Console SCIENCE Field Generator not working

I have the M.A.C.O. shield with 6085 max. shield capacity. When I equip the console it still shows the same value.

No change at all with or without Science Field Generator console.

    I have a similar problem. It worked just fine with my Dominion shields on my KDF cruiser. It stopped working when I put it in a unique ship the Dominion Dreadnought carrier. At first I thought it was the unique shield but it seems to be unique ships it doesn't like.
