  I think some of your ships can't be included cause they are from different "games" which now thinking about it, I've looked at the Ha'apax whateverit'scalled warbird and swear I've seen that design in a different Star Trek game before.....

  The Fed ship is the New Orleans Class. That is another ship I would love to see in the game. And its considered a Frigate by most. So I can see it being a sweet escort or destroyer based ship.

  Why not go for the ship design that was originally proposed for Star Trek: Planet of the Titans? If it helps, it appeared quite a few times around in canon too, including a battle at DS9.

  I hope those proposed Study models don't necessarily count as Constitutions, and can be made. I'd have absolutely no issue opening up a couple of ship slots for some of these myself. From what I read, since they both appeared in the series, they can be considered canon too!

  These ships are not likely, as they're from other games. Cryptic has said in the past that there are licensing issues that present what are an essentially insurmountable hurdle preventing them from using anything that hasn't appeared on-screen (in the five series and the non-JJ movies), in the comics (a little hit and miss, but there's precedent), or in the novels (again, a little hit-or-miss, but more likely).
  
  Some of the other stuff in this thread is interesting, but it's pretty obvious why some of those models got largely left on the cutting room floor.

  Nah it's not Klingon Academy. I doubt it'll be good, they'll probably just make it a variant of a cruiser.

  That image IS a photoshop. It was made for one of the expansion sets for the 1st edition of Decipher's Star Trek CCG.

  (Fairly lousy card BTW, only useful with it's matching Captain and Captain's Log in play. The generic Nebula class is better).
  
  The class name only comes from the Encyclopedia, so it is somewhere between 1st and 2nd level canon. In the show it was called a light cruiser.

  My Romulan Liberated Borg character made it to Level 30 and beat the (old) Defense of New Romulus with the skill point bug.

  Whoa, what's with the yelling? To be honest, it isn't as the non-canon Patrol Escorts are winning any beauty contests themselves in my eyes, and they seem to be in the game just fine, and have quite a few players using them. Besides, it isn't as if they'll force you to be in one. There is also a lot of folks who'd Love the Jupiter class to be playable too (count me in, I want my warp blimp, though that's for a different thread of course), just as there are people who'd rather see it vanish from the game. It's like Marmite, you either like it or you don't.
  
  You have to admit, some of those Excelsior study models were really nice, and may work nicely, granted, they may have to think up for names for them too.
