Last we we had to suffer through multiple game-stopping bugs involving Engineering Team and a 120-second lockout of control function at random.
Was playing this morning, lockout STILL happens. I could have sworn the problem was isolated and specific to Engineering Team.
Most shockingly though it is STILL happening even though you swore up and down you knew what the problem was. And that was patched.
Last week we had to sit through a broken game. Promised unlocks failed to unlock, powers were broken beyond belief... and we were told hey guess what here's a NEW SHIP for you to play with.
The ship is buggy beyond belief. A ship intended to cost $30-50.
Glitched graphics, broken console abilities, bugged shields, and somehow the ship doesn't heal right.
This has gone far beyond a lack of QC into the realm of willful disrespect of your customers. You release a pay-for item so badly broken the server has to be patched overnight.
Which begs the question why we didn't get an emergency patch last week, buuuut I won't go there.
In all the time I've played this game I have never seen the level of quality so sharply decline... as has over Season Seven. Three customer revolts, game-wrecking bugs and now a C-store ship that is non-functional and glitched to hell out of the box.
What is it going to take to get this under control? And most importantly what are you as a company going to do to restore customer confidence?
I'm not talking a discount or a sale. You (cryptic) need to take a DRASTIC step to restore confidence because if you don't the negative publicity and anti-buzz is going to destroy any momentum you have gained over the past few months.

I do love demands from players. It always results in the demanded action being done...
There does seem to be a severe lack of QA going on with Cryptic but thats been the norm aoround here for a very long time.
I feel for the Players that jumped on the new Andorian ships and found them buggy.
I always try to wait a week or so after a new item has been released to make sure that most of the bugs have been worked out before I buy it (if at all).
It's not wrong to want better quality from the MMO that we spend money on, it's wrong that we have to ask fo it.
QA team is a myth. For example the recent Andorian "bug" could be revealed by simply FLYING the ship in a single arena match.
"Cryptic Studio’s Jack Emmert (2010): Microtransactions are the biggest bunch of nonsense. I like paying one fee and not worrying about it – like my cellphone. The world’s biggest MMO isn’t item based, even though the black market item GDP is bigger than Russia … microtransactions make me want to die.”

agreed dalnar. Although i have the suspicion that he bugged version was actually cleared by a department that uses the title QnA. However, now that people payed money for the smurf, they won't dare to nerf it. Fun times for KDF escort pilots.
Optional outfit bugged and missing flamethrower... you just lucky the stuff you care about is being handled at all, some of us have been waiting months now

What is the point of your....ranting?
Do you realy think they will listen to you personaly?
Because they have listened to other people... personally.
And if you don't let them know they are utterly failing to deliver a useable product they will never improve.
Suggest you troll elsewhere my friend, lest I report you for cluttering my thread with inanity and frivolous attempts at grief-ing.
You can report me if you like, i dont mind. But the problem with the op is that you have a good point, its more the way your bring it. But then again, thats for moost of the thread's on the sto forum....
So they think they found the problem, linked to Engineering Team and DEM.
But you still have the problem. So how about a list of the skills that you are using, so they the Devs have more information to help them sort this out.
Even better, as you are triggering this bug so often, you must have noticed by now the combienation of skills that you are using that triggers this bug. And that you have now provided the Dev with this information. :P
I also use Engineering Team but not DEM and have never had this problem occur.
Would be great if some of those "40+ people working on STO" could be put on QA and bug fixing, wouldn't it? I put off buying the Andorian escort specifically for this reason... history shows new releases are littered with bugs that may or may not be patched.
Would be even greater if the left patches on tribble for more than ten seconds as well.

Yeah, let's put the writers, ship designer, PR, marketing... to bug fixing ! I'm sure they'll do an awesome job !
Oh wait...

Taking a ship, flying it, and noticing my heals arent working....even my 10 years old cousin can do that, in 15 min...

Actually, people who aren't familiar with how something is programmed make for excellent testers. They'll find bugs a programmer would never find. Were you to have any experience with programming, you'd understand this.
Good points but they didn't say bug testing, they said bug fixing.
Consider yourself lucky to be Fed. At least you got a quick fix and probably a stealth buff as a reward for your ship. On KDF side, at best, we're being ignored and, at worst, we're being told "working as intended".
For how long did we have to live with a shared cooldown between the grenade launcher of the honor guard set and other grenades? It took 2 fed whiners about their adapted maco set to convince Cryptic to fix the issue in less than 30 seconds.

We should thank them, the grenade satchel with the KHG gun is way OP now.

I object to being called revolting.

Gee, maybe a day of testing on Tribble under real-world conditions...
Nah, would not matter they have no way to act on the information gathered by Tribble.
What is the point of your....ranting?
Do you realy think they will listen to you personaly?
Also.... the OP needs to learn the difference between a promise and a statement of intent. Cryptic rarely uses the first one.... For good reason.

As opposed to silently accepting bugged, broken or horribly designed content?
With that kind of attitude, nothing ever changes.
"Ok after extensive testing I promise the fix being pushed live will correct the bug."
I really ought to post the screen-cap of the conversation -- if it wasn't against rules I would.
Patch notes.

As recent evidence shows, they clearly can't do a worse job than the current QA team is.
