    Nice wallpaper :), I browsed the rest of the wallpapers and could not see any other wallpaper of the cryptic ships other than the odyssey class, any chance we will see a wallpaper of the regent class, sau paulo etc?

    I am kinda curious as to who provided that Wallpaper, because it is one of the better ones I've seen so far. While ships are nice.. this one provides some really good eye candy. :D

    Yea, the wallpaper isn't just insulting to women, it's insulting to Star Trek. At least Orion slave girls are, you know, slave girls, so it kind of makes sense.

    I mean, who had that idea? Take a Vulcan, give her a phaser, then give her giant TRIBBLE, massive visible cleavage, a tiny mini-skirt aaannd...profit? Evan T'Paal had some self respect.

    Truely, this is the brave new egalitarian world of Trek. No thanks.

    Nothing against you personally, but I always wondered why people don't just go with the best quality available and be fine with it (as long as it's higher resolution than your screen). Larger wallpapers allways looked better on my screen (and you can allways resize, crop them, if you need).

    And on topic: Get rid of this monstrosity and please come up with an appealing and more realistic image (while fiction, trek was certainly more reality/science based than fantasy based-like this current background picture would imply).

    Meh. Cryptic would insult all Klingon players if they used a Federation starship instead. Heck, if they used a Tacical ship, they would insult the other career-lovers. For some people Cryptic IS the no-win scenario.

    I see her on the main page enough.

    This, Honestly, the current debate aside, I would love to have a wallpaper of the old image as well.

    I agree. If we get Miss "I'm in the middle of a firefight and Pon Far" gets a wallpaper, then in the name of equality, I want Mr. "Kirk shirt ripped this is my phaser and this is my gun" to have a wallpaper too.

    Or you know, Zapp Brannigan.

    This looks like someone turned a Champions artist loose on Star Trek. Which, I imagine, is what happened. It's just uncalled for, it's silly, and it doesn't match the aesthetic of the game at all, much less Trek.

    I think that's what really bugs me, it doesn't match the game. If this were on the front page of Everquest I doubt I'd bat an eye, but on the STO front page it's jarring.

    Seriously crappy piece of artwork gets made into a wallpaper because it's full of fanservice and TRIBBLE.

    No really, it's just bad artwork.

    Doesn't "look" vulcan at all. Looks like someone traced an Elf from some fantasy site.
    Is that running ? or Is that falling ?
    If it is running, then why is her hair blowing in the same direction she is running , and not behind her ?
    Oh , and of course, the whole she doesn't look where she fires thing.

    Seriously, it's a terrible piece of art. And you guys seem determined that it is our new frontpage for the forever time.

    Please PLEASE !!!!
    Consider putting many different images on rotation for the Front Page.

    Leave the Boobie Elf there for all the man children who want it, but rotate it with images that are more ... TREK in feel. Starships !! Other races that aren't pretty (tellerites, Bolians) ... something to show the KDF.

    Eh, I think the art is fine. If she was a super-hero or something she'd fit right in. If I had to critique I'd say the mouth is a bit gerber-baby-like, which makes it a creepy, and the stance is awkward. Is she looking at us? What's she shooting at? Why is she falling/floating down with her hair blowing sideways?

    But that's small stuff, overall I think the art is fine. It just doesn't fit.

    I like the background stuff though!

    That scene was groan-inducing when it originally aired. Those of us who are not teenage boys saw it for what it was -- a shameless, plot-bending attempt to bring sex into Star Trek -- to "appeal" to a new demographic.

    And even if you approve of that scene, T'Pol is NOT in combat, and not in uniform. She is in her underwear. And she never showed the kind of cleavage shown in this wallpaper while on duty.

    Disrespectful on many levels.

    Which is sad, because for any other IP, this artwork is beautiful and amazing.

    But as I wrote in another thread, inappropriate for any officer in the line of duty. Would it really have been that hard to release a version with her uniform closed? It's bad enough that she's depicted as a E cup. Must you show so much skin as well?
