Red Alert lasts too long

  to me the red alert should only last when
  an enemy is with in your sensor range
  once target is out of range or dead red alert should
  go away.

  I think we should be able to turn on/off the red alert, like in startrek univers, the ship dont always have shield and weapons power and flying in space.
  that means if ur not in red alert ur ship doesnt have shield and cant fire .
