It may come eventually with an anti undine reputation. I like the ground armor, but the space visuals are horrible here. :D

The space art......ehhhhhh.....well........Not really seeing that kind of modification being fesable. The borg stuff makes sence, but the undine use organic everything, I don't see it being that compatable.

The space one looks like a ship warped into a dragon. it does not really look very undine, and from a story point of view the mesh of organic and technology probably wont work so even if you change it, im not seeing it. i would rather they just use the colour scheme and change your hull appearance rather than have stuff attached

the suit is interesting, but again it looks like some kind of japanese anime sci-fi. it does not scream undine to me at all.

Tell that to the Borg and the designers of Voyager. Voyager had a Bio-neural network. I just didn't understand why the Borg didn't figure that out and inject nanites into it and assimilate Voyager directly. The price of perfection = stupidity I guess. :P

ODN backups. Also voyager was equiped with plot device armor, this allowed it to almost always be nearly destroyed but just barely survive every time. With a fresh coat of paint to boot.

Really tho something like a skin would make some sence since it could be "grown" over the hull. But as far as major visual changes, not seeing it.

But the undine organic tech would totaly work alongside the partialy organic data networks in use on most starsips.

I see what you are getting at with the space set, and it would be cool to see Undine 'biomass' intertwined with standard hulls much like the Borg texture effect you get with the assimilated space set.

Not too sure about the ground kit though, looks more Tholian to me, too mechanical.

I like the art for the starship, with the all the tentacles growing out of it and taking over the hull.

I don't like the ground version. It doesn't look organic enough. I am thinking of something like the Ithkul from Master of Orion 3:

The Undine don't need or use spacesuits...

Not sure why Star Fleet would design one to begin with...?

People are demanding japanese anime outfits in the 'Art of Star Trek Online' section of the forums and now you want some giant space tentacle in your ship. I see where this is going.

Reminds me far too much of XO-Manowar armor. Like a suit between the Commando and Manowar class.

If they ever do Undine STFs then the armor should just be what we have now.
    I.E Omega / MACO / Honor

It is going to be extremely annoying to have one set for Borg and one set for Undine and it really makes no sense. The whole point of the Omega Taskforce is to be a group fighting the Borg AND the Undine.

As for artwork - I would rather not have a ship look like it has contracted an TRIBBLE from unprotected combat with the Undine.

I suppose in theory they could expand the existing sets into MK XIII which combines Borg technology AND Undine into a wierd kitbash of Borg and Undine textures.

Aren't we supposed to be trying to Stop the Borg from assimilating an Undine in one of the missions?

Why the heck would Star Fleet purposely try to do that?

Posting these somewhat random images of the internet was more to get the imagination triggered.

For the space set I was thinking have it similar to the second Borg or Romulan set (Weapon based).
You can have Organic Armour (High Energy Absorbtion), Undine Energy Beam Weapon (High Shield Penetration), and Organic Plasma Conduit (Beam Recharge Bonus).
The specail abilities could go 'Hull Regrowth' (Hull Regeneration similar to Reverse Shield Polarity) and then 'Planet Cracker' (Combine your Energy Beam Weapon with other ships nearby with the same console 10,000 Damage).
Plus theres the 30% extra Damage vs Borg! BOOM! lol

Having to deal with Assimilated Undine is much more difficult than Borg or Undine. Also, there is the issue that some members of Starfleet want to open up diplomatic relationships with the Undine so saving a bunch of Undine from assimilation will certainly help.

I spy with my little eye; something that looks vaguely pornographic.

All jest aside, that looks more like something from an EVA suit mission or an STF rather than something I would choose to cart around on my ship.

What exactly is your point ?

Yes, we stop the Borg from Assimilating the Undine
Yes, the Borg gaining access to Undine technology is not a good thing
    ...

Nothing stops the Omega Taskforce from ripping off Undine technology. They already do it with Borg technology inorder to help fight the Borg better. If they do it with Borg tech, why wouldnt they do it with Undine ?

"There is power in control, there is wisdom in harnessing the strengths of your enemy."

Ripping off Undine technology would make fighting the Borg easier so its a no-brainer why they would do it.

As for combining Anti-Borg and Anti-Undine gear into a single STF Endgame set - Do you really want to have an inventory full of sets that you have to switch out every time you face off against the specific enemy the set is made for ?

If Cryptic actually demonstrate even a bit of creativity they will expand the STF selection beyond the Borg. In which case... those MACO / OMEGA / HONOR sets with the Borg specifc bonuses are kinda wasted.

The ship armor looks like some giant space organism decided to barf on a ship.

The ground armor looks too form fitting.

An Undine set for both Space and Ground would be fun if there were Undine STFs and Undine fleet actions in the game. But otherwise the visuals look awful and the Undine faction is not that much in any STO storylines so the Devs probably won't do it.

I like the starship art but it needs to be toned down like the Borg set is. It would good as a NPC event starship you encounter in a mission but not for a player.

The armour looks cool but it all looks the same like Snake Eyes in GI Joe movies, or Crysis.

Texture wise any Undine is far better off being limited like most of the sets ingame. The only major thing I can really see happening is a new ship material being available that makes the hull look like it is a turtle shell. I suppose it would be Undine equivelent of the Intrepid Armor Generator.

That said, texture wise the sets are largely irrelevant. Its the actual stats and bonuses they give that matter the most.

Alternatively, an Undine Set could be used to 'Cloak' the ship to look like another. Which is what happened in Terradome.
