If you take the special things, and give people access to them all the time, they're no longer special.

Can we at least get Q's Winter Wonderland in July:D

Please give us something to do at Andoria. As it is, their is no reason to go there at all.

I mean wow Cryptic/PWE, if I'm thinking too logically for you here to suggest the whole sheet of ice on an ice covered world.

But also, you guys worked hard on the animation for the snow boots on ice, it seems like a real shame to waste them. Plus the effort to get the snow weapons and to go into a mission and not be able to shot anything with them kind of caught me off guard. I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off to get out of combat to switch my weapons.

That's one way to look at it.

Another way to look at it is that our Andorian "social zone" is a winter wasteland. We'd like it to be at least a little bit special.

I don't think a frozen lake or other icy surfaces to slip and slide on is too much to ask for.

No, we don't need snowballs. And no, we definitely shouldn't have all of the magical Q stuff. Races would be fun, but we don't necessarily need those on Andoria either.

A good question to ask might be, "What would an Andorian do for fun?"

Sliding down those mountains on the Andorian equivalent of skis and sleds might be one answer.

not exactly : the way I see it the Andorian homeworld ( and Vulcan for that matter) are completely wasted opportunities to add substantial content . There's nothing there ....I'm seriously wondering what made the developers design a completely new zone ( although I don't dislike it ) while Andorian world, Vulcan etc. are left completely unused . I'm not even starting about all the worlds KDF side ( Gorn,Orion etc.)

Don't rest on your laurels, make more special things :o there's got to be something more you can do with low gravity environs, too :P

    Precisely.

Make the Winter Wonderland or its features available all the time and, guess what, it'll lose its 'fun' pretty fast. Part of the reason I go to the Winter Wonderland is because of its limited availability.

Speaking of making things available in the winter wonderland; I've been sitting on 5 Holiday Gift Receipts from last year's winter event. I had them but didn't know about them until after the event was over. I can't delete them or trade them so they just take up space in my bank. Is there plans to allow use to trade them in this year at the Winter Wonderland? I've brought them with me when Q sends my toon there but the vendor doesn't seem to be interested. I've also tried the GPL Converter next to him and zilch there too.

Not the WW itself, just a lake we can skate on. and maybe a few rivers....

We are not asking for all the special things. Simply a sheet of ice so we can have some skating. No snowballs, no launchers, no snowmen, no races. Just a simple little plain of ice. Doesn't even need rivers. Or the jump. Just a simple little oval would do.

The WWL would still be special, as it would be so much more. The tree jump for some insane air for starters. That doesn't need to be in the Andoria one. The WWL one could be larger as well. And I'm sure you'll be throwing in some more special items next year anyway.

Just my thoughts on it anyway. I'll keep skating around Q's lake as much as I can in the meantime.

Yeah, a ice lake on Andoria would be nice :-)

Thanks! When I searched last night this thread didn't come up. I've posted in it now and I see the ever attentive Brandon himself posted there. Thank you very much. :D
