I must say that i do a lot of trade via the exchange.
At some point the informative mail became just overwhelming, that was half a year ago.
Trying to open the Mail in game ends up with my computer getting almost freezed.
Is there a easy way to check or delete some mail without being in Game?
It wouldn't bother me, but i can't acess ANY mail, i can't even send some DOFF to another character of mine, i can't even read mail from other persons.
Really this is not funny anymore, if someone knows a way to handle this problem, please let me know.

Man, this happens to me too as of my switch from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 8 (same hardware) at the beginning of March. After updating, reinstalling the STO client twice, rolling back drivers, using beta drivers, force-verifying, etc etc, my mail and any other long lists (like Foundry search) completely freeze the UI. And the game is almost unplayable anyway on my 17" MBP w/ 330M gfx. Like I said, worked great on Windows 7! But upon switching to 8 to get that extra 10GB of space for LoRomulus expansion in May (matters on a 40GB SSD partition...), the game is uber laggy, even on lowest settings. And the UI lag is infuriating since I do a lot of exchange transactions and love foundry missions. Dunno if it's an Nvidia thing or a Cryptic thing -- or both.
I am doff trader so, cleaning my garbage mail isn't much of an option. I recieve a good 100 emails per day, as I am fairly active, on all day gaming I will recieve hundreds in one day rounded down. My record for emails in one day is approx. over 600. Now, I like playing the game not spending hours deleting mail.
I did that once, it took me almost 3 hours and that was before I got into doff trading on a regular basis. I tried it again, spent almost 2 hours and only got rid of 4 days of mail. I now just don't open my mail for fear of crashing the client lol, it hasn't yet but it does freeze up for about 10 seconds then the game has extreme lag of about 1 fps. I will not waste my time anymore or again, I play to have fun.
As far as doff trading between alts, I just post them on one char slightly above what I am buying them for, then buy them from my alt, which generates more emails lol. Composing an email to send doffs to my alt I end up selling a few in the time i send it, log out, log in, open box, search for that email, by this time it's usually 5-10 emails down now hehe. Yes, this is the life of a doff trader. All the while dealing with extreme lag and risk of crashing.
So, yes it is easier to sell and buy than to send. Also, you don't have to get to it right away unless your sending a bunch. This is typical for sending uncommon kdf doffs to my kdf alt for grinding down. I don't skip buying kdf doff for grinding down on my fed character, this help regulate prices and I will make a profit rather I end up buying that doff with my kdf alt or if someone else does. Purpose is to get rid of em and out of the way for fed doffs :P.
If u want to delete mail quickly just line up the windows so that when the ok button overlaps with the delete button then all you have to do is click continuously until your mail is clear, the confirmation window is always open in the same position but you can move the mail window. it take me about 10s to clear 40+ mail
