With the revamp to the trait system, several character traits received a significant boost. One specific ground trait, Covert, had an additional +10% stealth added to the current +20% stealth. This change essentially makes Tactical officers using stealth module III immune to the AoE stealth debuff from the science captain's tricorder scan ability. Is there any chance the tricorder scan ability could have it's stealth debuff numbers increased, so that cloaked tactical officers can be detected like they currently can on holodeck?
A second question, Acute senses and limited telepathy are both ineffective at detecting cloaked players with covert because covert is a percent change and the two main stealth detection traits are a specific number. Could both of these abilities receive a change so that they are each +10% perception instead of just +10?
Now that we've seen Warp Cores on Tribble, with the Federation/Klingon Warp Cores come with any powers/abilities along the lines of the Romulan ones?
Can we eject it and blow it up in the enemy's faces? Can we? Oh can we please? That would be totally worth getting towed back to spacedock. (Edit: Though I guess there might be a scale issue with that one.)
Also, any chance we're getting a redesign of the basic (non-bridge) interior bits of the ship Fed and KDF side in the foreseeable future? I ask cause aside from Orions, only the Romulans are supposed to be green.
Am (mostly) loving the beta, seriously great job all around. One thing that has crossed my mind that I forgot to ask during ask cryptic is, has any thought ever been given to the possibility of a deflector/shield/engine set for small craft?

LTS and just picked up the Romulan Legacy pack. With certain ships lately design wise have gone off the deep end, science vessels that are more escort, actual tactical oriented cruisers that lend themself well to tactical captains and are survivable, and actual "glass" escorts that are pure offense. The Galaxy and the Galaxy-X are still the bane to their captains and a majority of Klingon Fleet Ships have no way of getting a discount. Now you are introducing the singularity mechanic that a lot of the beta testers describe as vastly OP versus the Fed and KDF ships. My question is a two parter, are you guys planning on going back to some of the original ships and flushing them out a bit and are Fed and KDF console powers going to get a bit of a buff to keep up with the new Romulan Singularity mechanic?
Oh and new Trek movie...so where is my T5 Conni, Exeter, Excalibur, etc?

Please share details if you can, especially what your going to do with the stats etc. Like will it be a dreadnought carrier like the Jem'hadar dreadnought carrier? I also know that Romulan republic has outlawed thalaron weapons but can it please come with a long charge time thalaron weapon... and please come in 3 flavor pack with different consoles which have synergy.
And as others have asked will there be any changes to help encourage healers,tanks,crowd controllers to participate in pve event, raids , stfs, basically any end game space content. becuase currently superior dps > all the rest.

I just want to let you know geko I understand the problems with balance and design with armor slots etc. You are stuck between a rock and a hard place. While not changing seems like the best thing sometimes, you are pissing people off by not trying to balance or what I think the real problem is making other classes besides escorts feels useful. I am glad that in plans you want to make them feel useful with the utmost respect for the pressure you have from both the community and your business. You will get flack no matter what so just try to accomplish this goal. My question as the lead are you going to push this with in systems design to make all "classes" feel useful? especially once LOR systems and content reaches its completion? like figuring out the armor slot or anything you wish to add or change ?
Will we see any of the edochi ships in a lock box becuase they honestly look bad TRIBBLE, I'm guessing they have singularity cores,and battle cloak, from what i have seen of them in the beta.
Is the team also aware the eptx changes have made it harder to justify using different eptx powers and that damage control doffs, have been severely lost a lot of their use. While I welcome some of the changes there have been some unintended problems I have seen.
Are we going to see another tholian lockbox with tarantula and the mesh weaver as playable ships.
Why have two different dual cannons when one is superior statistically then the other, I'd like them to rather be just personal choose, between faster firing and slower. Not don't bother with normal dual cannons and always go heavy dual cannons.
Are there plans to change the crew stat on ship so that higher crew ships get more benefit then low crew ships? becuase currently kinetic weapons wipe the crew with out hitting the hull? and lower crew ships regenerate crew faster thous gain more passive heal more frequently in battle.
Any chance we could see the Jem'hadar attack ship hangar pet become an account unlock? I would prefer not to give my carrier captain a ship she would never use just to have the option to buy a hangar pet.

Is there any chance we will see some Reman designed ships inspired by the Scimitar? I am not really a big fan of a Reman skin on a Romulan ship. Also you mentioned a secondary deflector for science ships, what about a Sensor Array instead?
Will there be an offical word on this dilithium "exploit" in the foundry that doesn't come from a podcast? I put exploit in quotes since I don't consider some dev on a podcast an offical source of information on the issue and consider it bad form to place what might be vital information to a player in a non-offical source.

Speaking of standard dual cannons; I wouldn't mind seeing those, and the single cannons, look visually a bit more like the Reliant and Enterprise's pulse phaser fire from "The Wrath of Khan".
I see Factional differences, in terms of gear and stuff, to mainly be that of the Ships. If you want a cool ship that does X, you go with Faction Y. The actual gear you equip should be the same.
But we know that Fed and KDF get different weapons. And that a lot of people on either side would rather have the other's weapons.
So what if we got an Espionage Holding that unlocked Elite Weapons of the other faction(s) as its ultimate unlock (whether espionage be a 3, 5, or whatever tier progression). Perhaps have a dual unlock prerequisite (ie, to get Elite Space weapons from the other faction, you'd need T5 Engy AND max Tier Espionage).

Also there was a console command removed back in Feb that allowed you much greater choice when customizing your costume "/costumecreator.setslottype TRIBBLE" (it's removed and doesn't work so no point trying) are there any plans to allow people to unlock a less restrictive tailor like that either through Zen or subscription?

Hi Al, Gecko. I have one big concern for the game, I hope is addressed by our new UI. In the current UI if I want dialog text to be large enough to read comfortably (I have 20/20 vision) like at a font size pt 12 and over I have to make the whole hud larger and clutter my screen. I like having a nice taut interface and larger text. Story missions are hard on my eyes.
