I'm sorry but this seems like I'm a little short changed. The borg Neural Processors should be one to one conversion rate
And Dilithium conversion also seems a lot short changed.
I'm sure you're 'happy' that you released the conversion box but you haven't really told us the actual conversion rates for each unit and how you came to your calculations
It makes me want to sell all my stuff for dilithium--Which makes me think that is what you want us to do for some reason...
Of course, a better solution would be for us to manually goto a vendor and exchange it ourselves that way we can decided how many Neural processors or Omega Marks we want..
This feels like something someone fluent in spreadsheeting could turn into a google doc, similar to the DOFFS spreadsheet. Might be easier to discern results then?
The real question is what is the new pricing on the gear? Is 3000 omega marks a lot? Or, better way to put it is what is the purchasing power of 3000 marks and 13 neuroprocessors? If 1 piece of mark XII set piece is going to cost 10 neuroprocessors and 1000 marks, then you are not getting a lot of value out of the conversion.

When Dan said that each proto-piece would convert to retain purchasing power, I was happy to hear it. After looking at this, are you kidding me. consider all of my stuff dilithium converted. Such a shame.
My main character conversion :
EDC - 2067
Rare Salvage - 128
Proto Salvage - 218
Rare Tech - 53
Proto Tech - 27
Result is 9000 Omega Marks, 15 BNP, 64,000 Dilithium.
I was going to rush into DS9, and convert it all to Dilithium, but then realized that might only make sense if I plan on continuing in this game. I have a tendency to stop dealing with people & organizations that are annoying, being told that ( Sn7 Dev Blog 8 ) :
" The goal of the conversion is to make it fair and equitable for everyone and especially reward those that have been playing STFs for “many months” so that you will have a leg up in the new system. "
and seeing the actual results, certainly qualifies as annoying.
It is becoming obvious that there is a "Tier" structure in place in the conversion, that especially PENALIZES those that have been playing STF's for "many months" ....
It is still unclear ( to me, atm) as to what the price of the Tier 5 gear will be, but if 1 BNP is required for each, then 27 Proto dropped to 15 BNP is definitely not a "fair" conversion . ( not to mention any other resources that might be needed in the purchase, or the Proto Salvage )
Another consideration is that ALL of the Dilithium that I gain from a full conversion to Dilithium is Ore, not Refined, and would take me 121 days to refine.
My main character is fully geared with MKXII equipment, ( which either "doesn't work properly (Borg weapon proc )", or its effectiveness is due to be nerfed via a combination of set reworks ( Borg console shift to a new set ) and/or passive power reductions ( 25% reduction in buff/debuffs observed on Tribble, but not documented in Patch Notes [please feel free to correct me if I am wrong]).
All of that would need to be replaced with the new gear, at the new rates.
This is the 2nd time I have been "devalued" in a currency conversion.
Somehow, I can't see Kirk, Picard, Sisko, Janeway, or Archer finding this acceptable.

BTW .... * evil grin *
Is there any truth to the rumour our characters are going anime in Season 9, or that "Transformer" ships are coming in future lockboxes ?
Given the circumstances, not as easy to dismiss as one might like.....
*waits for Dev to claim system is still being Tweeked*
*then waits for system to hit holodeck as is*
its being tweaked but its going to be late to implement, expect some promises about retaining purchasing power to come out soon. False information and a money grap just liek F2P conversion. Fool me once....*Derp*
Wsn't there gonna be a Dev Blog explaining the conversion rates?

We will be bringing the Tribble server down for maintenance to apply a new update.
ST.25.20121026a.10
General:
Increased the number of Borg Neural Processors in Omega Conversion Crates.
Players will have to re-copy characters from Holodeck to see this update.

21 EDC (and nothing else, cashed that in before) = 4000 omega marks and 7 BNP
That can't be right. I have 150 EDC (plus some salvage and tech) and only got 3000 marks. And this doesn't jive with what other people have been reporting. You sure you didn't miss counting some stuff in your bank? Perhaps you missed a stack of 99 EDCs?

I'll have to check my bank when I get home. It is a bit of a mess.

EDC's x510
Rare Borg Tech x49
Very Rare Tech x51
Rare Salvage x250
Very Rare Salvage x146
If I were to trade those in now I would get 823,488 Dilithium.
What I got in my Omega conversion box:
Omega Marks: 7,000
Neural Processors: 15
Dilithium: 48,000

a history of sto pvp: 2010 - 2011
a history of sto pvp: 2012 - 2013
74 EDC
7 Rare Techs
7 Rare Salvage
4 Prototype Salvage
I received
2000/9/2000
Time to cash out most of that I think.
21 Prototype Salvage
4 Prototype Tech
65 Rare Salvage
6 Rare Tech
294 EDC
3500 OM, 15 BNP, 8000 Dil
Tribble Ereth (Older):
15 Prototype Salvage
1 Prototype Tech
40 Rare Salvage
5 Rare Tech
160 EDC
3000 OM, 13 BNP, 4000 Dil
Clearly there's some pretty harsh cutoffs in there. So I guess it's time to pimp the shuttles, and collect some quick Dilithium.
What combination gives us the most Marks and BNP.
We can sell the rest for Dilithium as this seems to be best option.
->
3000 Omega Marks, 13 BNP, 4000 Dilitium Ore
173 EDC = 86 Elite STF runs (actually less because I collected extra EDC, but let's not take that into account here)
1 Elite STF = 60 Omega Marks, 1 BNP, ca. 900 Dilithium Ore
86 Elte STF = 5160, 86 BNP
Edit: I took the dilithium out of the equation because I got dilithium from those runs and it won't be converted, so I keep it anyway.
4 edc =250 omega marks +1 bnp
8 edc + 1 Prototype shield = 1000 omega marks +5 bnp
38 edc + 2 prototype shield + 1 rare psg + 3 prototype salvage + 6 rare salvage = 1500 omega marks +7 bnp + 1000 dilithium

If that is the case, than I can safely cash in all my tech, salvage and most of my edc's for dilithium and just keep 21 edc for the 4000 Marks
Yes, and by all accounts people went from 15 bnp's to 18!
Hardly doubling them as they said they would
