Hardware issues ... stop blaming NW for hardware issues.

Hardware issues can be caused by overtaxing servers by adding another game on already over taxed servers. Could be unrelated I suppose, but i doubt it. Launch NW beta and we start getting lag issues that same day, 2 days later the servers fail, then another failure the next day, you can take your own guess as to the cause.

neverwinter needs to die, the whole series is for a bunch of people that wear funny outfits to fairs and hasn't seen the sunlight in years.

    oh good grief.

Come on cryptic, get a grip on this.

Its becoming increasingly hard to shake the perception that you're just being cheap on servers or connections.

With LoR coming up fast, and the huge demand that is inevitable on launch day, if something radical isn't done soon you're going to burn through an awful lot of goodwill.

And what does it say for future sales in NW if you earn a reputation for simply not caring enough if people can log on in a reliable manner?

And lets not forget, all of this is happening right before the roll out of a big expansion that is going to increase the load on the servers. The Romulan release is going to be a disaster.

This really is pathetic. I mean seriously...I beginning to think that Cryptic are completely incompetent.

It took you that long? :D

I played Sim City for 24 years and didn't buy the new one because of the server nonsense, this is one of the few MMO's I still play because it was one of the few stable ones, I'm starting to see that online gaming is just too complex for corporate America to handle.

Not too complex, merely too expensive to utilize requisite infrastructure and still keep those nice exec bonuses and packages.

Prove to me that it wasn't NW that caused it. They: 1. Need better hardware and 2. They need to stop thinking they can run everything on a single server.

Remember when STO launched? It took out CO and a few other games for hours on end. NW beta launches and the same thing happens. So, in a way NW is as responsible as the fact that they need a better host system because it obviously cannot handle the load.

Down again. Perhaps the supposed hardware failure from last night and its fix was not permanent.

it's probably the same system wide issue that happened the other day and will not get resolved for another 10-12 hours like last time.

Look, Cryptic, it's really fairly simple; if you have a setup that doesn't work because the way you have it set up makes it break, setting it up the same way again will somehow magically produce free cup cakes! No wait, that's wrong, it makes it CRASH AGAIN! -.- Now, kindly stop banging your heads against a brick wall (and our along with them) and invest in another server, you can easily afford it! We're just trying to have fun, stop making it crash, pakled, make it go!
