  Terminate them with extreme prejudice. Heal the Geklis. Hull repair TRIBBLE does the trick.

  They won't move if you are more than a certain distance from them. This helps as you can go ahead and kill the Hirogen before they attack.
  
  However for the patroll I just repeat one of the missions, the Carrera system one, until the 100% is done and the other places I go just to get the radiation scans. I find that works easier for me,
