In response to the many posters chiding those who are complaining about recent issues and recovery attempts by PWE/Cryptic, you should bear in mind that this is not an isolated incident. I and many others have experienced significant issues with the game since Thursday rendering it virtually unplayable for long stretches during that period. My job is in IT and we are required to provide regular communication to our customers about the nature of major issues and the expected recovery time. We're not being whiners when we complain - we are demanding performance for a service we are paying for. It is true that we are not aware of the efforts being put forth to recover the game, but that can be solved fairly simply with a few regular updates. Tonight's announcement of emergency maintenance is the first official acknowledgement of overall game problems I've seen in 5 days. If I had kept my customers in the dark this long at work, I'd be very worried about my next review.
that sounds like a problem on your machine ? did you log into a different account on your computer ? The launcher should stay but if its not there you should be able to find it in ?programs?

I see alot of request for information of this emergency maintenance but I have yet seen an actual reply for the maintenance. I personally don't think that is right, that information should be right there at the top with the estimated time before we can get back online.
To the Forums Management, I respectfully request that information be updated as soon as possible.
Yes most of us in the SDF have good judgment & think about what we are about to say, & some well....not so much. It's time to rethink command structure I do believe. :cool:

Next time there's emergency maintenance, could we get a little bit more than 15 minutes notice? I was in an STF when the 15 minute warning went out, and the server restarted before I finished.
What part of emergency was unclear? Can you just see geordi saying to captian warp core breach in 15 minutes and getting a reply that he expects more notice in future of these emergencies?
Anyway with the server being down a came across a new problem. For some reason, I can no longer find the launcher anywhere on my computer. Is anyone else having this problem, is it just me not knowing where to look, or is this expected with a down server. Don't hate me for asking an honest question.
