    It's alive, and I'm downloading the 10 GB patch now...apparently, even though I Pre-patched AND played Tribble...

    Still showing the server as red here, then again I am at 98.2% patched and I refuse to close it out till its finished.

    I already downloaded the patch, but when I closed and re-opened the launcher, now it's Patching.

    98.2% done and sluggish, but moving.

    Im in and able to play. But as a current subscriber it will not allow me to make a new character.

    If there was a free slot its not active for me at this moment at least. I have 2 fed 1 klingon.

    Thought i might get a jump on others :P

    My patching finished then it went clear and its at 5.4% and frozen and the received is slowly going up but thankfully this next patch is just 184 MB

    I've been sitting at 99.3% for the last hour. It's downling extremely slow, but the numbers are going, the KB number anyway, no near a MB. It's just.. very very slow for some reason, like it got throttled back on their end.

    My launcher displays the same, but it's not downloading anything yet, but it's doing... something :confused: with the files already downloaded with the prepatch and tribble

    I've created my character, though launching to the next page isn't happening. not surprisingly, the server isn't responding. Stuck at 41.61%. :rolleyes:

    ten minutes waiting for the normal launcher patch.. If THIS doesnt communicate to cryptic that they need more servers, nothing will..

    You still need to patch the whole client...you just don't need to download the entire patch this morning if you pre-patched. There is still a small patch that needs to be downloaded, but if you pre-patched most of the 10GB file is already downloaded and just needs to be installed. My update with the pre-patch took less than 15 minutes to complete.

    Once you get through the patch, be prepared for other issues such as game crashes. I'll be back in a week or so when everyone isn't trying to get on at once and things are patched further. :)

    Game is kinda-sorta unstable...

    I've been bounced out more than several times at this point.

    But I've been able to get right back in most times.

    No ques at this point, interesting.

    patch server died shortly after restart but it looks like they were just in the middle of redirecting to a different host site, seems pretty stable now

    stable? Don't make me laugh.... been sitting here for hours now, when there's only about 6 gig to patch.... with my DL speed it should be no more than half an hour or so... this is ridiculous...

    I logged in, no problems, as soon as this thread started. Was able to create a new character and play until the shard went down. Rubber banding was persistent the whole time but things didn't get really bad until about an hour before maintenance. It got to the point where missions were having a hard time resolving, skill points would not take, and whenever you tried to move something in your inventory, it took over a minute per item.

    Overall, I'm pretty impressed. So far the story is interesting and everything looks really good. I had just unlocked the tier 2 warbird when the 15 minute warning came across my screen, so I'm looking forward to taking it for a spin.

    Game bounced me out again...

    Not getting back in as easily as earlier.

    ... and again...

    This is different, it's crashing the game to desktop this time, earlier it just dropped me to the log-in screen.
