This weapon isn't supposed to be draining energy when firing with another weapon, yet it does. Given the terrible bonuses on this weapon, its a pretty sad weapon without it working.

Has this been acknowledged by devs yet? I see its been reported before, but some mod keeps mistakenly merging it with the FAW bug thread. This is a separate issue. Stop it.

hopefully they`ll leave it alone this time for the devs to notice the experimental beam bug report

and just to avoid series of questions or invalid conclusions:
    - there have been several tests performed to confirm that the bug exists with several different configurations and beam placements
    - yes weapon drains power, it shouldn`t
    - no, testing just 1 weapon and saying it doesn`t drain power is not proper testing - currently any weapon ingame when used by itself WILL NOT drain power - the drain takes place as soon as more than 1 weapon is fired at a given time

I`m just wondering, is the complete lack of interest related to the bug being hard to fix or irrelevant to devs? because (I can only speak for myself) It`s annoying to say the least

There are a million-and-one things they need to do. They prioritise. Don't fret, they'll fix it eventually. :D

You could be right. On the other hand there are still a good number of relatively easy to fix bugs that have survived three years and counting.

It`s not that I`m expecting that they fix it right away, I`d just be glad to see a dev write a reply "alright, the bug report has been added to the queue, will be fixed as soon as we have resources", because we`re not even sure that the devs are aware that the bug exists and got reported here

There is hope. Look at the trible patch notes dated the 29th.

'The Experimental Romulan Plasma Beam Array no longer drains power when using Fire At Will. '
