Purple Romulan species Maintenance Engineer named T'lag
Emote called 'fatigue' (re-purposing the falling unconscious animation to make it easy on you)
Title "On Standby"
Note that is intended to be serious and humorous. Its been more than a week on daily outages (multiple times on many), no in-game bug fixes and the end is not in sight. Many of us are frustrated. This release was looked at by many players as bringing a new spark into STO but I can already see many leaving, including those that were just joining because of this release. I'm proposing the rewards as reasonable and suitable ideas for Cryptic if the decide to honor the players for riding through this after things are normalized.
I'm basing the ideas for the rewards off of the Emote: "Shaka, When The Walls Fell" and
Tamarian Com-Badge given to players due to Season 1 outages.

I am assuming this thread is intended to be humorous, so I will act in kind.
Such a duty officer would need to have the character traits: Cunning, Unruly, Stubborn, Resolve, and Resilient
I think a new character title, "Crash Tested Holodeck", would be nice.
After discovering a new Borg Nano-Virus capable of bringing down most ship computer cores, the Starfleet Core of Engineers has rush deployed these subroutine patches to the fleet to prevent further main computer failures.
+15 to Repair Subsystem (Passive)
Upon activation this patch restores off line subsystems (2 min cd)
Rare Duty Officer:
Cryptor
Damage Control Engineer
Subsystems are restored 20% more quickly.
"I am aware of the issue and am working to bring the system back online as soon as possible"
There will be no outage rewards this kinda thing happens all the time in an MMO you all should know that by now omg the sense of entitlement around here is Ubsurd outage reward foe a F2p game ? really? you are dismissed!! all of you !!

Of the years I've played both WoW and Eve online, neither had these long term issues with server stability or lack of communication other than 'we're working on it'
Seriously, the communication is bothering me.
Week(s) of no explanations, no bug fixes what so ever. A server that won't stay stable during prime times every single day.

Actually.
Back in MY day, when an MMO was offline for days at a time, paying subscribers got their accounts credited. Back then it was additional days added to your subscription, free of charge.
Of course, now that there's customers like this that are happy to bend over and take it, game companies don't care about customer service anymore.

This is a gag thread, not a "I'm Entitled "thread. Read before you post. You might actually come off as intelligent.:P

Oh. I see you not only lost game time, but also your sense of humor.
Maybe go back and reread most of the posts here and see the humor instead of the perceived "entitlement"?
Won't get even that, they clearly don't care and see players as disposable items.
Oh, forumites like you are PRECIOUS. Obviously, if a game doesn't implement everything you want the minute you want it, they obviously don't care about their players. Despite the fact that that would work counter-intuitive to running a MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER online game.

Right. None of the recent patches have patched a thing. What world, exactly, do you live on? I'm genuinely curious. It must be a strange place, if fixes don't fix anything. Seriously, though, just because they haven't gotten the bugs you want them to yet doesn't mean they're not working on it. As for explanations, well, I've never played Eve, but during my entire time playing WoW, I never saw anything from Blizzard about outages OTHER than "We're working on it".
Nobody pays anything to play, so they don't owe anyone anything.
Even subscriptions are quid pro quos for a set of in-game benefits.
Ah... But you fail to see the point. First off, I "paid" for a Lifetime Subscription, but that's not the point either. The point is that I "Spend REAL Money" (in the form of Zen). Which IF I'm not playing STO because its such a buggy-arsed piece of TRIBBLE game that I don't want to keep trying to play - I WILL NOT SPEND. (A fact that would most likely be very good for me and very BAD for Cryptic / Perfect World...)
So in fact they better get their act together and fix some of this stuff. AND they probably ought to consider doing something to assuage our irritation. Because that promotes the "Good Will" of their "Customers". And they do still rely on their "customers" to pay the bills.
... Not all of us are trying to leverage this game as a completely 'Free' form of entertainment.
Been playing this game long enough to know that's not the case (that's only the case with that living corpse that is Champions Online :P). But no, by all means, continue crying in a corner about it.
I'll just feed off your tearful sorrow and grow ever stronger. I'm like a despair vampire, or a sadness leech.
Skill summary : When used this skill will send your ship into an hour and a half downtime mode once used this will repeat itself automatically everyday opr every other day depending on how much you use your ships.
If this skill is used more then once your ships server will crash which will add 2 hours of additional downtime to the already hour and a half.
Yes, a reward for our loyalty during those "hard times", plus for those that have done the beta testing on tribble server for more then one hour : where is the reward as promissed and make sure it isn't once more an useless object, as so many times before but a valuabe, useful item.
OK, if I have to stay here for a while, your cieling ... looks idious.:D
Ya know, this started out as a good humored thread, and then the "Entitled" ones showed up with tears in their eyes, and a chocolate pudding hammock in their diapers, and derailed this joke thread with their sniveling and crying. Derailing this thread, and of course, MAKING IT ABOUT THEMSELVES. Seriously, start your own thread about the great, and wonderful YOU, so I can visit your majesty's royal thread, and set fire to it.
They owe people nothing and simply suggesting it should result in being pimpslapped.
Why not ???
A. It's not that someone is a f2p'r that this person doesn't invest in his playing time, either by hours in the game, or by transfering cash to obtain zen on a monthly base. I know a bunch that are playing this game like this. Not a sub but still pumping cash to get what they want.
B. A whole bunch in here are life time subs, Gold or Silver members. For those that have paid a substantial amount for their entertainment, a token of appreciation that they have stick around would shimmer the broken glory of this game.
C. Every company, whether it's online or offline, from the moment they ask money for certain services is demanded to deliver those services, or to refund, rembours or compensate if they can't deliver those services. These are the words of the Federal Trade Commision, and those guys don't give a daim about the EULA.

It is a peculiar phenomenon that we can imagine events that defy the laws of the universe.
Special ability to override server instabilities with a special purple engineering Doff assignment.(Takes 7 days for assignment to clear)
A T-5 Miranda, that doesn't run on a warpcore, only forum tears, as a reward pack.
Free to play, not free of costs.
So you still need those subs and people who pay money, like happy customers.
20% chance to keep network servers up 50% of the time
With business practices like this, they about have to be. Do you think if they were pay to
play, they could operate like this and stay in business?!?
