maximum 1 copy of Scramble Sensor per team
    - no Feedback Pulse 2 - 3 ( Tac )
    - no Directed Energy Modulation
    - no 2 - 3 Beam Overload chains on 1 person ( after another chain )
    - no EMP Burst ( Battle Module 3000 ) - just the ability
    - no Temporal Inversion Field ( Temporal Set ) - just the ability

    Limiting abilities is too hard to enforce and track. Allow warp plasma and scramble sensors, or ban them entirely. Truthfully, scramble sensors is fine without the doff, which you banned. Feedback pulse is fine to anyone who's paying attention with half a brain. Directed Energy Modulation is fine since you've already restricted the amount of cruisers. BO chaining is a valid tactic, and there are plenty of ways to work around it (and it has plenty of it's own drawbacks).
    Weapons:

    - no Disruptors ( Tac )
    - maximum 3 ships with mines
    - no tric mines
    - no tractor beam mines
    - no nukara web mines
    - no breen transphasic cluster torpedo ( Tac )

    No tric mines is the only thing of value on this list, and only because they borked the all-or-nothing crit fix. Disruptors have worked as they have for a long time, and were considered fine. Just because we learn something new about them doesn't make them "broken". And again, all or nothing with mines (and it should be all). Tractor mines, Web mines, and cluster torpedoes are fine for anyone expecting to face them. The only people who should want them banned are those who want all their weaknesses removed, so they can play to their strengths.
    Consoles:

    - no Antimatter Spread
    - no Graviton Pulse
    - no Theta Radiation
    - no Plasmonic Leech
    - no Aceton Assimilator
    - no Isometric Charge

    I agree with you on most of these simply because the reward vs skill is so high. I might disagree on the Leech, only because it's wide spread now. It also provides makes the critH stackers think about console slotting.
    Carrier Pets:

    Can see the merit in this.

    The only one of these that makes any shred of sense is the scramble doff. The others are fine, and taking them requires giving up other really powerful doffs. There's no point in restricting them anymore.

    This seems arbitrary.


    I like the concept, but there are too many of these rules that seem custom tailored to get rid of things you simply don't like to deal with. Some of them are valid limitations, while others seem to be very arbitrary.

    Any way you can chop this list down and refine it a bit?

    At the end of the day, if no one signs up, that would be more of an impact than people saying this is bad, that is bad.

    He is the organiser, his rules. Don't like them, don't participate.

    I stepped out as soon as the rules were published. No need to debate it here.

    I think most of these rules make sense, to be honest a lot of powers that people are asking why its out prob don't know that certain ones are very bugged or can be exploited..........
    Thats all ill say on that one.

    I think that its terrible that these many bugs are in the game and in pvp, I hope cryptic will fix them soon..

    Had high hopes but such an extensive list is madness. If it was all for just a one-off tournament then I can *kinda* see the sense, but for an entire league, that may stretch on into many weeks and months it's just not feasible. We as a fleet would like to have some fun, this is far too restrictive for us, I'm afraid.

    just played against eryon fleet, good to know they respect their own rules by using stuff like graviton pulse, plasmonic leech, disruptors on a tac etc

    so many reasons NOT to participate I flagged the big 3 for us as we are a Romulan Fleet (just aligned with the KDF)

    the biggest for us was the NO ROMULAN TEAM rule... I think he is afraid of a 5 man team of T'varo Retrofits or Fleet T'varo Warbirds... with the consoles.... hence his no romulan consoles rule and no disruptors please give me a break..... not something we at Trivium are interested in

    have fun with a league that will run a month tops due to lack or fleets involved looks like most of the more prominent PVP fleets are taking a pass on this one

    Why are Disruptors on Tac forbidden?

    Because they work as intended.

    Disruptor procs can scale with tactical buffs and dmg buffs in general.

    Banning them for working as intended... well its as silly as say banning Polarons or tetryons on Sci because they are boosted by rep powers ect. silly... or perhaps Polarons should be banned if you have a ship that can slot more then one Sci console.... Or plasma if you have Embasy consoles.... or Polarons and Jem sets.

    Most of these rules are there own personal wish list.
