Is the Steamrunner class still available?

    Yes it is. You can purchase it via Steam. However, in order to access it you will have to download STO and play it through Steam itself. The ship comes as a bundle and includes an account wide unlock of two class of ships. A lower tier level ship that comes with a special console, two or three bridge officers and some extra stuff and of course the T5 Steamrunner itself which comes with stock equipment.

    It goes on sell occasionally, I had purchased mine for $12 or $13 dollars a few months back. Otherwise it cost in and around $22.00. Is it worth the price? Yes. The ship itself comes better equipped than the Tier III Fleet Defiant and when built right is pretty great. In fact, PVP coaches via Boot Camp list it amongst the top escorts to own.

    Just don't discard the lower tier ship until you obtain the special console! Enjoy. :)

    Actually you just download steam,buy the starter pack, start STO download pause the download, then you can get your code, its that easy i done it very tanky escort.

    download and play via steam: nope.
    after purchase there's a code to see somewhere on your steam account (something like bought games or so).
    that you have to take to your sto account settings on perfect world page (/forum, top every page).
    that should unlock the steamrunner to your existing game ;).
    ...of course you can play via steam too.

    It's a pretty great pack. I got it awhile back for the t5ship and console but recently claimed it on a new alt and the lt. level ship and 2 BOs are great for new toons.

    I would like to see the other steam promotional items from launch added to the steam pack.
