I hate it when my supermarket puts stuff on sale. Particularly if it's something that I frequently use.
Even worse when they lower prices on stuff I buy. Hate it when they do that.
Yeah. No.
Also: I'd seriously have assumed nobody bought those things at that price, with them dropping freely and regularly, and being on the exchange for 15k a pop. I'd say this has drawn their cost-value ratio more into a proper perspective.
CONFIRM...Yes...But when I see a ship available in cstore, you would think that it is reclaimable. The two I mentioned are not.
I ADMITTED I made a mistake, I am not just idly complaining. It'd be nice if they admitted that they did as well. Expanding to a ship slot total that accomodates all the ships they are selling makes a lot of sense, and alleviates this issue altogether. Or make them ALL reclaimable.
before you say I made a mistake, well I ADMITTED it right off the bat. And my posting it is to actually inform anyone that MIGHT make the same mistake I have. TWICE.
I can tell you right now that the defiant retrofit is reclaimable, because I have it, and I've done it. If you didn't use a VA ship token as Branflakes speculated, then I'd bug it, because that's not WAI.
(edit: Actually, the bug interface in game seems fairly useless, so I'd take it to the support forum or something, but you get my meaning)
Enough. I used tokens to buy them I am told. Okay, I guess then I just wasted them. I still made the mistake. A shame it is still possible to do so. I guess I should be happy that I can get them from the store...For only 4000 zen.
But...If they are worth that amount, then that's the value of what I deleted...So I DID lose that implied amount, because to replace them due to my mistake, I would have to lay out that total. And since it is POSSIBLE to make the mistake, by my error in believing that all stores in cstore are reclaimable, and since I HAD said ship I figured I had bought it (with having most every ship I DO tend to forget which was acquired how,) and I deleted it. Them, there were two.
So just because you see a ship in store and you have it already, doesn't mean you can delete it. Good to know. It would be nice if there was an icon that stated such, that it isn't reclaimable.
The Borg can now adapt to Plasma Fire applied by Plasma procs and Plasma grenades.
Can you elaborate, is that only for ground or are space borg also included. Because if they are, I've spend an ungodly amount of dil to fit 2 ships with romulan everything and I will not be happy about it. If its only ground, well its on par with all others weapons.
Jamal : Tactical space specialist. USS Bug Warrior and many others
E'Mc2 : Science Reman torp T'Varo, deadly annoyance :P
Kunmal: Tactical fed Klingon, ground specialist, USS Kanewaga

I didn't think a change would come so soon but thanks to some talented foundry authors who want to cleanse the library of anything NOT one of their fanfic holonovels the purge has started.

Since space borg don't adapt to anything, It is just for the ground.
can someone please explain to me why it says, STO Updater can not connect to internet? I have tried a half a dozen times to connect to see if the server is up yet, but it is not even allowing my game to connect to the internet.
And for those that would say well maybe you have no connection, Obviously i do, or i could not post here.

Since I can't connect to it either, I assume they have the actual patch server down, so you will not be able to see if its up yet or not through the launcher.
Though since we're only a little over an hour through a two hour patch, I wouldn't expect it to finish early.

Mine does same thing. Maybe this is what Brandon said earlier about the launcher being tested. It probably has some TRIBBLE, when you factor in how often the devs whip it out to...now how can I word this...actually I think everyone knows what's implied and how an TRIBBLE is transmitted...Yeah, that's good enough.

(raise eyebrow) It follows, if you can't reclaim the ships, that a VA ship token does -not-, in fact, carry the same value as a zen store unlock. The fact that you percieved it as such is your own assumption. Every other ship token in the course of the game progression is good for exactly -one- free ship. If I spend my lt.com. ship token on a connie refit, and then delete it, It costs -dilithium- to replace. This is true for all ship tokens.
If you had paid 2000 zen for each ship token, then yeah, I'd agree that you've been shortchanged. But you didn't. You got it, along with other benefits, as part of your subscription, if I recall where such things come from.
I wouldn't disagree that an icon indicating that you can't reclaim the ship would be good, but just because that isn't there doesn't mean they owe you an unlock you didn't pay for.
Edit: (Note: This doesn't mean I don't feel bad for you losing a ship you meant to keep. That sucks. I just think it's an unfortunate mistake rather than the game makers treating you unfairly)
For the fourth or so time...I made a mistake. Twice. Okay, granted.
Why? Because I assumed (you are right) that any ship on the store is reclaimable if you already have it. And to be QUITE honest, that is what most people take from it at first glance.
It isn't TOO hard to imagine that if you have a ship, and it is on the store, then you might delete it thinking you can get it back. it isn't too hard a stretch.
Do they OWE it to me? Nah. I won't see it even if they DID. But I don't see an issue with an object lesson that saves someone from making same mistake.
Point is, it'd be nice if they could...protect me from myself I guess is the way to put it.
Yup, I didn't pay attention and cannot remember from over a year ago how I got those ships. My bad. I just deleted them to make room for (gasp) the new ships I DID pay money for. And I HAD to delete some, because there is LIMITED space for the ship slots, even when you pay MONEY to expand...It isn't sufficient to accomodate all that they have available.
It must be my fault because I spent cash on the other ships and filled up my slots. I mean, who actually has all the ships? I must be the ONLY one, this has never happened to anyone else.
It's not their job to protect customers from their own stupidity. Sad that people seem to be so entitled now that they think they deserve something that costs money because they messed up something they got for free. But I guess that's what's become of most "customers" these days.
Ok let's play one of my favorite downtime games. Let's hear some wagers on predictions for when the servers go back up. I say 10 minutes short of the two hour eta. Anyone else?
I think Cryptic has enough fail safes in place already. As mentioned previously it is your responcibility to acknowledge the deletion of the ship. If you did and went through the process of typing the name and proceeded, well....
As far as number of ship slots, okay, if you wanted to pay even more money so you can have the entire ship roster in place with ships that aren't doing anything. Make sure you get all the small craft too. You can only pilot one at a time.
As far as even having boxes on the C-store, I don't see the point. Cryptic should just have a random lottery either ingame or the C-store as buying boxes is pointless as I have 150+ boxes in my bank at the moment. I'm going to start a Minecraft game in STO soon.

Said NO to Arc. Gets punished by not being given a free outfit, free lobi, and free shuttle. Now forced to use Arc's site when trying to get to STO site. Still not rewards for beta testing the Arc website by force. Bravo Cryptic.
@Branflakes : why does it say "Server Status: UP" on the sto site when it is not ? , just wondering why it does not say down for maintinance . i know it says it is down at the top of the page in the red box but also says it is up to the right a little lower lol :P
If I'm reading the stats correctly Ambassodor Refit (Ent-C) is similar to the Assault Cruiser/Sovereign Class (Ent-E). The Most Noticeable is the BOFF Slots.

Am I the only one to see, the reduction in price and mandated purchase of 20 at a time Dominion Lockboxes has nothing to do with dilithium, this is effectively free (save for time it takes to earn and refine it)
It is everything to do with master keys, which all, ultimately cost zen and thus $$$

Teir 3 is the ships you get at Capitan, right?
Teir 5 is the level 50 stuff?

Tier 1 is Ensign and Lieutenant
Tier 2 is Lieutenant Commander
Tier 3 is Commander
Tier 4 is Captain
Tier 5 is Admiral
Tier 3 are Commander level ships.
Tier 5 are Rear Admiral level ships and up.
Hope that helps
Only some. If you delete something like a bonus ship as part of a package, you cannot reclaim it.

Are you talking about ships like the Steam Runner in the "Steam" package?
You can still reclaim those type of ships from the ship requisition station.
Afaik, the only ships you cannot reclaim are the free ships like the Odyssey, breen ship and lockbox ships.

More boxes out there, means more keys sold
