Sure, how much are you going to pay for that? Patrick Stewart wouldn't do it for free, he's no Trekkie, he only took the role because everybody told him that TNG would be done after the first season.
FKA K-Tar, grumpy Klingon/El-Aurian hybrid. Now assimilated by PWE.
Sometimes, if you want to bury the hatchet with a Klingon, it has to be in his skull. - Captain K'Tar of the USS Danu about J'mpok.

well maybe they could pay it for it with the son'a ships in a lock box, along with son'a and Baku boffs and doffs?

another mercenary actor like shatner is stewart, both of them dont really care too much about events like trek anyway, they just attend conventions and such because they get alot of money out of it.
Picard on the Ba'ku homeworld? its a possibility but knowing the character that is Picard, he would of retired back on earth and died in France probably to be close to Marie, the widower of Jean-Luc's brother and nephew. He may of even took over from Robert for a while and probably died in France after the role to Vulcan.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
Well you do have a point but, the romance between him and that baku lady may have made him think of maybe bringing the family farm to the baku home world maybe ?
This would also be excuse for him to still be alive.

I think the family farm was infested with Cave Johnson's lemons... aka... it caught on fire.

I agree he would never abandon his sister-in-law, such indeed is his character. But I consider it a strong possibility that Picard would live among the Ba'ku, and might provide for Marie in some other way.
-- Generations established that he has a deep-seated longing to pass on the family name, made more powerful by the loss of his nephew. I've always interpreted some of his interactions with Shinzon in Nemesis as a wondering if he had found a blood heir that he could groom to satisfy that longing.
-- Although space was clearly his first love, Family and All Good Things demonstrated that he considered living off the land as his "road not traveled", probably his second love. The Ba'ku's lifestyle is a great fit to that. (not to mention their art culture) With the ancestral farmhouse destroyed, and the loss of his brother and nephew, returning to the property to stay may be too painful for him. Likely, he'd get others to farm it, though in counterpoint All Good Things did show a possible future where he does return to the vinyards.
-- The regenerative properties of the Ba'ku homeworld would likely extend his life, too, eventually allowing him a chance to finally have the children he longed for, either with a Ba'ku, or someone he meets later.
I don't think he'd stay all the time on the Ba'ku world. Likely, he'd make offworld visits, serve as an occasional advisor ambassador, archeological dig supervisor, etc.
Will Wheaton has been in a lot of episodes of Big Bang Theory, and he's been around quite a bit in gaming actually as well. I am following him on twitter, he's doing a lot of different things, but he would want cash to do anything in STO, I'm pretty sure of that. He's just as much a mercenary actor as Shatner and Stewart are, but he seems to do a lot of the comedy stuff, which is cool. He's pretty hilarious.
I am also of the opinion that Picard would more than likely be in France, or still in an ambassador role for Star Fleet. I'm unsure of what the character is doing at this moment in the timeline, but I would have to agree that he would at least be retired living in France right now, living a much simpler life. I mean, his life was hectic enough, if I were him, I'd be retired; living quietly.

Why would his family estate be destroyed ? His brother and nephew died in some kind of "car" accident (or glider, anti-grav whatever thingy). Unless they crashed the "car" into the Estate....
And Picard pretty much did forget about his sister-in-law..... he did one more movie and then went to Vulcan.....
As for any romance.... maybe good old Vash may show up again... on the other hand she is probably too old to breed now..... he needs someone else....
The fourth-season episode "Family" reveals that Picard has a brother, Robert, who took charge of the family vineyards in La Barre after Picard joined Starfleet. Robert and his wife have a young son, Rene, who is Picard's nephew. During the film Star Trek Generations, Picard learns that Robert and Rene have both died in a fire. The fate of Robert's wife, Marie, is not revealed.

Will has been known to do stuff for free, he made a cameo or two in a Canadian sketch comedy groups videos (called loadingreadyrun) who I doubt have the money to pay him so he might well be up for a STO cameo.

actually what they told him is it would last less than 3 seasons. nobody would even bother spending the money to throw together a series if it was only expected to go for 1 season

no, they 'burned to death in a fire' according to generations
He once caught a rerun of Red Dwarf and "was on the phone with his lawyer about it," ( His own words, apparently being a Sci Fi show in the same universe as Next Gen is a ligatable offense even if the show aired before Next Gen) "when he suddenly decided he liked it." ( His lawyer had probably stopped laughing and told him what a stodgy old fool he was.)
With this kind of behavior, it would be easier for Cryptic to make a deal with the Devil to do VO work than Patrick Stewart, who would probably decide to sue STO for using his voice after he completed the VO work for them.

I apologize, I don't have the film in front of me for complete confirmation (and online vid clips seem surprisingly lacking regarding this moment from the film) but Picard declared to Troi that the fire was at the family home. Memory-alpha.org seems to confirm this with statements on the pages for Rene, Robert, and Marie.

I take back my insinuation, and apologize for what I posted. I had no idea that was his work ethic. He comes off as a rather good guy to me then.

You're forgiven. You're just a Wesley hater, which, of course, carries over to Wil.
(I'm a Wesley hater, too. First Eureka, now Big Bang Theory, what is he going to ruin next) :P

Barclays episodes were the good ones :P His character had a better story than that of the TNG crew combined.... ateast imo.

Best way to find out? Kickstarter
(McCoy was 137 when he appeared in TNG, so it's not unrealistic, I'm just pointing out that Picard would be turning in to a fossil...)
Sisko, however...
Dude we want his voice, not his body....he could just be a talking head for all I care...the man is a great speaker.
His climbing up engineering to fight Borg Queens are long behind him.

Barclay's daughter appears in one of the Foundry missions.
If he lived with the Ba'ku, his age would be irrelevant. And his hair would have probably grown back.
