In the premiere episode of "On Screen!", Whit and I discuss Q's Winter Wonderland and the Feature Episode reruns. Before ending their subspace communique, they also give viewers a few teasers as to what the STO team has in store for the first half of 2013.

I like it. Even though most of it is old news, it's still nice to see you guys talking to us outside the forums.

Have you got a name picked out for Season 8 yet? (j/k)

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

Not bad. The both of you looked comfortable sharing game news with us. I look forward to the next one in first quarter of 2013.

Another free starship with a Featured Episode for the 3 year; Cryptic you guys are the best. Also I liked the Video. Finally found out how to pronounce those little creatures. Also the visuals showing the events helps to reinforce what you are talking about are nice. Will definitely watch more of these; "On-Screens" in the future.

So its like the Email newsletter? Comes out two weeks after the new stuff is released and tells us exactly what we already know?

Good effort though, interesting to see or hear a face and voice behind the user name.

Nice video. I would suggest that Whit needs her mic turned up, or to project her voice more. Found myself moving volume up and down between the two presenters as they talked.

    Excellent. :)

It's great to have something like this on the website, so potential new players have something to watch.

    Really well done, nice :)

And I would like to see them more often then quarterly, its really a nice format to introduce new things to the playerbase without having to listen to hours of podcasts or "amateurisch"filmed behind the scenes videos with lots of blahblah. Keep em coming

This is nice to see. Good first ep.

I would like to suggest if they are going to be quarterly, that they are a bit longer. This episode could have included more info about the PvP bootcamp, the foundry, changes to dilithium etc etc.

if they are going to be short i think once a month would be better, if you want quarterly then they need to contain a lot more information.

you could start breaking things into sections, so you have your latest news/foundry/hints of things to come. (this could be a sneak peak of game footage or screenshots.)

perhaps have a different dev on each time for a quick chat. this is something you can really move forward with and turn into something huge.

I didn't know such cute gurls (except Maria who gets paid for it) were actually actively playing STO and like Star Trek. Whitney or Kikii (what do you prefer?), do you now also work for Cryptic Studios or Purrfect World Entertainment? Or do you just live around the corner of their office, so you could actually do this show with Brandy? :)

Brandon, I must say, after all this correspondence over all this time, it's very nice to put a face and voice to the text!

A persons physical appearance has no impact on whether they like computer games or star trek.

that's just the media and society bringing over the stereotype that its only nerdy, unattractive men who like this kind of thing.

go to a convention and you will see every type of person from every walk of life.

Hmmm, it was ok. Might want to get the girl to speak up a bit or raise her mic volume.

Oh, and how about talking about stuff coming up rather than stuff we already know about ;)

Nice. Just a little constructive criticism - you might want to disable the auto-captioning feature in YouTube as the captions were somewhat... Babelfishy. ;)

    Good job.

Vacation? What is this strange word you speak of? You mean you actually stop doing your job and visit with family? What a sick joke. It's as if you all have some kind of holliday coming up. Oh, wait...

    Nice first ep but...

Please ignore the above feedback in its entirety! 10 minutes or less! I hate those 60-120 minutes of yammering endlessly to hear 1 dev say they are doing 1 new ability on one ship!

No, no, no, no to hours-long podcasts!

LESS THAN 10 MINUTES OR GTFO

    Please and thank you!
Delta Rising is the best expansion ever and the players love it! No, seriously! ...Why are you laughing so hard? :(

Strangely, they omitted the part about not getting any rewards upon completion of the snowman invasion. The raisin bran guy looked exactly like I pictured he would. At least the girl was easy on the eyes. As far as content goes: "Pardon us, but we have nothing to say."
