How about the ability to buy additional transporter effects from the c-store. This would replace the default faction transporter effect you and your away team uses with others in the Trek universe - Cardassian, TOS era, Borg, etc. It's just a vanity item but I bet a lot of people would buy them!

LOVE IT! I'd buy it! TOS, or even Pilot TOS effects!
I'd like to see them improve the effects, in general, so that it doesn't look like your character's features are being removed piece by piece...

I could definitely see the TOS transporter sound/effect being a popular purchase.
The only thing that bugs me about transporting currently is that if you have a non combat pet it doesn't beam out with you. It just stands there all alone when you leave. Someone should look into that. Horta abandonment is a serious issue.

I always wondered why my hair transported before the rest of me
But yea, I bet the TOS visual and sound effects would be an especially popular seller.
Since it is fake, the teleporter system moves it first and then plops it back onto your head when the rest of you teleports. Pssst... don't tell the girls that my mustache is fake...

I dunno, I don't want to see Feds and Klingons using Cardassian or Borg transporter FX..this game needs to retain some kind of dignity folks.
I agree, but I wouldn't mind some TNG versions for Feds and KDF.
I never understood why they gave Feds the Voyager transporter effects since it was only ever seen in Voyager and everything else was always similar to TNG.

Really?!
So . . . I can make a Borg Captain in Starfleet, and have them pilot a Cardassian Galor, but having the Cardassian Beam In/Out FX to match my Cardassian ship causes the game to lose dignity?
That's absurd . . . especially with some of the mechanics & story already in place for LoR.
Example: Romulan Republic Agriculturists gaining access to SF/KDF ships, those same Romulans sharing Romulan Tech with UFP/KDF, those same Romulans helping SF/KDF fleets by contributing to their projects AND buying from those same SF/KDF Fleet Stores.
With all of that already in place, using different Beaming FX seems to me like a more LOGICAL step rather than an act which would cause the game to lose dignity.

Pay attention.
Voyager came last in the timeline.
Therefore, the Voyager Beaming FX are the logical choice for any other work that takes place AFTER Voyager.

Cryptic, please pay attention. I would pay a hefty sum of Zen points for this feature so I can have the "correct" transporter effect for my Cardassian Galor class ship.

They do need to tweak the transporter effect in general a little bit though. Its funny watching the character beam out before their underwear does.
