Season 7 REVIEW DEVS READ THIS!!!

Season seven is the best exsample of how PW can cause players to quit. For exsample/ If we had any EDCs left over from season 6 it turned into a reward box for your efforts in STFs. problem is you can use it until you unlock tier 3 of the omega reputation!!! Thats like saying here you go here is a reward for playing our game but you cant have it even though you have already earned it you need to earn it again!
Also the borg set has been completely nerfed! My build and setup for my toon had to be changed because PW couldnt just leave it alone. I have no problem with changing content in fact i welcome it but only when it doesnt interfere with Everybodys characters.
I used to be able to tank cubes and now i die just by flying by them!!! Another thing is the annoying noobs and bad players whining that the game is unbalenced causing PW to make it to where we have to do projects now to earn set gear?????? what the hell for? now I have to wait a full day before a project even finishes to get anything when before I had more to do by doing stfs collecting gear and "earning" my sets. they didnt make it easier they made it more anoyying. The projects should at least be finished when you fill them and not make us wait a full day and a half of doing nothing just to wait for it to finish.......anyway i hope something changes soon because I will not get back to gold if they keep making bad choices like this!!!!!!!

If I were a mod we wouldnt even be having this discussion, since this thread would already be merged. But since I'm not a mod, I'm politely asking a fellow forum poster not to post duplicate threads.
no he has a right to make his own Thread if he likes what would you merged with the CDers again he has the right to make a Review of his own thots like the ppl have been doing on this forums from day one of the game

Surely as a fellow gamer, it would be better to find out why they are not happy with the changes, instead of thinking you are better then them. Don't you want more people playing this game, thus hopefully enjoying and spending money, keeping the game afloat?

Your answer to the problem is far more original than the complaints used. As a matter of fact it's the first time I've heard it and is great logic. You should be Yoda. Not because he was wise but because he was totally oblivious and overly sure of himself.

As to the ops anger, I can understand it. I fly now a tactical escort refit, with a crew of 50. Before the Borg set was nerfed the shield was the BEST regen shield in the game. It beat out all other sets. Making it perfect for escorts. After season 7 the max cap went from 5k+ to below 5k. Escorts are moving cannons, taking the one set that was good for escorts and scrapping it was not cool.
For all this good the devs keep talking about for season 7. I have yet to read one blog, one post that breaks the numbers for the rep system down. What I mean by that is how many days to do teir? What will the missions cost me as a progress? What does the gear cost exactly? Are the rumors true about it taking years to unlock everything for omega or the Romulans? The fact is they have beat around the bush on these questions sense before season 7. The way they made the lock box only open until rep tier 3, tells me as a player they do not want people to know, because they know how badly everyone will react if the facts are out there. Tomorrow the rep store will be unlocked for my toon so I will at least get a view.
Hiding information about your own content is very bad image to present when it comes to a game.
Players are always quitting every season it's not new. and they only changed certain things back because of the certain data, not because the forums had i quit slogans....if that worked KDF would have what they want.
If I were the "head boss of the forums" I wouldnt have said "please". On a related note, reading comprehension is a great skill to have!
By and large, the people who post to a forum are not the people who they're gonna listen to. Not immediately, anyway. Because the people who post to the forum are the ones who are most invested in the game.
Now, that sounds counter-intuitive, but think about this. Once you're invested in the game...how likely are you to quit? I mean, how *really* likely are you to quit, not how likely are you to claim you'll quit. Because I remember the 'outcry' of pretty much every major game release ever, and how many people got up in arms and got onto forums and yelled about how it was RUINING THE BIZNZZ!@22!@!!!
And then, after the dust settled? Those games still made TRIBBLE-tons of money.
Seriously, every change in the game is going to lose some players, and gain some players. Every change is going to make some people upset, and some people happy, and some people won't care. What's going to happen is that in a couple of weeks, Cryptic is going to look at the numbers, see how many people actually keep playing, and adjust based on that.
And that's it. All the yelling and screaming on the forum won't get them to change anything. At best, they will look to the forum for possible ways to change things.

Players quit, and they could afford to ignore the Klingons due to the number of players that played the klingons. This was something far worse messing with pve end game content is like a death sentence to a mmo, unless it is done correctly. It is clear this was not done correctly.
No mmo survives on a poor end game pve system. End game pve first priority, end game pvp second priority, and lastly sandbox or any kind of substance that builds up said game. This is the typical operating procedure for the more better mmos, as they understand how important the end game pve content is to the player base of a mmo.

you tell me I am arrogant yet, you have such arrogance that you assume you are better than me, I personally love STO and for those who quit it is either due to temper being flared or just childish rhetoric of "wah someone took away the easy paths to get free stuff" Belive me I have been here since the start, I have seen these kinds of things happen.
people are acting like this is a huge thing that will drive many players away....well guess what, when dilithium was first introduced people were the same damn way only then they were much more vocal and showed stats about how it is going to cut into PWE and Cryptic s budget.
yet just the opposite has occurred.
btw I support season 7 now because it is still in the ******n temperance stage, it has bugs that no one thought to report when testing it in tribble still.
plus those who quit over a "Few" changes are just throwing temper tantrums, I have seen it in many games, the craze usually dies fast when people realize the things they assume to be big are tiny in comparison to what they really have on their plates.
I have seen threads where people complained the Rep system is going to be a drain on EC. I laughed heartily at that because its bull crock, I spent maybe 100k on the mats needed for 4 separate projects.
I have seen threads where people threatened to stop paying PWE and Cryptic altogether...I knew some of them and saw they bought vesta classes. this made me chuckle.
I have even seen people claim cryptic is forcing people to buy zen in the pattern that is laid out, yet there is the Peanut labs surveys which are great for getting zen quick and free, like the gamefly survey, it pumps out 1,200 zen in most cases, and you can sign up then quit with no charges made whatsoever.
People assume because there is a ruckus over one or two things that the entire season is broken, many people have been begging for "into the hive" for years and now that we have it, they feel they need to complain about how the "easy ways" to get dilithium are gone. and not to mention, we have a new sector, the closest thing to trek lore with the aiding romulans bit, hell its Romulans, something people wanted more closure on.
so yea I feel those who quit made the game better by their absence because they would not be sending a message to cryptic in a threatening way. when one player leaves its nothing, if 1,000 players leave its something to be glanced at, if 30k players leave then its a threat. by them quitting they are not helping anyone, they are not contributing to making the game fun in any way and they are just griping which ruins everyone elses time.
if they feel that a few non essential changes are preventing them from playing the game then they are the ones who had a flawed logic as to what the game is.
SWG lasted for 6 years after the NGE. So if S7 is STO's NGE, the game will be around until 2018-9

So when another Star Trek online or if one comes out STO will fade away.

ppl are turning on PWE.cryptic every day ones that a year ago was ones the CDers but hey that me

You were the one that brought up the NGE, not me. If you want to compare S7 to the NGE, go right ahead. But that means STO has many more years ahead of it. But I'm sure you werent thinking of that little piece of information when you brought it up, so you go ahead and keep backpeddling away from your own example
