NPC Uniforms

Just a thought, it would be great if there was a way I could make the random crew of my ship wear the same uniforms as my character and bridge crew. Any thoughts on this?

    It's been asked about...numerous times.

However, that's about all that's happened.

dang, it would be nice. Not a fan of the generic uniforms they have on those extras roaming my ship. I really think it would add to the feel of my ship and make me actually want to explore it more often. Maybe even be able to have some limited options for the bartender and such. Pipe dream, yes, but would be nice.

Really would like that too. I was just thinking uniforms would be quick and easy.

When I suggested this, I added an extra wrinkle.

What if, instead of generic random NPCs, it was your DUTY OFFICERS wandering around?

I mean, I have an Andorian captain, and have gone to great pains to ensure ALL of my DOs are Andorian. Despite this, when I visit the interior of my ship, there's all manner of other species wandering around.

WOW! Now THAT is dedication! Kudos to you!

i'd love this idea my crew/doffs are mostly very rare like the borg romulans gorn jemhadar or tholians PLZ cryptic do this an the uniform change for us.

From the first hour, Cryptic gave us the interior, users whished this.

But interior and atmosphere was never on the priority list of Cryptic.

Next to the random crewmembers with the wrong uniform, there are also more canon interior with more functional rooms on my wishlist. Did you visit the mess hall? Its really a hall. four decks high and especially too big for an escort. And what can you do in your mess hall? Nothing! No minigames at the card table, no functional replicator, no seats where you can sit with a single click. Nothing!

They already said it would be impossible to give all the duty officers an entire body... But i do like the idea dont get me wrong. But im guessing being able to select the uniform your crew uses should be possible? i hope? Although would it add enough to justify having a dev, or devs plural working on getting this done?

I have found out that with Rommies, you can sit on all the furniture, so one can only assume that this is a sign for the feds and KDF.

However I do agree with you, before fixing uniforms/species etc, they should really look to having more interaction on your ship. You get to invite other players onto your ship, but what for? so you can both stand there doing nothing?

Riker always held poker games, I would love it, if there was some sort of mini multiplayer poker game function, like Dabo, where you can invite other players onto your ship, go to your quarters, all sit at the table, and play a few hands of poker. that would be cooooooool! :D

yes, indeed. The room all feel far to big and empty, especially for an escort. Maybe more options for trophies too. Perhaps make the ship interiors more personal in general. All this would be great, but I would be happy with baby steps as a starter.

On my Fed and Klingon ships, I would agree.

However, on my Romulan ship, there is no 'Uniform of the Day', and none of my bridge crew wear uniforms, so....

The giant rooms and passageways are a limitation of the engine. If they make them smaller supposedly there are major camera clipping issues.

Thats no longer an argument. The Belfast interior is smaller and there is no problem.

Also, I think the Ferengi D'Kora has a functional dabo table inside it.

Ive always thought about this, i have all my bridge crew in the same uniform on my Fed and Rommie. However, for example when i beam down security escort on the rommie.. they look like a bunch of scruffs.. Maybe im just being fussy and a bit of OCD but the idea would be nice

This is an awesome idea! I would love to see this, I did the same thing with a couple of my characters as well and it would really cool to see your special Doffs in action.

I have noticed that many of my BOFFS are AWOL. They are not on the bridge and they are not in their work areas...
