Chat channels bugged

I basically have 2 problamatic custome chat channels, EliteSTF and DoffJobs.
Each channel is assigned a single chat-tab, so there are/is no conflicts/cluttering there.
The only people i can see posting anything in these chat channels are friends and fleetmates, but nobody else. The same goes for zonechat.

I already tried to /unhide myself, but that didn't work either.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

    I am having the same issue. I have lost the ability to see zone or local chat and feel like Im missing part of the chat coming from my fleet chat.

    I have filed a ticket twice and so far nothing.

    I wonder if there is some kind of link between me having an instant messenger which is able zu log into STO and this bug.

    Haven't experience what the you guys are describing exactly, but for me fleet chat is still friggen bugged. :mad:

    Fleet chat was broken when season 7 launched. My problem: if i go to the character select screen without logging out first, I will end up with all fleets my characters are in show up in my chat from the characters I logged into. Example: I log in on my KDF character, do up doff assignments, then switch to a Fed character and see my KDF fleet AND my Fed fleet chatting it up. Only way to fix it I've seen is to log out of the game and back in (just going back to log in screen, not talking about exiting and relaunching the game entirely, though that would fix it also).

    I'm guessing the problem, at least with fleet chat, is related to the change character feature introduced with season 7 launch where you can switch characters without having to log out of the game first.

    Just another example of a bug that's taking months to fix (if they ever do).

    Same here, fleet chat option is gone from the drop down channel box, and typing /f into the box every time is becoming annoying, happens most of the time now

    Okay i finally solved the problem.
    In the privacy settings ("Social" window, first tab, bottom right), just switched everything to on and then off again. Also switched to the "Anonymous" setting and then back to "Visible to All".
