The character select screen is still not showing my characters ships, and instead showing their shuttles/small craft on every toon that has a small craft. Is there any progress on this? Am I the only one that's having this issue? I've put in a bug report for this on each patch since the LoR stuff arrived.

It's just a carry over of the same bug that's on holodeck now which sometimes says you are in a shuttle on your character select screen when you're not, I would assume.

Is this a BOFF from a character you copied from Holodeck? if so, have you tried re-copying the character over?

Yep -- and yep and it's the same way on holodeck -- happens when you trade the Rom Boff over to someone for training.

Nope. It even names my active ship on the character select screen, but still shows my shuttles.

Frankly I'd kind of like it to show both.

Of course I'm only saying that now that I'm saving Lobi for the timeship shuttle. :-)

    Generally looks fine, but:

Is there some reason we can't just have an opaqueness slider?

I grant you, this is a fairly minor quibble.

That's my long-term hope, and the work that went into this update now was a vital part of making that a possibility in the future.

I really hope the big "shuttle bug" (or maybe are they plenty smaller shuttle related bugs?) gets eradicated before the big release. It's been here for a while, and as they add new features, it seems to propagate further and furher.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

pre-F2P cstore ships are still horribly obselete compared to their post F2P counterparts. Tier 5 ships mind you.

Is it so hard to update them to include the same boff station benefits the new ships have? You know.. the Nebula/Dkyr receiving .. SOMETHING? Making the Lt. universal into a lt cmdr universal would be a good start... my flying pancake needs love.

Good to know, and I suppose not really that surprising. But nice to see it confirmed.

I really am pretty positive about the UI revamp in general, even if there are a couple gremlins in there still. I think it looks quite "trek", or at least the modern ones. A TOS feel really wouldn't work without the buttons blooping loudly when pressed. :-)

my lib borg can now be fully optimized! yay!

thats cool about the kdf small craft, it the hanger fighter getting battle cloak? and what about the general's chariot?

Thats what I was wanting to know too... I'm hoping there will be some more events for shuttles/fighters especially with this battle cloak on the fighters it would feel more Klingon to use them.

Yeah I like the lib borg changes too so we can customize them further to make them feel more Klingon.

I also am wondering with these fighters and such if there is going to be some more events besides the vault that we can do because they will be a lot more fun with the battle cloak on them :D

[*]Significantly reduced memory footprint of UI windows.

Would you say it has a smaller memory footprint than the older UI? If not, is that a design goal?

Bridge officers save now which is nice. I still cannot add to my skills (it resets after a few seconds) and I still can't enable traits.

    I had this problem also...

Go to the Skill NPC on DS-9 and do a respect with her (Lt Commander Tara)...
    (it's free)

    It will fix the problem.

Didn't work for me, the same thing happened: I'd set my skills and as soon as I accepted them they reverted saying that an error occured.

Am I the only one that's having this issue? I've put in a bug report for this on each patch since the LoR stuff arrived.

Update on the shuttle bug: I have been able to get my actual ship to show up on TRIBBLE, but it involves deleting ALL small craft from my characters, and then re-purchasing/claiming them. This is a bit problematic, as the C-Store on Tribble isn't fully tied in to our live accounts (doesn't seem to have a record of all purchases/different Zen amounts/not all items are even shown on the C-Store) so you can't reclaim C-Store small craft on TRIBBLE, but more importantly, you cannot re-claim a Delta Flyer on HOLODECK if you got yours via the old crafting system (the non-C-Store version)*

*another issue with the crafted Delta Flyers: you cannot remove the "USS" prefix from their names like the other small craft.

While you are deep in the jungle of the UI code, can you take a 'quick' detour to the 'split stack' window? Because whenever you reworked the 'trade stack' to include a input numbers instead of having to adjust the slider with your mouse someone forgot to apply that to the stack splitting as well. At least I hope it was forgotten because keeping it that way by intention would have been just devious. :P

This applies also to the Delta Flyers from the C-Store, or at least mine.

    @Thomas the Cat,

The UI is looking better and better with each update, there are still some issues but overall I feel this is a very positive direction.

I'm not sure if this is your area, but it seems like it might be:

    1) In the UI on holodeck now, and on Tribble. When you go to

    Ship > Status > Defense

The Shield Regeneration Rate only works for some shields (ex: Borg) and not for others (ex: MACO).

    2) All of those neat little bits of information like Defense score, Critical Hit, Resistances, Shield Regen, etc. are buried deep with in menus and submenus. City of Heroes had an option to open a tiny window that allowed you to choose specific combat statistics to display permanently on the HUD. This would be a really amazing feature.

    3) Shield Resistances are not displayed in the UI, it is one of the many mystery statistics that also happens to be critical to performance and understanding performance. Can you please find a spot for this in the DEFENSE sub-menu at least?

    Thanks for you time.

    Awesome.
Does anyone know how bad the original one was, or how much of an improvement the new UI is? Also, general bridge officer UI bull****, improved?

I too would like to see more Field Generator marks, not just blue Mark XI or better.
Let us wear Swimsuits on Foundry maps or bridges please! I would pay zen for that.

THE UI IS STILL WAY TOO BIG! IT IS A MAJOR ISSUE FOR PLAYERS WITH SMALLER SCREENS, I AM USING BIG BOLD YELLOW CAPS IN HOPES SOMEBODY WILL FREAKIN LISTEN TO US!!!!
Watch as the Dev's continue to completely ignore us as per usual...

The issue is that where everything USED to fit perfectly in the bottom of the screen it now does NOT fit, for smaller screens this means more of the view is BLOCKED by the UI!

I have a small screen and I love the new UI. It's no less intrusive than the old one and looks light years and centuries better.

I'm one of those that's cringing when he goes back to holodeck.

Will the option remain for those who wish to use the current true blue UI or is that a game breaking "there can be only one" situation?

Indeed an opaqueness slider would be exquisite.

A bug that I hate with a passion. So annoying across the board.

TTC - It would be really great if you could add locks to each option and slider value in the character selection/tailor screens. So that some choices remain fixed when hitting randomize.

    Thanks.

You can, and always have been able to, change the scale of the UI to make everything fit better.

So, my Kar'Fi seems to have a battlecloak, but I don't remember that being mentioned in any patch notes. Is that meant to be there, 'cause if so that's kind of cool, but it's a Fek'Ihri not a Klingon one, so I don't think that should be there...

    Edit:
So have my Vo'Quv, Guramba, Varanus, Chel Grett etc.

    Right now, it probably can.
Mine seems to be cloaking... (link)
