Game defaulting to my small craft and unable to fix?

When I mouseover something like a shield or engine in zone chat, the stats displayed are for a small craft, even though my starship is my active ship. Also, when opening the status window with U, my small craft is selected by default. This also shows in the DOff panel, for example if any officers are in sickbay. The name of the ship on the sickbay tab is my small craft! Grr.

Going to a ship select NPC, switching from my starship to my small craft, and back again does not fix this, nor does re-logging.

What's going on?

Thanks.

Basically this is a known bug that is so low on the list of things needing fixed it may never actually get done. Seemingly its based on the alphabetical order of your ships

The only 'fix' i know of is to make sure the starting letter of your shuttle comes after the starting letter of your main ship. Other than that there's nothing else you can do about it

Thanks. Renamed my small craft to a name starting with a Z. That's not something we should have to do.

I have one toon with shuttles named Xenu & Zeta, that may now be carried through everyone.
I was once DKnight1000, apparently I had taken my own name so now I'm DKnight0001.
If I ask you a question it is not an insult but a genuine attempt to understand why.
When I insult you I won't be discreet about it, I will be precise and to the point stupid.

Yeah its a pain the a$$. Although I dismissed all my small craft since I really dont need them for anything and can pick them back up if a future mission calls for it.

I remember very clearly after S7 release when this started. Since then, I've seen the foundries revamped countless time to take away "advantages" and farming (Whilst just making the game even MORE grind like), oodles of new ships, and other patches that are always disappointing. Like ^ reply-poster ^ said: LOW PRIORITY, which means maybe never. I personally find this appalling. It wasn't broke to begin with, they broke it somehow, then ignore it. This is ONE reason why I dread "exciting new content!" Not only does it unleash new bugged places/things, but adds all new problems to currently functioning mechanisms.

The only time 'bugs' get fixed is when it involves a new purchasable item or the forums are flooded with complaints. (Like when you could not equip BoFFs to station.) Problems is; Newer players won't even notice this bug (Whereas NO ONE can not see you can't equip a BoFF should they try.). So... essentially newer player are learning to play the game WRONG, thinking these nifty [turn] engines on the exchange make their Heavy Escort turn 44.5 better (!). And OFC like ^ reply-poster ^, the older advanced players know something isn't right and figure out how to get around it.

Devs: I implore thee - IMPROVE GAMEPLAY - via fixing broke things (crew resistance/this bug/easier to use exchange searching/etc.) and lay off the "exciting new content!" for just a tad will you? I understand 'new stuff' = 'more $', but how many paying players refuse to buy more Z because the game is so darn frustrating and constantly more complicated? Aren't loyal players as good or better than the 4 month temps who get bored after the new ships thing gets old.

You might say the popular demand is for this new stuff and it allows no "time" to worry about minor details. Well... think of the child who hears loud and clear when Mom softly says "Wanna go to the park?", but is suddenly deaf when she says "Clean your room!" loudly. Devs: Clean your room please before you goto the park. Likewise the ones who noticed flawed mechanics are much fewer in number as it takes an advanced understanding of the game and many many hours of playing to even comprehend it. But Level 13 newbie is thinking (I can't wait to fly _____ ship!) so OFC you hear that more often.

"Just" not knowing your correct shield stats may seem like nothing, but it's the kind of thing that will ruin the game eventually. Not alone but when stacked with other ignored issues. New ships and stuff only will take you so far, then what?

So realistically, you only need to have the exact number of doffs that you need. ~leadme2kirk

Yep... I vowed not to spend any money on the game til they fixed the game infrastructure such as the exchange. They haven't got a dime of my money since they went F2P.
