Since it is past midnight at Cryptic Studios there may not be many staff working so this problem may not be noticed or addressed until the morning which could be at least 7-9 hours depending on when they begin work on a Saturday.
2 computers were playing on the STO, and at exactly the same moment, it crashed. Presisly the same moment. Internet is fine, and this only was fixed 36 hours (or so) ago.
My bet is on Neverwinter again.
My fault - I killed the last Orc and the server divided by zero.
"Participation in PVP-related activities is so low on an hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly basis that we could in fact just completely take it out of STO and it would not impact the overall number of people [who] log in to the game and play in any significant way." -Gozer, Cryptic PvP Dev
Ok, they warned us to not try to create remans on tribble, otherwise the world would come to an end!
Who did????
Beta, LTA, CE, Multiple preorder Versions, all Addon Packs except AoY, nearly all KDF/Rom and ~50% of all Fedships, over 25 LockboxShips, Endurer of Atari's "Year of Hell", but...
What is up with the support pages? I have been trying to get on the website support pages to try and find out why I have not received my monthly zen. Each time I try to open anything beyond the first support page..it jus does not reapond. Anyone have any other suggestions?
Question: why do most people here like the cryptic employee "Branflakes". So far all I hear from him is how tirelessly everyone is working and how they steadily improving the game, but for me the game gets worse and worse every month> I give a rats TRIBBLE if my graphic is better since I can't enjoy my graphic when I get disconnected. The guy is just a used car salesman telling us how beautiful everything is.
At what point does PR become propaganda?

We have found it:General Server Stability. We are strong now...
They should know by now that their server has severe problems. Lag, disconnects, outges happen again and again and yet they do nothing to prevent this. I don't understand it...
I have a lifetime sub to Star Trek Online and Champions Online. I paid quite a bit for them, and I just don't feel like I'm getting my moneys worth. I'm sure they'll fix it soon enough, but my free time is at a premium and it just bums me out when the servers are down and I just want to game for a few hours and can't. Hopefully sometime this weekend these guys will get it fixed. I don't see why when one game takes a TRIBBLE the rest have to as well.
No way ! They use the sames servers for all their games?
LOL No wonder they are having probs !
Oh ! I see thye use the same log in server.. OK
that is still lame.

Agreed. A TRIBBLE is still a TRIBBLE, no matter how much you polish it. And right now, STO is a TRIBBLE that has been highly polished. What they need to do is put this and Neverwinter on separate servers and add into STO Sector Control Persistent PvP. Then, then we might be able to talk seriously about how pretty the game is.
Hardware issues can be caused by overtaxing servers by adding another game on already over taxed servers. Could be unrelated I suppose, but i doubt it. Launch NW beta and we start getting lag issues that same day, 2 days later the servers fail, then another failure the next day, you can take your own guess as to the cause.
Go back through the patch notes before NW OB came online and see how many weeks of server maint we went through with crashes then blame it on NW ...
or sit there and just blame it on that and be ignorant..

Still no official thread about it ?

Sounds good, hand me some of that tequila. It's better than sitting around wondering whether the blasted servers are gonna come back up anytime soon.
Be patient and stop complaining!
Hell figured I'd give you a hand!
Two Pakleds walk into a bar ... the first one says "We look for things to make us drunk." The second one says, "We need drinky things."
The bartender says, "What can I get you?" The Pakleds just look confused and then both say, "We want what we want."

Don't believe the lies in this forum. I am NOT an ARC user. I play STO on Steam or not at all.

So, in other words, the problem that took all their games out for five hours just yesterday wasn't actually fixed.
Some band aid patch was slapped on and everyone went home for tea and crumpets.
Then, today, nothing was properly fixed either.
LoR is 17 days away.
Is there any chance that Cryptic are actually going to attend to this issue or can we assume that May 21st is going to be mega-crash day?
