Whos going to buy the D'Deridex anyway?

If its either good or bad.

if its bad im using my free VA ship token to buy it anyway.

Its a great looking ship and the most famous romulan ship in Star Trek and I have been waiting a long time to be able to get it.

So, who's going to get it anyway whether its good or bad?

    Technically, i've already bought it three times - it's a free level-up ship, and the Legacy pack includes the Refit and the Retrofit.

    Plus since it's the only free ship you get at T4...yeah. Everyone will get it at some point.

    Free VA Ship Token is a Veteran Reward. Lifers/Gold Members can get it, depending on how long they are subscribed (Gold Members).

    If you just want it for the look, get it at T4 and admire it around your starbase. Don't waste resources on it's end-game version unless you actually plan to fly it.

    I am getting the refit, retrofit, and fleet ship as long as the retro and fleet D'D get the new boff layout that a dev posted earlier today, Lt Cmdr Tac, Ens tac Cmdr Eng, Lt Cmdr Sci, Ens Universal.

    Edit- was supposed to be ens tac not eng

    I will get one version at T5 to use. And yes I do plan to fly and use it. That is one reason why I'm doing a Romulan. Other than to play one as a character.

    Regardless how they set it up. I will make use out of it. As it will be my main ship.

    Is the D'Deridex a engineering or tactical ship?

    from what I gather if you are a 600 day vet you get a free VA ship, and a lifetime gets another free ship, which means you can have on each toon two of those ships if your a lifer. On top of that there is the eventual 1000 day vet Romulan ship they promised so quite a few potential ships for vets and lifers to try and test.

    I for one plan once I get by tokens go to the Romulans on the Test Server and test them out before I spend each token.

    If the updated layout really is going live, then, SOLD! Mind you, I probably would have flown it anyway, at least the free version, to see what it was like. What sort of Romulan wouldn't want to fly a D'Deridix?

    Aren't they ALL retrofit? I mean everyone of them is from what I saw none of them minus the free T5 ISN'T one. Mogai T'varo D'deridex all say retrofit on them.

    I bring you also to here, specfically this section

    "Vice Admiral Ship Token: Lifetime subscribers are instantly granted 1,000-day veteran status, so they will also receive the single veteran ship token per character that allows the player to purchase a character unlock Vice Admiral or Rear Admiral Romulan Retrofit ship for free. This token is only good for Romulan ships when received on a Romulan Republic character, and the ship will be character locked to the character that selected it."

    Doesn't say one specific ship, says any VA or RA ship... which is all of them... now this could just be reiterating the 600 day reward cause lifers are instant 1,000 day reward people but it does bring back the fact that every ship is a retrofit.

    Now the 1,000 day reward THAT is a specific ship we don't get to pick, but no word on it.

    I already bought it in the bundle. Rather I fly it or not will be contingent upon rather it is capable or not.

    Heck, I have a friend who said he'll come back to sto for the sole reason of being able to fly it, so, yeah, i'd say some will fly it regardless, and i know ill at least play the free one you'll get at tier-4.

    The RCS consoles will be providing a bigger boost for slow turning ships than nimble ones after the update, so we'll see how big a difference it makes. At least they have Battle Cloak so you get yourself lined up for you next blitz in secret. :D

    I'm going to buy it, and the fleet version. Will also get the other DD styled one, can't remember it's name off hand. Got the starter pack so will have the T'Varo already, so will use the VA token to get a Mogai retrofit :). Then only going to need one fleet module to get my fleet DD.

    I know it's not an amazing set up, but I love the DD and it's the only cruiser I want to fly for Romulans to be honest. Can't wait :).

    I'm sooo gonna get it. Whenever you watch an episode of TNG, and a D'deridex de-cloaked next to the Enterprise, you always had a sense that the Enterprise crew just shat their pants with dread and woe.....
