Recommend a build for Steamrunner

Hello Folks!

I've recently picked up a the Steamrunner Escort and I was hoping somebody could recommend a build for me, I've been looking at the Patrol Escort as they seem pretty similar, I am a Engineer officer.

It has the following

x1Commander Tactical
x1Lt Commander Tactical
x2 Lt Commander Engineering
x1 Ensign Science

My play style is very much "Hit & Run" although any recommendations will certainly be appreciated, thank you for taking the time to read this :D

    I ran this til I switched over to the tac Vesta Class for my Joined Trill engineer... this is for Elite STFs.

    Ship Gear:
    MK XII MACO shield, MK XI Borg Engines & Deflector (Regen reasons)

    Fore Weapons:
    2 DHC MK XII purple Anti-Proton cannons, 1 MK XII purple Qtorp launcher (Borg Edition), 1 Wide Angle QTorp launcher (Or if you don't have it, try 1 MK XII purple Adv. Qtorp launcher)

    Aft Weapons:
    3 MK XII purple Borg turrets

    Devices:
    Red Matter Capacitor, Subspace Field Modulator

    Consoles:
    Tac- 4 MK XII blue Ani-Proton Mag Regulators
    Sci: MK XII blue Shield Emitter Array, Team Fortress Console (Or MK XII blue Shield Regen console)
    Eng: MK XI Neutronium Armor, Borg Console, Tachykinetic Console, Theta Radiation Console

    BOFF seating:

    CMD tac: TT1, APB1, HYT3, CRF3
    Lt. CMD tac: HYT1, TorpSpread 2, CRF2

    Ens Sci: PH1

    Lt. Eng: EPtS 1, Aux2SIF 1
    Lt. Eng: ET 1, EPtS 2 (DEM 1 is also viable if you have the skills for shields)

    With that Eng setup, it just seems like it wants either dual Aux2Bat + Technician DOFFs, dual EPTS2, or dual Aux2Struc + dual EPTS1. Make an absolute unkillable always-buffed extra-tanky escort out of it. The extra hull and shields just add to that. End up with almost cruiser-level toughness plus escort-level offense.

    For mine, I opted for the torpedo boat offensive. Cheap setup to see if I enjoy the fully kinetic combat style.
    All photons (quick reload) with mines and a torp at the back. Dispersal Pattern Beta III, then the usual High Yield and Tac Team skills.
    Science and Engineer boff's are setup for self repair and shield restore mostly.
    All power to Shields, then engines.

    Makes for very quick STF runs through eg. Khitomer, where the large stationary, and more importantly shiedless, targets are eliminated with much haste. Just as long as the rest of the team can take out the usual compliment of Spheres, probes, BoPs, etc

    Tempted to move onto Quantums or Tricobalts. Tried a similar setup in the past using an Escort Retrofit on my Borg Engineering alt, with a full Tricobalt setup. Critical 400k damage from 1 mine launch using Dispersal Pattern Beta III.

    Com. Tact - TT1 , Torp Spread 2 , C:SV 2 , Omega 3
    Lt.Com Tact - TT1, Torp Spread 2, C: SV 2
    Lt. Eng - EPTS1 , RSP
    Lt. Eng - EPTS1 , Aux2Struct1
    Ensign Sci - HE

    ( Tactical Team + RSP is delicious with low shields, get all facings to 100% pretty quick. )

    Tact Consoles is 2x MKXI purple Tetryon energy type, 2x Photon Torp MKXI Purp Consoles.

    Engineering consoles is 1x Bogr Universal, Antimatter Universal, Team Fortress, Zero Point universal

    Sci Consoles - All MKXI blue Shield capacity


    Weapon slots.

    Fore - 2x XI purple Tetryon DHC, 2x XII Fleet Photon torps
    Aft - 2x Tetryon Turrets XI purple, 1x Borg Cutting Beam

    I'm currently running(PvE/STF build):
    Commander Tac: TT1, APB1, CSV2, CRF3
    Lt. Comm: Tac: TT1, CRF1, APO1
    Lt. Eng: ET1, EPtS2
    Lt. Eng: EPtS1, Aux2SIF1
    Ens. Sci: HE1

    With Engineering Team now curing Scramble Sensors, on top of fixing systems taken offline (like Tholians love to do) and spike healing, I like having it even with 2x Tac Teams.

    Weapons (pure cannons, all AP):
    3x [Borg] MK XII DHCs, 1x Advanced Fleet DHC [Dmg]x3[Acc]
    3x [Borg] MK XII Turrets

    Consoles:
    Engineering:
    2x Neutronium Mk XI blue
    Borg Module
    Point Defense (from Thunderchild ship)
    Sci:
    Team Fortess
    Shield capacity console
    Tac:
    4x AP mags Mk XI blue

    MACO Space set

    I went with:

    Eng. Lt.: EptS1, Aux2SIF1
    Sci. Ensign: HE1

    Also using Photon Torps (Fleet Adv. Accu.) over quantum torps.

    Really works out will and with EptS1, 2x Field Gens MK XI blue and Team Fortress I don't miss TTS2 at all.
