Cryptic should outsource patching and maintenance:P
Ezri is a boy sick people:mad:
I think I understand your confusion.
You see, sometimes boys have long hair, and sometimes girls have short hair. Whether they're a boy or a girl actually has to do with the body parts between their legs. Have your parents explain it when you hit puberty.
(leaving the fact aside that if she was a boy, so what. ;p )
How did this happen? Did you fall asleep intoxicated and woke up married?
He's saying STO distracts him from his wife. I can relate. My wife is super cool and lets me take time to play STO, but I still struggle to balance my time.
It was a funny and all-too-relatable joke
Not wishing to complain but you are a hour late now... come on Cryptic, why not just say you will be down for 3 hours rather then two and finish it early so that people are not kept waiting.
Hey guys your event is supposed to starting in 9 minutes. Were you planning on getting to the deadline? I was planning on being present for the festivities and whatever. So I recommend you reach the deadline because I don't plan on waiting any longer. Get the damned testing done. Turn the damned server on and let us in the game. This is not the time to do your tests. If you need to do it this bad do it some other time.
Completely serious. The Oberth and Ambassador are my two favorite ships. I have a Sci captain that I pretty much am planning on attempting to make Admiral with using only the Oberth.
Doesn't work that well. Doesn't take long before you're better off in a shuttle because of how poorly it scales.
Well, the problem is that something was broken, mainly earlier in the week when the launcher kept failing for a large swathe of the player base. They're working to prevent that from happening again. Honestly, I see no reason why folks can't wait a few more hours to play a game they don't have to pay for in the first place, to make certain a problem that has been cropping up is resolved.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. People just have to be patient, and I say that as somebody who has been itching like mad to play the Ambassador class since the game launched.
But they've had all morning to perform this maintainence. If anyone is in the same boat as me, they'll be angry not because Cryptic are fixing the problem but that they randomly decided to extend their maintainence with little warning. And on today of all days.
Surely it would have made sense to test all this and perform this maintainence on Monday, when the problem first manifested and they were forced to perform maintainance. Sure, that would have meant that the servers would have been down longer on Monday, but we might also have only needed one period of downtime, instead of the two we've been given.
You're just a machine. And machines can be broken.
Ezri's problem was they tried to fit too much into her in just one season.
The last season of DS9 had such a high focus on Ezri that she just ended up feeling garbled and all over the map. If her episodes had been stretched out over 2-3 seasons she woudn't seem nearly as neurotic as she did.
Edit: And LOL, nerd rage... People will shout how badly the game sucks while whining incessently about not being able to play it...
I once again match my character. Behold the power of PINK!
People complain when preventative measures are taken to ensure bugs don't return.

People complain because when there is an outage the same bugs that have existed for years are not fixed and they complain that there are no preventive measures to ensure bugs return.

Oh, I do understand the frustration, I'm just a little more lenient because I deal with stuff like this on a daily basis, and even as people complain about being compensated a thousand zen a day (yeesh), the tech guys are likely working their fingers like crazy to get everything up and running, and I have lots of sympathy for that.
Plus, as I said, it's only a few hours for an event that is lasting two weeks. There's no significant loss here.

Hey, you like the Oberth class, too?! Neat!
Just something to pass the time... trekkie parody style

I'll have to see. I can be stubborn.
I want to add some hilarity by showing up to PvP in an Oberth, just for craps and giggles.
I really really don't like you now...

Can you read the big red text at the top of the page?
happy 3 year anniversary:D
i hope you guys fix this soon:D
No one can
Good point. I think my runabout is more resilient than my Oberth. Still, love it anyway.

I've better D'deridex Battleships in an NX Escort. I imagine the Oberth wouldn't be much different.
