Breen warship build

I'm trying to make an authentic breen ship build. This is what I've decided on so far:

Weapons Fore:
breen transphasic cluster torpedo, rapid reload transphasic torpedo, 2x polaron DHC/cannons

Weapons Rear:
rapid reload transphasic torpedo, 3x polaron turrets

Obviously, I'll be using the breen space set, but I'm trying to figure out if 2 polaron DHCs or 2 polaron cannons as fore weapons would be more authentic. As for consoles and Boff powers, I'll probably figure that out when I get the ship, but anyone that already has the ship willing to give some advice in these regards would be very helpful.

Thank You

I don't know about authenticity, but I don't think that thing can reasonably wield two DHCs. I'd still pop on at least one single cannon for a bit more firing time.

Also, having the cluster torpedo on the front of your ship is only really viable if you fight with your enemies behind you (which I doubt you do considering the cannons).
The recharge time just cuts out so much damage potential in a fore slot.

I have the ship, but I wasn't going for authenticity when I built it, so I wont be much help there.

I'm running 3 Polaron DHCs for with a torp, and 3 Pol turrets aft with the borg cutting beam.

Considering the fact that it almost has the turn rate of my armitage, and might have equal when I use the breen engines, I think that DHCs could work fine. As for the cluster torpedo, I never had much experience with it, I'll do some testing with it, but would you recomend placing it in a rear weapon slot?

It turns barely slower than your average escort. Short of PvP, keeping on target is a piece of cake. The more DHC the better. In fact, to utliize its particular BO layout optimally, you'll want 4 DHCs on the front of it.

Well this is true- but thats because PvE is all against snail ships and the borg which might as well be structures.

I confess I'm not specced for it (as a sci) but the wells has the same turn rate and it can still take some doing to get a dual beam bank in range against some mobile enemies.

I know u say authentic, but the breen space set stats are NOT at all suited for this type of ship what so ever.

One of the worse stated sets in the game. Better off going with borg or Maco sets imo.

Such a damn shame that Cryptic hasn't announced some kind of buff or tweak to the Breen set to coincide with this new ship. Even some kind of synergy boost, like what the Jammie set gets when combined with the Bug would do.

Maybe they'll do it retroactively and make the Breen Set something OTHER than a joke.

Unfortunately after serious testing(authenticity-wise) with builds I've found that Breen set still sucks.. but like some have posted would like to see a buff for it with the Breen ship.. and again the cluster torp takes too long and not a viable strategy if you're loading cannons.. try the UN-authentic loadout and you'll be happy what ya went thru to get the ship

Fore: 2DHCs (i use Disruptor-but whatever u want obviously), 2 Torps( have used 2 Quantums or 2 Transphasics- your choice)

Aft: 3 Turrets, Borg Cutting Beam

knock it if you must but with the right set up (ala Torp Spread 3) will shred all Tholian ships parked in front of a captured ship(up to and including D'Deridex- scimitar no) and will destroy 1 probe and most of(if not) the 2nd in cure space) in one volley(with Quantums).. still running diff setups tho..
PVE- not PvP prob wont even use it in PvP cuz i have other ships for that..

Polarised disruptors might be a nice weapon set to use on this.

I'm currently using polaron cannons for mine, seems to be working out well.

Fore: Dual Polaron Beam Bank Mk XI, and three Polaron Dual Heavy Cannons Mk XI

Aft: 4 Polaron Turrets Mk XI

all with the associated tac consoles.

Authentic ships are torpedo boats focusing on forward torpedo arrays. Each of the 3 forward points on the ships normally a torpedo launcher. One way to do this is x2 Rapid fire Trans with x2 Trans Cluster.

If you're meaning authentic as being just like CPU Breen cruisers, you could go and watch one of the Breen cruisers in action and see what it uses. I don't have the Breen cruiser yet, but I plan on equipping the Breen set and the following weapons when I get it:
Fore: Polaron Beam Array, Polaron Dual Cannons, Rapid Reload Transphasic Torpedo, Transphasic Cluster Torpedo
Aft: Polaron Beam Array, 2 Polaron Turrets, and a rapid reload Transphasic torpedo.
But really, if you want your Breen ship to be as close to the CPU Breen cruiser as you can, go and watch the Breen cruiser in action, that should give you some ideas.

    Winning.
It's what I do. It's what I just did. It's what I'm about to do again. It's being undisputed emperor of an empire that cannot be disproved as the most powerful intergalactic empire in the entire universe; I always win, and everything I've won will definitely be won again... by me. It's my signature move, and thus, it's my signature. Problem, Sonic? Yeah, I mean you, Sonic, because you're being beat up, despite your being super. You can't even hit Shadow back, can you? Nope, he's too strong for you. Of course, I'm not Shadow, I'm the Super Emerald fueled fox that's pulling the strings; trust me, the fight would only be a few frames long if I were in it personally. Oh, and here's something for all you guys thinking you can win Last Post Wins 3.0; trust me, I'll be around a long while after the sun has already consumed the Earth while I sit out with the forum servers on Titan. Yes, I mean Titan... that comparatively little moon orbiting Saturn. It's a nice little place in a version of our solar system where the sun is a lot bigger. I mean, Mars will last longer than your precious Earth, but by then, it'll be one hot planet... and I figure Saturn's moon will be about the right temperate for a super-powered warlord. Oh, and trust me, I packed a lot of rings, and I mean a lot. Trillions, in fact, so I'll never run out of rings to power my super form. Besides, if I start to run out, I can just chaos control more rings into my reach. It's quite easy, really. You should try it. Granted, you'll never have the 7 Super Emeralds that I have in my possession, nor the Master Emerald that I've got hidden away somewhere... absorbed into my body thanks to Sonic logic, but whatever. I win. Again. I'm not kidding, either. Just check Last Post Wins, and if the last post isn't mine, it soon will be. Very, very soon. You can count on it. Seriously. By the way, if you're wondering, there's a really great Super Tails sprite sheet out there... somewhere... by some guy named shadow_91. These sprites are really great. Like, really good. Quality. Just like what I like to see in a sprite sheet. Also, credit to Joe T.E., his Sonic Battle style Super Sonic sprites have a great palette for a Super Sonic being beat up by Super Shadow, who's palette is from a Super Shadow sheet of unknown origin, but it turns out they were "borrowed" from a better sheet made by a certain Domenico. Oh, and the gif is actually a custom made super version of a similar gif, of which there are only 3 or 4 copies to be found by Google, and even then, evidently of an unknown source. Yep, it's one of those things. Stuff people have made, spread around, only for it to vanish and you to be the only person who still has a copy, not even knowing where it came from... like, literally at all. Oh, and anyone notice that Shadow's little chaos snap blast thingies are red and blue now? Yeah, I changed it. Problem, fans of purple? Yeah, I know you got a problem with that one, but you can just deal with it. After all, according to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly... alright, alright, I'll spare you the entire Bee Movie script, just Google it if you want. By the way, ever wonder how your characters would've ended up if they evolved in another universe? Yeah, that. Think about it. Ok, so you probably didn't bother reading up to here, but whatever, here's a surprise for you guys over at ESD (RP) who were crazy enough to read this: Emperor Nat of the mcfreakin' Terran Empire is gonna be right all along! The universe is gonna go BOOM! *Thumbs up to the insanity*
Oh, now don't tell me you want in on all this! Well, ok. Look this that Egg Pawn hanging outside your window, pointing his laser rifle at you, waiting for my next order. He's doing his part. He helps conquer the weak-minded. He roboticizes the weak-bodied. Heck, he even helps keep the useless people from causing any trouble, but you know what? Join. Find the closest Nataran Empire roboticization center near you and join the ranks, before the ranks find you. Oh, I know, you figure it must be so satisfying to know I basically rule the world now, and you know what? It is, but do you want to know the true definition of satisfaction? Well, let me tell you a little story. One day, you see a brand new event. They're giving out boxes that give old event stuff. Your dilithium is plentiful. You buy a whole lot of Phoenix packs on your main, and open them all. You get one epic token. Then, you decide, that since you have all the Breen ships and don't give a damn about the others, you exchange it for an ultra rare, and grab yourself a Jem'Hadar Attack Ship and for the hell of it, a Voth Bulwark. You open both, leaving the Bulwark in your vast masses of starships as you jump into the bugship and deck it out, deck by deck, into the most awesome Jem'Hadar ship you can. You fly it. You enjoy it. Eventually, you get bored and leave, leaving the old Bulwark never flown... until later. Your main is long complete. Your new alt main, based off some character you pulled out of nothing just to explain away some starship being in service without the command of your dear admiral, is also complete. Mostly. Their reps and doffs are hard at work, getting you stuff. You realize the potential, and head back for your dear admiral, pull the most Voth themed build you can out of thin air, and suit up in your giant ship in the shape of you know what. You head out... and cause all sorts of havoc. Enemies scream out your name as their very life is drained away by your swarms of Aceton Assimilators. They complain to the devs of your OPness when you revive yourself from death every time you die. Do you show any form of mercy? No. After all, this isn't the United Federation of Planets, this is mother frakkin' Starfleet, where you explore strange new worlds and kick butt never kicked before. Oh, and you realize that I just wrote another speech rivaling your own signature. Cool. Oh, wait, that's just the original draft, it is part of my signature now. Oh, and yes, I am aware that I have become a Canadian Regent; one day, sooner than you'd expect, we'll suddenly decide to take over the world and declare an "alliance", and I shall become it's Regent. You know, like the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance in the mirror universe of our beloved Star Trek. Oh, who'll we be taking over with? I dunno, maybe [REDACTED], or maybe aliens from outer space. Guess you'll have to wait and find out, won't we? Until then, don't ask too many questions, or else my Breen allies on Titania might pick up on your -- [REDACTED BY BREEN CONFEDERACY FOR REASONS] Also, psst... keep an eye out for flying Tribbles! Also walls. Big, great walls, separating entire continents apart. Walls patrolled by Tribbles. Flying Tribbles. Flying Nukara Tribbles. Don't worry, it's not like they were on Venus with a herd of Tholians or anything, they just like the extreme heat and brutal weather like acid rain and hurricane force winds as the norm. Oh, and definitely keep your eye out on any two-tailed foxes, because if they ain't glowing, they're definitely an imposter. Possibly an Undine, we caught one of those once in my place once. Oh, and if you find a two-tailed fox that doesn't like the cold... most certainly ask him to say sorry. If he refuses, DESTROY HIM WITH A DOOMSDAY MACHINE, BECAUSE THERE'S NOTHING ELSE THAT WOULD BE ENOUGH AGAINST SUCH AN OVERPOWERED IMPOSTER!

tr;dr, I am winning last post wins 3.0. Thank you for your time.

I don't have the Breen Warship yet, but I can tell you what I plan to be using.

Equipment: Borg Deflector, Borg Engines, MACO Shield

    Weapons:
(Forward): 2xDisruptor Cannons & 2xDisruptor Dual Heavy Cannons or 3xDisruptor Dual Heavy Cannons & MACO Torpedo Launcher (really depends on how agile the ship feels, if it feels sluggish I'll go with the first set up to increase my forward arc)
(Aft): 3xDisruptor Turrets, Borg Cutting Beam

    Consoles:
(Engineering): Neutronium, Assimilated, Tachyokinetic or Zero-Point if I get the Experimental Romulan Beam.
    (Science): Energy Dissipator, 2xField Generators
    (Tactical): 4xDisruptor Coils

May also try the romulan plasma weapons instead of the disruptors, depends if i like the Experimental Romulan Beam or not.

Agreed that the Breen set should have a special associated with loading it on the Breen cruiser, but I was also thinking that since the Breen were allied with the Dominion (later in the war even than the Cardassians) shouldn't the Breen cruiser also get the same effect from the Jem set as the Galor and the bug?
    [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
My guess is "hope" keeps people not playing but posting on the forums. For others, its a path of sad realization and closure. Grieving takes time. The worst "haters" here love the game, or did at some point.

I have the ship and seriously do not use the breen set until it gets buffed for the ship(hopefully, there is evidence that states they will buff it)

mixed Borg set doesn't work on it that great, but its workable(ur preference)
what came with the ship was FORE: Dual polaron beam array, Dual cannon and two transphasic torps Aft: two more torps and a beam array..

It can run DHC's so use em (unless you prefer whatever-not getting into DC's vs DHCs)
    This setup is working great:

KHG Set (Been swapping borg and omega too and mixing it up) i recommend the KHG or Omega deflector bc it has + power to Power Insulators if you're gonna equip the Energy Dissipator(obviously if you are FED then play with MACO
(esp if you;re spec'd with it)

FORE: 2x Polarized Disruptor DHCs MKII [Acc]x2, 2x Quantum Torps MKII [Acc]x3 (i have swaped two Transphasics in and they are fun for shield killers-up to you)

AFT: 3x Polarized Disruptor Turrest [Acc]x2 , Borg Cutting Beam

    Consoles:
ENG: Neutronium, Breen Dissipator, Tachyokinetic Converter
SCI: Field Gen , Borg Assimilated Mod, Plasmonic Leech(have swapped with Zero Point Energy conduit- or find a fed/any console you like)
TAC: obviously Disruptors or Quantum Zero Point or what ever you use

this build does great in all PVE, and decent in PvP(depending on ur BOFFs)

Breen set suck on this ship(and others) Authentic builds (is this ships case) just not workin(yet) IMO.

My KDF Klingon tac will be using his build from the Galor Class he currently flies. Those Spiral Wave Distuptors are quite dangerous in a Tac Captain's hand...

But for my Fed tac character, all Phasers. Too bad I can't load the Vesta Class Aux Phaser Cannons on it.

My Fed eng character will be on Anti-Proton with Chroniton torps. I have the Temporal set on the Steamrunner Class and I'm transferring it over.

    I have this so far:

    Breen Cruiser build

I have MK XII Borg Anti-Proton Beam arrays 1 fore, 1 aft
1 MK XII Borg Dual Beam Bank Anti-Proton
The entire Temporal Warfare set (since the Chroniton Dual Beam Bank uses Anti-Proton Mag Regulators)
Kinetic Cutting Beam and Assimilated Console
2 MK XII Fleet Chroniton torpedo launchers

The Breen ships never used transphasic torpedoes in DS9, and given how bad transphasic weapons are in the current patch, there's no point in trying to make a canon-style Breen ship when the two are not related.

Here's my current Breen warship set-up:

    -Full Borg Set
    -Forward Weapons: 1 AP DBB + 2 AP DHC's + 1 Romulan Hyper-Plasma Torpedo Launcher
-Aft Weapons: 3 AP turrets + 1 Kinetic Cutting Beam
-Consoles: 1 Tachyonkinetic Converter, 1 Rule 62 Combat Console, 1 Zero Point Energy Conduit, 1 Field Generator, 1 Borg Assimilater Universal Console, 1 Breen Energy Dampener, 4 AP Mag Regulators

    Ensign Universal: EPtS1
    Commander Tactical: TT1, CSV1, HYT3, AP-Beta3
    Lt.Tactical: TT1, CSV1
    Lt.Engineer: EPtS1, Aux2SIF1
    Lt.Cmdr Science: HE1, ST2, GravityWell1 (PVE) or TB1, ST2, HE3 (PVP)

The Hyper-Plasma Torpedo Launcher is mainly for STF boss-targets (its DPS is very good with stacked plasma fires), though for PVP I suggest going with faster, non-destructable torpedoes.

EDIT: I just found out that the Breen are known to use Disruptors. Looks like I'll be changing my Chel Grett's weapons again!

This might be as cool as the Galor! Can barely wait to get it and try it out!

I've had it for a while but only used it once or twice. I'm currently thinking about trying it again since I wasn't too impressed with it in the beginning, and transferring over a variation of one of my pve power drain builds.

the Breen set more then likely won't be buffed for use with the Chel, the set was designed to "Resist" the Breen, not buff them.

the Hadar set would make far more sense as it buffs polaron anyway, the deflector has the highest flowcap rating of any set deflector, and the shield at least has 10% resist all instead of just polaron (probably want a field gen).

baring that, run whatever you like/is effective, maco, HG, whatever :)

We have yet to know what's coming in the soon to be released "Dominion" lockbox....perhaps there is something coming we're unaware of.

    heres my go at it.
apparently particle generators buffs plasma DoT.. lol
just use the tractor beam, tachyon beam III and charged particle burst (which is buffed by particle generators) to strip your targets shields so you might get a lucky plasma torp hit on em to pop them, and build up dots on them too.

    Spec: http://www.stoacademy.com/tools/skillplanner/index.php?build=breendrains_0

    Fore: 1x Hargh'peng torpedo launcher
Fore: 1x Romulan Hyper-plasma Torpedo (romulan singularity set, 2 piece gives plasma dmg)
Fore: 1x Omega Plasma Torpedo (omega adapted set, 3 piece give reactive deflection)
Fore: 1x Rapid Reload Plasma Torpedo

    Aft: 1x Concentrated tachyon mines
Aft: 2x Polarized Disruptor Turret Mk XII [acc]x2 (this is just for the 15 second disruptor resistance debuff to target, and the random power drain polaron proc which is buffd by flow caps)
Aft: 1x Kinetic Cutting Beam (omega adapted set)

    Shield:
Breen Shield, M.A.C.O, or Elite Fleet Shields. or Klingon Honor Guard Shield

    Deflector:
Breen Deflector, Borg assimilated deflector or Klingon Honor Guard deflector

    Engine:
Breen Engine, Borg assimilated impulse or Klingon Honor Guard engine

    Engineering/Science consoles:

1x Zero point conduit (romulan singularity set) or just another flow capacitor
    1x Breen Console
1x Flow Capacitor Mk XII or Rule 62 console
1x Tachyokinetic Converter Console or just another flow capacitor

    Tactical consoles:

Shouldn't be too hard to make an authentic Chel Grett. Grind out some of the Dominion Polaron Cannons and Beam Arrays from the 1400 Feature Episodes. Get your breen set from the Breen FE's.

I also thought that the breen in game use regular transphasic torpedoes on their Chel Grets. I think the Rapid Fire Transphasic Torpedo launcher would best represent that. That's also in the Breen FE.

    Otherwise good luck.

I believe the Chel Grett is better than a Galor since it can mount DHC's and has the turn rate to use them well.

The Breen Energy Dampening weapon is also very nice against boss mobs and enemy players.

Canon Breen use disruptors. Transpahsic torpedoes were only used by Voyager in the series final episode. Breen have no real business using transphasics, but Cryptic decided to mash them together. As many saw, the results were quite messy.

Funny you should mention plasma -- I just reconfigured my Breen ship for full Mk XII [Acc] [CrtD] [CrtH] plasma weaponry after acquiring my 4th purple Mk XI tactical plasma console from Fleet Actions. So now my ship is using 2 Plasma DHC's + 1 Plasma DBB + Romulan Hyper-Plasma torp launcher front, and 3 plasma turrets + 1 cutting beam rear... all of this in anticipation of the Experimental Romulan Plasma Beam Array (has no listed weapon power drain).

BTW, you should position the Romulan Hyper-plasma torpedo launcher to the left of the Omega torpedo launcher. Otherwise it will not shoot consistently until you deplete all 5 charges from the Omega launcher.

I know people like to do things that make their builds feel "unique" (which it won't be, really I promise.) but not putting DHCs on a ship that can use DHCs and has Tac slots to utilize DHCs is just a mistake.

It has a base Turn rate of 13, and a Ltc Sci Boff station (i.e. slot a control power).

That's more than enough to make use of DHCs.
