Often I lose the ability to turn my ship in STF's. Like my ship lost its rudder. Anyone else have this problem? It's happened on two different computers and several different ships.

Yes... I find that it happens mostly when I first come back from being destroyed.

I've also found that it's usually because you have a Target 'Locked-in'...,

... if you clear it, you'll get your steering back.

Just get used to pressing Esc when it happens. Clears it right up.

If breaking the target lock doesn't work, you have to wait for the Gate or Tac Cube you were destroyed by to be destroyed.

This happens a lot. (too much)

I just type in, "Steering Gear Disabled!" into team chat.

I just spam my Left Click and Right Click at the same time. It works.

I use to have the same exact problem until someone in game told me what's going on and how to fix it. Like others have said, press the ESC key a few times. I got into the habit that when I die I turn my throttle off and when I resurrect I press the ESC key until I bring up the game options then press it once more to go back to the game. Haven't had a problem since. Sometimes it can take about 5 or so key presses to clear it. (If you don't know where the ESC key is, it's usually on the top left of the keyboard to the left of all the F keys by itself.)

I seem to have this problem after every death. After respawning my ship just yaws to one side.

Usually a quick right click or two resolves it.
