its not just feds it looks like i cant even TRAIN my rom character as it says invalid respect needed where the train button should be and its the same for my bridge officers as well.
You are not the only one...I am a level 50 Fed, and I get the same error when I try to respec my captain (vice admiral). File a bug report, if you haven't already...I'll be doing the same!
I am a Libterated Borg Romulan doing it when it happened to me, literally though had 0 problems till in the Flotilla I decided to click on the respec terminal (not sure what it was at first had the whole Oh! Shiny! moment) and when I did some error came up and since then haven't been able to respec or put not skills or anything related to both skills, either character or BO.
Same here. Bought a respec token at the zen store last night, not seeing any option to use it on my skills screen at all. Lvl 50 Fed tac officer. Should I file a support claim or have enough people experienced this that they are working on fixing it??
I'm having the same issue with my lvl 50 fed captain. I submitted bug report and also did a forum post here to no avail. This is still bugged as of 8:53 Pacific time. Really driving me crazy as I want to switch from a very specific Sci torp boat skill spec to my Fleet patrol Escort and I'm basically useless as an escort captain until this is fixed...
One month ago, I could not respect my Fed character.
some error message.
For me, the solution was to clear all skill points and restart from zero.
Be very careful how skills points are assigned.
Eventually, after 4-5 attempts (starting from zero), I was able to re-spec.
Try putting only the minimum number of skill points in each column.
After all columns are filled with minimum points, go back and add any remaining points.

Edit : My captain is human.
Same here, I only see three trait options left right now to pick from, two ground and one space.
Do they even care? It's a Zen store item for 500 Zen and it's not working.
Seriously, Cryptic...
