Our promotional account linking period has ended and linking is now mandatory. If you have not linked your account yet, please read more for full details.

NOTE: If you are using a PWE account (which you are if you are able to post in the forums), no action is needed.

    Well, I knew this was coming sometime. I never actually had a Cryptic account to link though. I hope this doesn't cause more forum rage... well now that I think about it, that's nearly impossible since you'd still have to link your account to post on the forums.

    No I'm not... but the quote does ring in my head again whenever I think about the merging for some odd reason.

    After linking my accounts, I lost everything that was on my Cryptic account. Characters and ZEN points. Idk if that's supposed to happen, I emailed customer service.

    If that is the case, the linking process did not complete. Try signing into the launcher with your old Cryptic account and go through the linking process again :)

    I am unable to link my cryptic account as of this change because they seem to have disabled any mention of Cryptic accounts in the login menu. I assume this was a programming error.

    When I open the launcher, it just says 'log in with your account,' there's no Cryptic or PW option. After I hit 'Engage,' I only see the character from my PW account. When I hit 'back' to try to log in again, logging in with PW returns me to that same screen, logging in with Cryptic gives me an error message informing me that I must log in with PW account.

    I had both a PW and a Cryptic account. Logging in with my Cryptic info does not take me to a "Do you have a PW account' page because I have already linked the accounts. It just takes me to an 'incorrect log in info' page.

    Can you try logging into the game again and let me know if you are still experiencing the issue from this post? I have not done anything on our end, but everything I see states that you should be good to go when you log-in with the same information you are using on the forums.

    Following those instructions results in me logging in to Perfect World.

    I already did the steps needed to link the accounts and I am no longer given the option to link when I redo them.

    Everything looks good on our end. Can you please try logging into the game again using the same credentials you are using on the forums?

    Also, please note that we never delete any characters. If you have been gone for a while, your character may be in the back-up database. Logging in and out should restore your characters.

    Entering the info I use for the forums logs me into the game and shows me only what was on my PW account. When I enter my Cryptic info, it sends me to the link page, but when I try to link, it says the account has already been linked.

    Ah, okay. I think I understand now. You won't be able to link it to the same (this) PWE account if you already have/ have ever had characters on this PWE account (is that what you're saying?). You'd need to make a new PWE account to link that Cryptic account to.

    If you previously had a PWE account, and visited the STO site, it automatically made it a STO account as well, with no characters. Thus, since your PWE account is attached to a STO account, you can't link it with your Cryptic account.

    What you will have to do is file a support ticket, and get them to manually delete your STO account that's currently attached to your PWE account (the one with no characters on it), and then you'll be able to link it with your Cryptic one.

    This is what happened to me, as I made my PWE account and used it to post on the forums here, but didn't actually try to link it to my Cryptic account months later. I had to file the ticket, and it got fixed in a few days (I submitted the ticket on Friday evening, so the couple days was to wait for Monday to come around.)

    Or you can just make a new account and link it to that. I chose to go through support since I wanted all my PWE characters under the same account. Plus I already had Zen on my PWE account.

    I had a character on this PWE account, and characters on my Cryptic account. It sounds like it should then have been impossible to link them, but my Cryptic account is somehow linked to this account. I just made a new PWE to try to link my Cryptic to it, but it said the Cryptic account was already linked to another account.

    Does this mean the stuff I did on my Cryptic account is gone?

    Now that we can no longer use our Cryptic accounts to login, does that mean that the bug where the 'save account name' checkbox saves our Cryptic info will be done away with?

    Something is not adding up. Did you possibly link your Cryptic account to a different PWE account, and not this one? Customer service will need to take it from here, but we never delete characters, so they should be able to sort it out.

    That is possible. I've already contacted customer service. Thanks for the help.

    I have two accounts with characters on both both for muling and transport aka bridge inviting for doffing this one that is a pwe account made and now my main which is a cryptic account that is now locked. Do I go and try to link both if I mutilbox daily for doffing or keep them separate?

    Your not the only one having nothing to login to. It seems that cryptic and pw are not on the same page my link is forged and still nothing. Its like pw is not recieving the account info from cryptic correctly and thus and seems pw has no info to pass back cryptic is assuming its a new account in theory. Now boys we can work this out im sure but lets not be to wrapped up in a tangle for too long I put alot of hours into sto and have had friends gain interest into the game as well lets work the knots out with haste shall we. I know your smrt at these things.

    I want my account with the characters and the property back. And I want it now. I have a link to cryptic account PWE account and nothing is there. What the hell is this supposed to mean Osier people? you are not able to transfer a database without you everything what Reaching into spoiled and angry people so that you 3/4 of the game end? I hope I do not say that when the link Crypt PWE account and thus has the same connection name and password as you might otherwise

    Logging in to http://sto.perfectworld.com/ does not open the "do you have a perfect world account" box, it just goes straight to the web site so I cannot link my Cryptic account.

    I created an account here a while ago to be able to post on the forums but i always use my cryptic account to play STO. Logging in to STO the game with my PWE account shows an empty account with no characters.

    How do I link the Cryptic account to the PWE account this way? I would like to transfer my cryptic account which has my characters to the PWE account which is empty but still retaining my PWE account for keeping track of my forum posts. I do not want to make a new PWE account.

    Help please.

    Ps. Both this PWE account and my cryptic account use the same user name but are separate accounts. Can that be the cause of the PWE account not registering the cryptic account?

    Hi,

    I'm at work - followed the instructions online as I've never had a PWE account. Had the Cryptic one since beta.

    I followed the instructions to create a PWE account, but it didn't give me an option to link this to my Cryptic account specifically (not sure if this happened in the background automatically).

    When I tried to login this morning before work, I obviously couldn't because of the change (I should read the forums more often). My biggest concern at the moment, although my stats appear in the account, ie I can see my subscribed time, what features I have active etc...my ZEN has disappeared.

    I don't know if this is only showing ZEN at a PWE level (ie never purchased any through them) and that when I do login, I'll see the ZEN I had in game and through my recent purchase.

    Somewhat concerned with people seemingly having problems, so fingers crossed when I do get to login, everything will be alright.

    But if anyone can clarify that'd be great. I did a quick search, but couldn't see anything obvious.

    If you've come to the forums to complain about the AFK system, it's known to be bugged at the moment.

    what a mess you've caused you PW, was this any other MMO you'd be out of games industry permanently cause no fool would want to have anything to do with you!!!


    Not only you messed big time with season 7 launch which was months too early and full of bugs but it seems your account rubbish merger nonsense was another fiasco as if season 7 wasn't big enough clue that you're messing things up big time.


    i can see this game going downhill from now on as many players will leave in draws, you've lost half with launch of season 7, which at best is a fiasco, I personally consider it a con-man job, especially when it comes to conversion rates and many like me who never read your stupid forum were left out in a ditch not knowing what mess you're cooking next.

    CBS will hear of this, as I'll be defo contacting them now, and just in cause you think what CBS got to do with this, they are the guys that own the franchise, anything to do with the Star Trek, and you're ruining the name of Star Trek with your actions. Perpetual owns the engine, and I'm sure there are plenty of developers out there who would love to do star trek franchise and take over just in cause you think you are safe to rip off ppl the way you do...



    I'm beyond angry how I've been treated by you ppl, was this any other mmo.
