Ultra Rare Carrier Pets

According to STO Wiki you can get Ultra Rare Carrier Pets at your fleet Star base once it has some kind of communications Array.

Unfortunately it doesn't say how these pets are different from rare and very rare pets. Does anyone know anything about these pets?

Sadly we have never been giving a chance to see what they are like and as it is harder for KDFs to level up a star base do to lack of a highly active group.

The first true very rare will be out with the scorpion fighter on the Romulan rep but I don't know anyone how has gotten one yet.

If someone is at tier 5 Romulan can you post up what the mission costs to get that fighter?

It is Tier 5 Communications Array. So what is different between the ultra rare carrier pets and the others is only evident in the Scorpion Fighter since only the devs know which pets are available and what the stats are for the others. The rare scorpion has Plasma Pulse Cannons and Plasma Torpedoes. The very rare scorpion has Plasma Pulse Cannons, Dual Plasma Cannons, and Plasma Torpedoes. The Ultra-Rare Scorpion has Plasma Turret, Dual Plasma Cannons, Plasma Torpedoes, and Torpedo High Yield. Basically the way that these are different from rare and very rare is that they have an extra skill, weapon, or buff over the others.

Don't have the info for that. Got that info from a picture under STO Discussion about Romulan Reputation. The image is here. Will know that information later this week.

My Slavers seem to have no problem dodging plasma torpedoes most of the time.

If I have to guess then I'm betting my Slavers at the Fleet level will be either able to steal something new, like fleet marks and or beam over load or one of the mine powers. This is just a guess based on the ultra rare socropian fighters.

If they can dodge them that would be great but even if you kill themselves they will still be doing more DSP than the lower quality fighter.

I have the very rare scorpions - very nice. Three weapons, plasma beam, cannons and plasma torpedoes.

    Bloody expensive, but worth it.

The DPS is substantially higher than the advanced peregrines, delta and even my runabouts.

    This sounds great :)

I hope there will be some Ultra Rare Bird of Prey to go with my Fleet Vo'Quv :D

It should only take me about a year to get there

Does anyone know how to apply for Fleet membership to Jupiter Force (KDF) ?

I'm so tired of logging on to my KDF main and finding that I'm the only player in the fleet that's on and when someone does log on they're only there to do something quick and then go right back to their Fed toon.

    The Ultra-rare scorpions cost

    240 rom marks
    35K dil
    10 eng/ops DOFF
    64k expertise
    5 peregrine
    30 warp coils

The elite scorpion fighters can manage 3k+ dps per hanger, they're incredible. When fleets start unlocking elite BoPs, the Borg are going to have a bad time.

When going from rare BoP to very rare BoP one goes from the B'rel to the B'roth, so I imagine that the Ultra Rare will be another more powerful BoP like a B'rel refit, or QuDun or whatever its called.

I wish they gave all the stats like dps for all the pet carriers, I'd love to know what the DSP is for my Slavers and Interceptors.

And totally worth it. These fighters are absolutely nasty in STF's and anywhere else I've tried them out.

Also pssst, the project says they require RARE (blue) eng/ops DOFFs, but currently are only accepting commons. Expect it to get fixed.

Yeah, killing themselves with the warp core breaches of my enemies!

I wonder what Ultra-Rare Yellowstone Runabouts will have? Tractor Beam III and Torp Spread I for their Chronitons? :D

My KDF character is in a fairly large fleet, too, so I should be buying Ultra-Rare Birds of Prey in a couple of months. An upgrade to heavy cannons with CRF3 and HY3, maybe? I can hardly wait to see.

Actually doesn't the Federation have a bunch of Fleets with greater numbers further along?

Does anyone know what the federation's Ultra Rare fighters are like?

This is entirely speculation, I have noticed that the Fleet Reinforcement versions of some of the hangar craft exist and seem to follow the pattern of the advanced to elite pattern established by the Elite Scorpions.

This info is pulled from the Fleet Reinforcements and I think it is very likely that these how the Elite hangars will be like.

    Elite/Fleet Peregrine:
    -Phaser Turret
    -Phaser Dual Cannons
    -Quantum Torpedo Launcher
    -Cannon: Rapid Fire I

    Elite Stalkers/Fleet Caitian Fighters:
    -Tetryon Pulse Cannon
    -Tetryon Dual Cannons
    -Thoron Torpedo Launcher
    -Cloaking Device

    Elite/Fleet To'Duj:
    -Disruptor Turret
    -Disruptor Dual Cannons
    -Quantum Torpedo Launcher
    -Cannon: Rapid Fire I

    Elite Orion Interceptors/Fleet Orion Fighters:
    -Disruptor Pulse Cannon
    -Chroniton Torpedo Launcher
    -Tractor Beam
    -Extremely fast flight speed

I reiterate that is only speculation, but it fits the pattern of the new level of fighter getting a new or upgraded weapon and an ability.

Very rare Orion pets...will they also be able to steal Strange Alien Artifacts? :D That would be nice.

Anyway, I won't spend 70k Dilithium just to get an improved version, I've better stuff to buy with that amount.

Flights of 3 fighters with a quick relaunch time and these abilities? Oh I'm sure this is going to go over REAL well with the PVP crowd.

I'm not really impressed, to be honest. Pets do terrible damage with their energy weapons because they run very low power levels, so most of their damage comes from torpedo spam... Hence changing photon to quantum is a downgrade, because quantum torpedoes have lower DPS. I guess it's possible that they could crank up the torpedo damage like they did for Vo'quv's birds of prey (B'rolth does 10K damage with a quantum torpedo), but I haven't seen that happening in small fighters.

This would be a much better pet with a photon torpedo launcher and High Yield.

As it is... I'm thinking stick with the Uber-Scorps.

    Again, pure speculation:

    Elite Peregrine/To'duj:
    • Dual cannons
    • Turret (in place of the pulse cannon)
    • Quantum torpedoes
    • Torpedo High Yield 1

That's basically the same as the Elite Scorpions.

    Elite Runabout:
    • Dual Beam Bank
    • Beam Array
    • Chroniton torpedoes
    • Tractor Beam 3
    • Target Subsystem: Engines 1

    Elite Delta Flyer:
    • Dual Beam Bank
    • Beam Array
    • Transphasic torpedoes
    • Tachyon Beam 3
    • Target Subsystem: Shields 1

    Type 12 Shuttlecraft:
    • Dual Beam Bank
    • Beam Array
    • Beam Overload 1

    Elite Bird-of-Prey Retrofit:
    • Dual Cannons
    • Turret
    • Quantum torpedoes
    • Cannon Rapid Fire 3
    • Torpedo High Yield 3
    • Attack Pattern Alpha 1
    • Battle Cloak

That Elite BOP would be crazy OP (I love it)

When it comes to Hanger Support Craft all we have currently is a bunch of single target attackers.

I'd like to see some AOE variant Hanger Support Craft that we can mix and match our Hanger load outs up with.

    Example:

    Ultra Rare Bird of Prey

    Disruptor Dual Cannons

    Disruptor Turret

    Cannon Scatter Volley 2

    Torpedo Spread 2

    Attack Pattern Delta 1

Could you imagine having 2 BOP that are focused on dealing heavy damage to a single target and 2 BOP that are focused on hitting everything in their firing arc on the same squad?

I'd love to have level 3 skills on my Hanger Support Craft but I feel they would become way OP.

I'm crushing targets with ease using proper timing with my ABOP and they only have HY2 and RF2; could you imagine what would happen if we had BOP that had HY3 and RF3

I took at look at the hull on my Advanced Slavers 2809 hull points compared to 2019 hull on my normal slavers. I've noticed they can survive some agrro for a short time. I've seen them all sparky.
