wondering what that new Bat'Leth will be like. Shield Penetration % ?
Well, Tritanium Rending suggests it can cut starship hulls. Considering how excessive that would be for cutting people, I'm hoping it mounts on the front of your ship and you just fly into stuff.
Hold off on celebrations until we have a chance to see if the bug fix actually worked! (It should, but ...)
If I have to go in again and poke around some more because something was missed, I'll execute the transporter officer.
If we actually see a new transporter officer in the next few patches ...
You would achieve some kind of new level of DEV Awesome never before achieved.
No story even need be attached.

If I have to go in again and poke around some more because something was missed, I'll execute the transporter officer.
In my opinion, the Transporter officer should have been executed long ago. I mean I have have executed Doffs for less incompetence. Some things just should not be allowed in a proper Klingon establishment. :P
Last year I had one Fed & one KDF toon. This year I have two more on each side so I'm looking forward to this that much more. As to the rest. If you didn't get the non combat pet last year you can get it now and that's good. If you did get it and your whiniging about not having something else to get for free SHUT IT! It's First Contact Day, not bloody Christma-Hana-Qwanzika! Get a job!
(I just had to get it off my chest after reading the "posts" on the news archive, mewling brats over there!)
I'm also interested in the Bortas'Qu costume for my KDF main. She's an alien race not K'linzai and would not be caught dead in any of the off-the-rack Klingon "Fashion". Personally I thought the rest of the new costume was a Fleet unlock?
I've actually gotten used to the transporter bug, but early on it drove me nuts. Though it helped me develop Lt. Gen. Scyilia's character. Why she's always so irritable every time she has to return to the Empire's Capitol.
I actually looked into that bug and put in an update for it while I was going through the Qo'noS hookup for this.
I say along with the fix ... add in a new transporter officer for giggles and leave a scorch mark on the wall as a sign of ... how the problem was dealt with.
People beaming from the shipyard in Qo'noS back to the First City should no longer wind up at the shipyard again.
I see how it is. You only fix bugs when it gets in the way of a special event that takes place where the bug is. People have been complaining about that bug for a long long time and you just now decide to fix it?
Another excample: In at least a couple episodes there were bugs that prevented us from completing the episodes entirely and it sometimes took several attempts to finish them. I don't remember all of the episodes but 1 was Boldly they Rode. While in an EV suit outside DS9, you get to the very end and the hatch to enter the station would not activate. You had to beam to your ship and restart the spacewalk part all over again and keep doing that until you were able to get into the station and finish the mission.
For the episode Boldly they Rode and the other(s), they were reported on the forums in October or November 2012. These episodes were part of the Featured Series rerun and I did all of them in December during the holiday event to get all the free hidden Lobi Crystals. All of the bugged episodes worked perfectly finally and I don't remember anything in the patch notes about it.
So Cryptic only fixes bugs when it inconveniences their special events. I see.
The shipyard bug in the Qo'nos system was an inconvenience. Often times when I wind up on the shipyard while trying to beam to First City from the system, I would end up back on the shipyard. One time I beamed into the shipyard from the shipyard 4 times and finally had to click the Beam to your ship button on the mini map.
I say along with the fix ... add in a new transporter officer for giggles and leave a scorch mark on the wall as a sign of ... how the problem was dealt with.
Won't a blood smear be more noticeable and reasonable?

Yea... +1
And... Make a clickable prompt when the scorch mark is approached (much like the SFA's memoriam plaques) and when clicked, gives some sort of a memoriam for the old chief and how she was executed for incompetence! A warning for future First City Staff! That would be fun!
I have to say it's fantastic that you're including something for the KDF this time around, KDF unique too and not re-hashed Fed content. I hope this is a trend you'll continue to do and give some uniqueness back to both factions.
Thank you, for credit where it is due.

Won't a blood smear be more noticeable and reasonable?
I must agree.
And btw, that's one sexy Klingon (I assume) captain of the Bortas'Qu. :P Looking forward to meeting her.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.
Not sure if i'll pick up that pet for the federation (non combat pet is just wast of space), but the KDF reward looks fun. Maybe useful when i get bored and go Borg hunting with my trusted bat'leth.
If only the romulan faction was already here then I'd be interesting to see how they celebrated first contact day.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
That... is still somewhat more useful than getting sent to the shipyard instead.
Okay, that gave my face it's daily dose of excercise.
Anyways though, I'm looking forward to getting something to add to my Orion Marauder's collection of Batleths. I might even dismember a few Borg with it. Speaking of dismembering Borg.... any idea on if a change is in the works to stop the Borg from adapting to Nanopulse batleths? It used to be that the adaption proc would appear but not do anything, similar to how they used to pretend to adapt to regular melee. But when the fix to make them adapt to plasma fire was put in they became able to actually adapt to nanopulses.

Slots Transporter Officer into Execute for Incompetence Assignment.
Critical Success !
Can you give the npc a new face / uniform / name so we can pretend he actually got Executed?
Feds get the Phoenix ...again?
I had hoped for the NX Alpha this time around

please let it be this one !?!?!?!
...and just in case the stats suck (because its free), i'd totally be willing to buy a Fleet Advaced/Elite Version of it.
If I have to go in again and poke around some more because something was missed, I'll execute the transporter officer.
Can't wait to meet the crew of the Flagship, and wondering what that new Bat'Leth will be like. Shield Penetration % ?

Just saying.
A new level of it.
Hah! At least you think like a proper Klingon! Qapla'!

Q'plah!
Now I hope it actually doesn't work!

Rather beam in and see that instead of a Gorn any day!
Orion girls are fun, but sometimes not so efficient. Always leaving their posts to seduce someone or assassinating the kitchen staff. Quite a handful!
Gorn also have big thick clumsy fingers that could mis-hit buttons on that control panel! We could be beamed into space or anywhere!
No, I wouldn't trust a Gorn Transporter Chief! lol
