    Torrents.

    Making updates faster and cheaper.

    Far too sensible for this company to do, unlike so many others.

    I heard they would rather pay Amazon for CDN bandwidth than let us do it for free.

    Been hovering at 90% for over a hour, these DL speeds are just horrid. 15mb is what I avg on steam. STO is running at 100k a sec bleh

    Yup, very slow download.

    Received: 65.4 MB - 95%

    It's ticking up by .1 MB every 5 seconds or so.

    I have been patching for 2 1/2 hours and still only at 29% :(

    I've been done for hours, I'd call my ISP if i were you guys.

    Well then it would be only cryptic , all the rest still downloads at 10mb/sec.

    i'm up to 800mb patched out of 6000 in about 4 minutes then slowed hugely maybe an hour or two

    Thanks for the replies guys. Unfortunately I'm not that lucky...been downloading an hour and done about 1GB and it shows no signs of stopping...I guess the pre-patch didn't download properly or something :confused:

    Was at 256mb received /99% when all of a sudden the #'s started rolling so fast but in the wrong direction When a micro singularity opened Looked like a small blackhole in the center of my monitor.When the patcher reached zero it began sucking window 7 off my drive.I franticaly began pressing Esc and Cnt Alt Del but nothing would stop this reversal of data.

    The next thing was my wireless mouse got sucked in and things on my desk began moving towards the screen so i quickly clossed my laptop and it sucked itself into the singularity.

    Now im going to have to start all over OMG.

    After 3 hours of downloading it crashed, starting it again if it take many more hours or crashes again I'm not even going try again for a week. Pathetic STO just pathetic this many people should not be having trouble, improve your services or lose customers. :mad:

    I both played Tribble, and pre-patched, and I still have 10GB to download... what the hell!?

    Patch frozen for 2 hrs at 97.8%

    I do feel sorry for those that dont have unlimited internet and cryptic messing them about.

    My patch hasn't moved by one KB since Legacy of Romulus launched.

    I assume the expected meltdown is melting.

    well the forums just became very slow ,my download picked up a bit speed but still not fast enough to my liking

    I agree there servers suck, ive just downloaded my second movie which im off to watch im glad im not one them saps that pays for a subscription for... downtime! lmao

    My guess everyone is doing it at the same time to bad you can't dl it a manual patch.

    4 hours plus its been trying to download the last 20 megs. Should have been done in 20 secs. Getting tired of looking at the launcher lol

    But there's nothing borderline about it....how can a company not anticipate the need for more server capacity for a launch of this magnitude and then do something about it...maybe some of the money I dropped on the legacy pack could have gone to help out a bit :rolleyes:
