Right, I meant how do we put in keys like "Page Down" or "Print Screen". Is it just the whole thing, or are the words abbreviated? Insert, Home, and End are the one words, but I don't know about those others.
You have to know the program's name for the key. You can learn this by going to Options>Keybinds and temporarily setting a key for a command - use the 'Select special key' button to see the list of names.
(BTW I believe the print screen key is called PrtScrn, but I could be wrong.)
As soon as you shoot an enemy. Your BO's target them. Its nice because you can get your debuffs on the enemy, and as soon as you shoot everyone else joins in.

That sounds pretty good. I'll give that a try.
I tend to have it on autofire, but maybe its worth changing. Many thanks
1 - Emergency power to Weapons I
2 - Aft Quantum Torpedo Launcher
3 - Cannon Scatter Volley II
4 - Torpedo High Yield III
5 -Fore Quantum Torpedo Launcher
6 - Tractor Beam II
7 - Evasive Maneuvers III
8 - Emergency Power to Shields II
9 - Science Team I
0 - Engineering Team III (I love Boff trading & Training:)
I often just hit 1 & 3 just before coming into range, then hit the space-bar to fire all my cannons and turrets in a volley. having HY Torp. right next to the Fore Torpedo launcher also saves time, when I need to I can just rapidly hit 45 and launch 4 Quantums. Having TB, EM, & EPtoS all accessible from the numpad is a boon as well.
I have two more rows (the Ctrl & Alt rows) filled as well, but I'm not going to log in just to fill them out here, I might update this post later though.
So the subject of Key Binds has come up a few times as of late and since the orginal key binds thread has been archived, I thought I would revive the topic.
Thank you for your helpful posts! Your fellow Canadian is most grateful.
OK I'm not good at the keybing thing. I really don't like mouse flight in combat because I find Alt or Ctrl + # to be akward for getting of BO powers. I tend to spam the Fire All Weapons button on the UI in combat. What I would like to do is bind Redistribute Shields to the Fire All Weapons button on the UI. Would...
This one is my emergency escape key...I press it and it sets my power preset to Engines, Fires off an Engine Battery, Reroutes shield power to Rear, and then fires off Evasive Maneuvers power.
/bind <key> "GenButtonclick PowerLevel_Preset_2 $$ +TrayExecByTray 5 5 $$ +Power_Exec Reroute_Shields_Rear $$ +TrayExecByTray 5 7"
So in the above, Tray 6, slot 6 is Engine Battery, and Tray 6 slot 8 is Evasive Maneuvers power.
I love this combo! Just one thing: is there any way to also include going full forward to the command?

Anyways, not important, it's only two keys.
I'd like to have my Character say "Beam us aboard" as she presses her badge and beams.
Only if a Dev can tell us what the command is for it? I would think, since its an option on the map hud, that this would be the only way.
I like this one:
/bind 1 "+TrayExecByTray 0 0 $$ PetCommands_SetAllToOwnerAttackTarget"

You can bind the two together, then his the "exit map button"
the emote for the combage is "combadge"
So...and this is guessing....
/bind <key> "emote combadge$$SAY Beam us aboard"
/bind GenSendMessage HUD_Root FireAll $$ +power_exec Distribute_Shields
Work?
Should I get rid of the $$?
I am so lost. LOL
Oh and please forgive the thread necro.
Nevermind I tried it both ways and neither actually worked.

is there any way to do the same but for run and sprint?
The command was not bound to a key, must be in order to work.
bind <key> "GenSendMessage HUD_Root FireAll $$ +Power_Exec Distribute_Shields" should work.

my non-letter keybinds.
