I really do feel for the Dev's to be honest - we live in age where everyone acts so entitled, wants everything and wants it yesterday.

I'm on the receiving end in a job where one has to try and meet people's expectations, and those expectations are always VERY high. It's not fun, it can cause undue stress and it can make life very miserable - being told that you've done something wrong or haven't done it fast enough is demoralising; and even when you do it right, said people find something else to pick fault with. It really is soul destroying.

Sadly, those who hold said high expectations don't care. They just want what they want, and that is ALL they care about.

I take it you work in customer service?

I'm a software developer, and I know the kinds of stress you are talking about first hand. However, if I were to release software with features that failed immediately on use, and continued to leave those features broken for many many releases, I would no longer be working on that software as I would've gotten canned. Since us Lifers have paid for the game, and we often buy Zen as well, it seems like they could afford to have a medium-sized core set of developers that actually pay attention to the code quality. It might also help to have a few project leads that cared about the quality as well, and wouldn't let a release out if the critical and major bugs are fixed first.

I'd really like to see the Romulan +/- Threat consoles fixed at some point so the Threat modifier actually does something. Why are we spending dilithium and all the other stuff on embassy if it unlocks only buggy worthless consoles?

Please fix this? (It really shouldn't have been added into the game until it was actually useful IMHO.)

They do things. It's not usually that -/+th that we care about.. it's the plasma DOT being added to say, spiral wave disruptors, that we care about. Because it's awesome.

No - but I have done.

I currently work for the NHS, as a Reception Supervisor in an Outpatient clinic of a Community Hospital. Though, sometimes the same applies - was 'told off' a few days ago by a patient who's appointment was at 11am - she came to the reception desk at 11:02 and gave our receptionist, and myself, a mouthfull about late-running Doctors/clinics.

I'll leave you to decide whether that sort of behaviour is reasonable or not.

Yep. I think each user only sees their own qualms, and doesn't see it from cryptic's end. IE being overwhelmed by the sheer number of things to do and wondering where to start or whether to wind their TRIBBLE or wipe their watch...
that would not be my dream job.

I would have told them. "If everyone turned up late, like yourself, then its no wonder we are running late."

Ditto...spent 20+ years as a business programmer analyst, then switched to network engineering...if I left my customers hanging like some of these MMORPG's do, with all their bugs, I' have long been out the door...try and tell a business why their system doesn't work and that it may take a while until you can fix it, and they can't run their business because the software doesn't work, and maybe they should go back to pencil and paper for a bit, while you try to figure it out...

Can't be done - you just have to smile, apologise for the inconvienience that they've been caused them, and assure them that they'll be seen in due couse.

I also work in the NHS, for a very busy Oncology Dept. When this happens sometimes the other patients jump in and defend. But I do straight talk the patients and point out to them that if there is a delay then there is a good reason for it and could the be a patient patient and take a seat.

I myself have seen customers be proven wrong. they think price is wrong when its actually right because the sale ended yesterday or doesnt start til sunday. Also IMO "the customer is always right," old expression is just an old expression its not a fact. Its a guideline that doesnt apply to everyone given the circumstances

Taxpayer funded, not free. And if the treatment costs to much you don't get it, like in the US.

well yea any untested unproven experimental drugs that cost millions to treat one or two patients shouldnt be avaible if ya ask me.

its not perfect but atleast free health care is better than none.

I just want the bug that stops you controlling your ship after re-spawning to be fixed. not much. :D

Maybe I am off here, but I was under the impression this was supposed to happen. If you were killed and then respawned really far from the area you were fighting, this would autopath you back to the correct area. If you did not need the autpath help and wanted instead to approach differently, you simply clear your target and regain control of your steering.
