my recent experience with the resident n00bkiller, and this:

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y131/SG1fan1/brilliant.png those brilliant white clouds or whatever. I can't see which way I'm facing which is kinda like cheating, huh, PW?

A long time ago, I vowed to never spend another dime on anything intangible. Perfect World, you will never see any more money from me. I've already wasted $60 on you - money that could have gone toward stuff for my daughter's christmas.

And then, along come a-holes who want to ruin my gameplay fun by completely lambasting me over not being able to comprehend the shorthand of the community. Give me a wiki in plain friggin' english and I can wipe the quadrant with the lot of you. Put stuff in code, I'm chugging along best I can through trial and error or people explaining stuff to me.

I play for fun. I play because the world is beautiful. Not so much more than the outside world mind you. If that offends you, kindly kiss off.

All I want if to play and have fun. It's like Starfleet Command or Klingon Academy only bigger and broader. That's worth my $60. One-time payment for the game and I'm done. I can play whenever I like, just like the SFC CD-ROM.

I'll figure it out on my own.

I personally thought its in graphical issues, because the main point i gathered from the thread was there is a graphical problem in a romulan skirmish mission, i.e. the white 'tears' in space which eat frames per second :p (also appears in the borg red alerts)

I do kinda find a second point aimed at the player comunity/pvp comunity?, but its not explicitly expressed, i dont know what your unhappiness regards

If you mean there are people trolling you ingame, just add them to ignore, or if you get completely desperate, you can change the filters of chat (right click on the chat window) and remove public chat, but dont forget this is an MMO afterall MULTIPLAYER is important in the game :p

I'm sorry to hear about that :(

You just gotta ignore some of the ruder people in the forums, ill actually hold my hand up, I've been a bit rude in my own ways too, but that's the nature of the internet, keyboard warriors who dont understand/care its people that are on the opposite side of the monitor, which might hurt someone, alas, that's the situation through my eyes :|

but yeah, there are good people and bad people :p

The forum is filled with spazes sometimes. Ignore the idiots and play Trek, it's fun if you ignore the idiots.

As to your actual problem with the big white splotches.

It's a bug with the coding. They were meant to be nebulas to be added to the background to make the game look prettier.

Along the way however, the system decided it was a good idea to redraw the nebulas about one million times in the exact same spot. This in turn chews up video processing resources like nobody's business and makes it impossible to do very much in a zone that's affected.

The good news is, the devs are aware of this and have fixed about 60% of the zones with the problem. They're still in the works with identifying and removing the problem from the other 40%. It'll take time, but they'll get to them.

I hope they do. Red Alerts are one of my favorite things even after all this time (even more so since the dil changes and Omega marks etc), and that's where you find most of the surviving white blob nebula thingies.

I hope fixing those can become a priority again.
