I ask Cryptic and all of you What to do with 10s millions of fleet credits?

There is a people in this game that have millions of fleet credits.
Did any one ever think that we can do something else except buy character bound items ?
Can't donate to the fleet or any one in the fleet , can't convert what is the purpose of fleet credits except to force us to be selfish ?
Did any one ever have thought about it ?

    Would be nice if you could get account shared items for it... So you could supply alts with more gear..

    But in the end, we both know that Ain't going to happen.

    If I ever get to that state, I'd buy purple Fleet doff packs, unpack them and sell on the Exchange. Especially the tac doffs, they have special cannon skills that are in high demand.

    OP, did it ever occur to you that you could buy Fleet Doffs and Commodities with EC, and then donate those to your fleet projects?

    Thats the way to donate to your fleet.

    I thot that was the point of fleet credits, a currency to buy stuff with after contributing to building a starbase, for the character that put in the effort. ^^

    No.

    As mentioned above you can use fleet credits to buy doffs at the starbase, that can then be used in the projects. half the time in every fleet ive been in progression is slowed down because people either dont know this, or dont want to do it.

    You can also again as mentioned buy better doffs and sell them for EC and spend them on commodities for the fleet, or buy the embassy things from the replicator, or you can buy operational assets that make the fleet actions easier for everyone involved, as they can only be used in those fleet actions.

    or you can buy fleet mark boosts that give 20% extra FM which will benefit the fleet.

    Easy fix: stop donating to the fleet so we others get a chance?

    You know, us, who we do not know the exact time when the fleet leaderships puts up new projects or are rather busy at that time (like with work) and as such always are left with "donate grey doffs which you don't have".


    If you have millions of fleet credits, its the signal that you should take a breather and give others the chance to be millionaires too.

    I have 25 mill on just one char mainly be cause i built a star base up to level 3 tier and i did it bye my self from the start i mainly use all of my Fleet credits to bye Doff packs and use them on the stabase.And sell some.:D

    Since there are really many ways to reinvest your fleetcredits, appart from doffs, like fleetmark boosters, i don't see that this would be an immidiate problem. However it would be nice to have a DOFF mission for example that changes FC into dilithium ore or EC.

    Just conversion trough DOFFs are not enough, I think that Cryptic should let us spend FC in every fleet project in any fleet means or all of it is useless, exchange something for nothing.
    Everything what is posted don't answer my question .

    Am I wrong or not but FC look like complete scam , fraud .

    2. Sell them in exchange.

    Well in every fleet there are big contributors which bring the fleet projects ahead and some guys, who just are casual contributors (500K in FC).
    What could motivate the ppl would be some real high-end equipment. Of course high priced.

    But for example you could get some elite fleet shields, resilient, adaptive and here comes the advantage... it has a base resistance against all energy dmg of 15 % (so you dont have to choose between Res A and Res B any more). Make the base capacity or recharge rate also a bit higher and price it at 500K Fleet credits. Why not?

    Make a elite fleet engine, which gives you high speed, improved turnrate and like the reman protoype around 35 more points in defensive or offensive. Plus give it 1.8 more energy for each subsystem (like the zeropoint console) and also price it for 500K FC.

    The advantages are not as significant, that those items would be unbeatable. Just slightly better what is available in the game currently.

    so i just reached the 10Mill mark but what to do with it ??

    can not buy purple doffs and sell them the fleets not there yet.

    allready have over 1000 white doffs that i dont want to sell because they can be used in base projects.

    I really need something for my credit or i will need to stop donating to the fleet.:(

    The answer was already given. Sell common ones, Even if you don't want to, as you say, which is pointless because you can and make ton's of ec, then use some of your fc's to get more doff's to donate to projects. Keep repeating this cycle. Your alternative is to keep the 1000 common doffs so you can donate to projects, but as you say you won't be able to because you're at your limit, so its pretty self explanatory here. Make millions of ec with your fc's or don't, the choice is yours. :eek:

    I think the entire value system of the STO need serious reform, otherwise this value system what we have now is absolutely stupid and devalued beyond everything.

    Just to remember some of you what we have , there are several types of HMMM valuable currency:

    EC - Energy Credits
    DIL - Dulithium
    FC - Fleet Credits (we all have but no use of it)
    Z - Zen Points (ex Cryptic points) represent real money the real value is under the question if any government find out what Zen is they will close Criptic and PW in the seconds. IT IS AGAINST THE LAW !!!!
    LC - Loby Cristal (mysterious currency)

    ch bound:
    OM - Omega Marks
    RM - Romulan Marks
    NM - Nukara Marks ( in the near future)

    Some Q stupidities and Crystalin something

    Is their more of this to come ?

    What is the purpose of all of this ?

    Everything looks like corrupt gambling table masked with nice STO story where house all ways win what ever we do, did any one ever got money back ?

    If any one come up with story about Atari it is BS please don't they couldn't make profit 10000 per 1 cause the profit margin is 1000 per 1 it was not enough so they sell to the PW.

    It is a currency, the purpose of any currency in a game is to use it in exchange for goods or services, which is what I do.

    The problem with STO is there is an infinite influx of currency and very low outflows of currency so a lot of the currency floats in the economy and it just gets circulated and the more currency in the economy the higher inflation balloons which makes it increasingly harder for new players to enter the game and compete.

    A lot of things I purchased 6 months ago for 15-20m are in the vicinity of 100m on the exchange now. They need a better EC faucet which will extract EC from the economy, the dribs and drabs are not enough.

    They should introduce a number of cosmetic items sold by vendors which are bound to the character for the purpose of keeping inflation in check. Some really nice cosmetic gear which with a price that will make you blush, the items should be very desirable and very, very expensive.

    The problem is most game developers are economically incompetent and tend to ruin their own economic system and make their game harder to get into. When I started playing some of the low level items were in the millions of EC, it was ridiculous really. Nobody can afford that new to the game.

    Okay going off topic, and I'll bite. What law is it against? How is it against the law? It's a premium currency in a free to play game, which is pretty standard, even to the fee game apps you can get on phones and ipods now.

    No other game has multiple currencies do they? Oh hold on WoW does, gold, honour points, conquest points, justice points and valour points. Let's not forget all the different ones in Star Wars, including a premium currency for cash like Zen.

    On the mail. Was it an in game mail? It looks alot like the complaints that are being made in game and thread here. What would you want them to say? It is a third party currency selling/power levelling thing, that is rife in all MMOs with an unrestricted economy. It has nothing to do with Cryptic or PWE.

    No MMO has been able to get rid of them without introducing draconian measure no one here would thank you for. RS got rid of a load when they introduced the exchage, however there are strict price ranges for items and you can not post for higher or lower than the price range, ladt time I was on it anyway.

    They could possibly revert the ship prices bought from the NPCs back to EC. This would be a sink then and more likely to be used than the current dilithium costs. There are enough dilithium sinks now that this should not cause a problem where the exchange is concerned.

    Apparently they were going to introduce crafting specialisations. Maybe they could bring this in but make the schematics for these only available for EC. Possibly even an EC version of the current unreplicatable items, but the ones bought for EC be BoP and only usable for the specialisation recipies/plans/designs. Another sink would be introduced this way

    I must be doing something wrong because the most I have on one character is 392,000...and I have bought nothing...

    What are you doing to generate so much? I mean dilithium and FC are a 1:1 ratio so you definetly aren't pouring in dili...

    I hit about 4.5 million in contribs on my main, but it's mostly gone now. Bought a lot of doffs, mostly commons to help fill projects.

    By that way, Cryptic, when you open ~100 common science/medical doff packs and less than ten of them are medical, it's rather disheartening.

    I also outfitted an away team with Elite ground gear. Got myself a Fleet Assault and Fleet HEC. Three extra active assignment slots are a big help. My Romulan tactical officer lost his face, but he doesn't need it. He was boring looking anyway.

    Now the grinding continues and the waiting begins, as my fleet is a few weeks from Science V. Those Elite Hangars are expensive- 100k FC and 45k dil each. I'm also hoping for Fleet Warp Cores in May or soon after.

    I have over 2 mil Fleet Credits and I wouldn't want to blow them all on random duty officers. Buying Fleet DOff packs is a cop-out. Cryptic needed a quick sink-hole for people who are swimming in Fleet Credits and that was what they pulled out of their butt in the whole 10 seconds they considered this problem.

    There is nothing worthwhile spending your hard-earned Fleet Credits on. I have put probably 40 to 50 mil energy credits worth of resources into my fleet, and the Fleet Credits I got in return get me peanuts in exchange for it.

    They need to add more stuff for us to spend Fleet Credits on. I would like to see the option to buy unique Fleet Bridge Officers, unique Fleet Carrier Pets, and Fleet Modules purely with Fleet Credits in exchange.

    I was building my very own starbase i made it to tier 3 upgrades bye my self i have been building it since day one.:D

    This is be for i started to add members to fleet.

    Fleet marks give the most Fleet Credits out of every thing else.

    I used wiki to help me find the lowest prices on every item.Starting with Commodities
