ok, "Devil's Choice", episode , no way... NO WAY is ANYBODY able to do that mission and finish it alone!
And alot ALOT of episodes are hard to do!!!
I mean.... what? I know I know "here comes ANOTHER complainer".... but honestly... C'MON.
Has anyone tried this episode? I wasted two hours on it!
I think the STO team has screwed up BIGTIME, unfortunately with how difficult they've made the episodes, starting from "Last Stand" to "Devils Choice".
makes ya not want to bother with the romulan episodes anymore...
Done it several times on Tribble, done it again on Holo. Those episodes are rather easy and the last one? Well thats meant to be difficult and Devs don't you dare nerf it!!! These episodes are fantastic as they are and to Nerf them (As you have done to kindergarten level with everything else) would just ruin them completely.
Here's a tip for you (Apart from learn to play) just focus on the command ship. That's all you have to do, prepare to cloak and run when you take fire, rinse and repeat. Really, is that so hard now???

Well I'm back to agree with the lot that says this third round is near impossible (I say near because according to posts, some of you are able to summon some miracle and get through it). I completed in on tribble with no prob, maybe died a couple times but was able to complete at my level. However, the Holodeck version is crazy insane, so I checked the forum and people said they could do it you just have to try this and that. Ok, so I skipped it and went on. Now, I've capped out and have a Fleet T'lis or whatever it's called, loaded to the max and still cannot complete it solo. I've tried picking them off one by one and the rest of the ships find me. I've tried going after the command ship, and that is just a cluster f***. So, really, to all those who say it's fine and are able to complete it, shut up and let the rest of us complain to the people who care. Something needs to be done with it, because anyone new to the game is going to hit that level and be done. You play a game to have fun, not have you're a** handed to you. I've played STO for over a year now and never hit anything like this level so please stop saying it's fine and let them do something about it.
Thank you
The playerbase needs rebalancing. Seriously, this isn't pre-season 7 CE. Kill one ship and it's done.
I did it at level 37, in a Mogai, using dropped loot only. Followed the Klingon tradition of dying gloriously in battle.
In short, harden up.
Just because you don't mind the stupid tedium of dying a couple of dozen times doesn't make you any "harder" than anyone else. The way STO is designed anyone can eventually get through any solo mission, that doesn't make them fun or well designed.
Done it twice. Once on-level with common gear on normal difficulty, once at 47 with common mk ix gear on elite. Didn't even die, save for a couple of times on the Elite run that were completely my fault (cloaking with torpedoes on my tail, mostly).
It is only a difficult mission if you play stupidly. That means using default weapon setups, rainbow boats, beams and cannons together, crappy Boff setups, sitting still, etc.
I did this mission solo but I was in there a very long time, used a D'D with beam arrays and just kited enemies taking them on one by one, two max at a time.
I died once near the start of big wave when VM shut down my engines and like 5 aoe doom blasts hit me at once, it took so long though that I didn't even trigger the win, I think it was the constantly repairing NPCs eventually did enough damage to a command ship to kill it, the one I was fighting eventually warped off before I killed it.
It looks like the smaller enemies respawn in this mission that should go away as it makes it hard to focus on downing the big dreadnoughts or add 6 more named self repairing ships.

I haven't tried it yet however I've been told in Zone chat that this was going on. People were skipping it entirely and just doing other things because that's how bad it is.

All his post is saying is "Look at me, see how uber I am".
You see it anytime something in a game is too difficult and needs a balancing pass.
